My hope is Ezeudu becomes the next starting LG sooner than later. He would add more stability and work better in the scheme Lemieux in my view. Depth on the T spot is thin but sounds like Schoen is looking around for that - now and after the cuts.
TE is another spot I see them addressing cuts. Seems Bellinger and Miller can be two spots, but they do need someone in there who's had experience especially blocking.
Evan Engram single handedly lost games in the last 3 seasons. Minor contributions and so so blocking will be an upgrade over fumbles, dropped passes in big spots and balls tipped in the air resulting in easy turnovers

I had Gono and McKethan as OL numbers 7&8 on the depth chart, so their loses are a big hit. But I really didn’t want to see either get many game reps. I’m much more confident and emotionally invested in the first 6. And while I look forward to Ezuedo eventually taking a starting role, I think best case scenario for the team in the long run would be for LeMieux to blossom in year 3 and become a fixture at LG, while Ezuedo spends a year as 6th man super sub before taking over at RG next season.
Then 2023 could like like Thomas. LeMieux.Feliciano. Ezuedo. Neal with Glowinski, Gates, McKethan and a rookie as the backups.
In the meantime, I’m not too concerned about the 7-9 spots, Garcia, Bredeson and a player to be determined since they probably won’t be here much longer anyway.
Loving the Ezeudu comments, not just because it means we probably hit on a 3rd rounder but what it shows about the new regimes talent evaluation skills.
To gauge what the potential of the current team might be. With that said I’m talking defense and specifically the 96-97 giants defense.
96 unit was quite unproven but ended the season as a solidified and good defense. One that cemented itself for multiple seasons- (despite the step back in parts of 99 it was an above average unit for many years after 95)—-As far as known talents you really only had hammer at DT. Strahan was ascending. Guys like sehorn and Armstead really only flashed on specials, especially the latter. By the time 96 ended we had 3-4 studs and a few more good players to build around. Could we say the same after this coming season? It’s certainly possible. But there are questions that need answering in positive fashion.
*If few highly drafted players emerge. Some already have. McKinney is the goods. Jackson can play corner like sparks could back in the day. Leonard Williams, despite the complaining by many, is a stud. Dexter is a good player to work with. The DL can hold its end of the bargain. Martinez in the middle.
The questions come down to guys like Thibs and Ojulari. If they can get after it, we might be saying the same things in January 23 that we were saying in January of 97 if a few ifs go our way, and I don’t the ifs are unreasonable ones.
The D has pieces in place we just need that sizzle. 96 got it from the likes of Armstead and sehorn and strahan. Maybe guys like McKinney, Williams and Thibs can carry the torch. Sprinkle in solid guys like dex, Martinez, Ojulari, love and Jackson… maybe we got something here.
that the defense is as good as Sy believes - well at least the talent seems to be there in certain spots. It does sound as if we will see good defense.
On offense, let's hope the line comes together and at least they can run the ball with some confidence. Glad that Daboll was getting on Barkley about hitting the hole hard.
It’s very early so he can correct some things before opener
Balance supposably an issue at times. I wonder what can be corrected, what we may just have to deal with and is it more mental than physical
I am looking forward to watch him Thursday
I can live with some dog plays as long as the dominant ones occur more!
Hope beavers and McFadden show enough to contribute in 22
Any info re: Roy M at OT?
Can we stash h8m as an international player. Or the we have to hope know one grabs him of PS?
Okay, I just checked his highlights out- I must say, he looks explosive….great use of body. I can’t tell if his hands are great but they are great in the video clips on YouTube.
He gets separation too. Pretty big guy. I feel a bit better now if Golladay goes down.
has bounced around for 3 years, mostly on practice squads. He was activated by Oakland for a game against the Bills in Oct. 2020, so maybe Daboll liked him there
His contract pretty much locks him in through 2023. Even if he gets unseated as a starter next year, the guaranteed money might keep him on the team unless a trade partner were willing to take on the guaranteed salary.

Not this year. Feliciano was hand-picked by the GM, HC, and OL coach.
Man it would make this UCD alumni happy if Doss makes the squad!

I’m sure he was referring to Doss….whoever he is…..I guess I should go to YouTube to check him out.
