Seems like a great teammate and good dude. I would really really love to see a huge bounce back season from him.
its going to happen. 1. his knee is back 2. Coaches are not Judge and Garrett who between them have no fucking idea how nfl offenses work.
I won’t make any proclamations with surety. I genuinely believed he would destroy Giants records. Now, I need to be content with just hoping he gets his confidence back. But, I’ve always been in Barkley’s corner while acknowledging he was the wrong pick. Hoping for some electric games from him this year. Been missing that the last 2 seasons.
From scrimmage plays 773, Yards 5038, Average 6.5, TDs 51
Come on now, Giants fans stop hating on Saquon, Tucker Fredrickson got hurt too early in his career. We were broken hearted when that happened (and we remember him fondly).
RE: It's a bit tiring, hearing all the bad-mouthing Barkley gets here ....

Yeah, we remember him fondly, but not for having a great career after coming back from an injury. We remember Tucker for unfulfilled promise.
Many here were all worked up about a "franchise QB"; the strongest contenders camps were Sam Darnold vs. Josh Rosen. Once-in-a-while Wyoming's Josh Allen was mentioned.(The former two, basic #1 flops).
In hindsight, we maybe should have scooped up Allen at the top of the board (but so should five other teams). But, as Saquon's numbers against some of the top teams in the country reflect, they were hard to ignore.
Fredrickson was picked #1 over-all by the Giants over the Kansas Comet in '65. Barring no injuries to him, Sayers and Saquaon, Tucker would have never been in that league.
Treating Saquon like flea-bitten bum is what irks me.
Missing blocks etc(even Eli yelled at him). In 2011, he often had to fight through lousy O-line blocking to succeed, maybe Saquon will have to do the same, let's hope not.
Recall, the great Barry Sanders was forced to put up with the same things with the Lions (often getting caught behind the L.O.S.). Towards the end, he grew tired of it and surprised everybody by quitting when he had a good 3-4 years left in him.
With Barry, not only did he have to put up with the fans bitching, but his own dad dogging him about why didn't he attack the L.O.S. the way Jim Brown did - punishing and running over tacklers.
Lemieux pulling from C (great feet and play speed) and Evan Neal driving Jihad Ward off the screen.
There's a huge lane for Barkley and it's game over.
Those are the kinds of off-tackle runs that have been missing due to poor OT play. And that's what 26 does best.
Maybe we've finally gotten things figured (big picture wise) so we're at least making sense offensively.

Gettleman picked the BPA in Saquon. Lets compare him to the elite in the history of Division 1 football ...

Is he going to dance on every handoff?
Will he still refuse to take the 3/4 yard game?
Does he actually remember the playbook and not have to ask the QB what he is supposed to do every play?
He fixes those and he has the physical ability to be good.
