Justin Pugh is such a talkative douche

And they are both staring at each other as Murray gets crushed.
You’re welcome

Now let’s wait and see if Pugh feels the same once the real games start and sees how badly Will sucks.

Pugh had to take a paycut to remain on tje team. And he talks so much. JonC, you were so right about that dude.

Pugh is a charmer/charismatic type of guy, probably someone who would be fun to hang around. But IMO he is the quintessential "locker room lawyer" type.
Hernandez was always fiesty

after giving up a sack or having a running back blown up from a missed block.
I am friends with
Giantophile : 8/7/2022 2:24 pm : link
Some people he grew up with and is still close with. I never liked him but by all accounts he's a solid guy to his buddies from childhood after "making it big"...which I guess isn't saying too much.
if only Pugh could block half as well as he talks
kelly : 8/7/2022 2:26 pm : link
never could stand this guy. Always talked about needing line chemistry as he was driven into the backfield time and again.

I remember Snee and O'Hara saying they could outlift Pugh even after he had been in the league for years.

His talk never matched his performance.
I wouldn’t make a big deal about this.
Keaton028 : 8/7/2022 2:49 pm : link
Pugh has not really done anything of significance since leaving the Giants nor has the Cardinals done anything since acquiring him. Nothing to see here.

We don't have to imagine it. Every DC we played against blew his doors off for 4 years. I still remember Mark Schlereth commentating a Giants game and basically saying Hernandez had no clue how to play football.

Like Evan Engram, he's demonstrated that he's a bad football player over an incredibly large sample size.
Cap number $7.5

Pugh is a guard with $7.5mm cap hit. Having Pugh and Hernandex is a good reason to have a mobile QB!
Where did Pugh inherit this reputation
ghost718 : 8/7/2022 6:08 pm : link
as a brawler?

They must be easy to fool out there
I have never really cared about Pugh with his little pot shots

Chucklehead...

That seem to really take it personal. Pugh, Flowers, Collins

Somewhat rare for a franchise like the Giants, which most ex players speak of with reverence. 🤷‍♂️

Pugh, Flowers, & Collins won jack here. Of the three, Flowers was the worst in terms of temperament. He quit on the team.
That tweet is gonna age like milk
j_rud : 8/7/2022 7:12 pm : link
I'd love to see someone remind him of this say around week 3, when Hernandez will have already blown a dozen stunts. Hey, he's feisty though!

To be fair to Collins, it was in DG's first year when he left and DG stated that they were letting players go to improve the culture around the Giants. While it could be argued that DG was talking more about OBJ than anyone else, Collins took that personal like most of us would as well.

NFL player hate Gettleman, and they Giants didn't give them 2nd contracts (and Flowers got cut) so they are butt hurt about it.
Says the guy that almost retired over a pay cut

What a stupid comment - it screams of a guy who takes himself too seriously. It's not hockey buddy - everyone defends their own after a cheap shot, if you think the NFL expects one person to take care of that then we are watching different sports.

They were never going to give him the cash he got from Washington. He was leaving and that comment wasn’t about him and he knew that. DG inherited a mess. DG took the heat for Mara w reading the team up. Horrible hire but was he going to say no I don’t want the job?

Pugh was a bad pick like all of Reese’s OL picks. Zero clue on that part of the team for 10 years. Ad FA signings on top of mediocre to crap picks
