Preseason game strategy

I get why you don't want to put players out there in meaningless games and risk injury. However, with watered down practices, I'm curious why teams don't put more players out there for the preseason games. I think it was the Rams that kept their starters out of all preseason games and maybe it worked for them. But I'd prefer to see more preseason action for the starters. It will be interesting to see how the Giants proceed.

With the cutback on practices/preseason games, I too would like to see the starters get more snaps in the preseason. I'm curious to see what Daboll does.

Well if Jones is really shitting the bed like all the experts think he is. He better beg on his life to play every pre season snap. His entire career is on the line and if he gets hurt it wont matter anyways.

Add in that this is a new Oline, several new offensive playmakers, and a new offensive scheme and it would make sense to have the starters play a lot during the preseason.
Everybody on the first team Offense plays entire first half except

Thomas and Feliciano, as they only play a series or two.

Everybody on first team Defense play entire first half except Williams and McKinney, as they only play a series or two.

Jones plays first half of game 1, Taylor play first half of game 2 and then they each play a quarter of game 3.

Be ready to play when the season starts...
I would not play anyone week 1

Play a quarter game 2. And a half game three.
