You're missing the point.

bw in dc is a smart guy, but they only thing he posts about is Daniel Jones. Non stop.

When you post exclusively about one thing, people tune you out.

The most important position on the team deserves to be talked about every day, though.

It’s only annoying to some because the guy stinks.

I apologize if I'm missing your other posts, but all I see you post all of the time now is "Daniel Jones sucks."

I miss your commentary on other matters.

I have never, ever said Daniel Jones sucks. Never. I have always tried to criticize using metrics and some common sense via the eye-test.

If everyone on this site posted every day that Daniel Jones sucks, then this would be a very boring site.

Again, you are missing the point.

Just post more about Centers or Chris Mara, and he'll get off your back...
bw smart guy?

Interesting. He has little understanding of the position if you read closely enough.

When people pick apart his stat centric posts you have not seen the pattern?

Abandon and seek the next Jones post and try again.

The last draft I think he was one of a few of the QB gurus clamoring for Willis/Corral at pick 5. Giants messed up and took Thibs.

I look forward to the day when you have an epiphany and realize just how destructive Chris Mara has been to this organization... ;)

At 5, it was unlikely Thibs would be there at 5. It’s disingenuous to hold that against people.

Ha...and I of course welcome being shown that path of destruction that he marched everybody down.

Uh, I never said take Corral at #5. Nice try.

On Willis, I said it would be a bold move that I would endorse but couldn't see Schoen doing it because it seemed like it 2022 was going to be another audition for Jones to prove himself.

Let me apologize for using stats to try to prove a point. I know in your world football is the ultimate team sport and the QB is just another piece in the puzzle. No more important than the C or LG.

This is false. Thibs stock was dropping by the “experts” and only a few of us wanted Thibs 5th.

The people who wanted Corral or Wilis wanted him at number 5 no matter what. Thibs was only wanted by a few people at #5. In fact I bet there were more people who wanted no part of him cause of his numbers, Utah games, and his “brand.”

You were a fan of taking a QB at 5. No need to backtrack.

The NFL many times comes down to one-on-one matchups and who can make the play. Seems we are in a stretch right now where Jones can't make the play. And that most of his errors are on single cover matchups.

Phil Simms once said of the '86 team that they got so good that if he went to the LOS to tell the defense the play the defense still wouldn't be able to stop it. Perhaps not quite an apple to apple, but you get the point...

Comparing the Simms '86 SB winning team and OL (let's not forget Zeke) to the past three years and this camp, this Card practice: bw, however it ends up for Jones, you're soiling yourself, it's all too revealing and embarrassing.

No, I was a fan of taking a QB at either 5 or 7.

There is no backtracking.

In the days leading up to the draft the number of mocks that had Thibs in the top 4 vs available at 5 was 50-50. And throughout a majority of the draft process Thibs wasn’t going to be available at 5

Daniel Jeremiah had him going 10 the day before the draft
Walter football had him 8th in his final draft
Danny Kelly from the ringer had him going 7
Ryan Wilson from CBS had him 14
Kiper had him 12th
McShay had him 8th
Bucky brooks had him 9th

Now there were some like you said had him top 5. But the majority did not.
But again you’re focusing just on the days leading up to the draft
ajr2456 : 8/9/2022 5:42 pm : link
Up until April it wasn’t realistic to think we could have had a shot at Thibs

Well if you’re taking about January and parts of February - sure you’re right. But it was clear after the combine and the reports of his “brand” became known - it was widely accepted he was slipping.

And I could say the same thing about Neal where he was projected a top 3 for most of the time until he slips. But there’s no doubt that Thibs was slipping to the point where the majority didn’t see him as a top 5 pick come draft time.
We saved both Thibs and Neal

In other words, since Jones doesn't appear to be succeeding when throwing into tight areas (aka throwing receivers open), just look the other way...right?

If Jones was completing these passes, would you feel the same? It's just practice, who cares if Jones is putting the ball into tight spaces...?

Really reaching for the digs today, eh? Jones is doing enough by himself to get benched. He doesn't need your help or POV on a day when you were told that everyone knows the play.

Just because you know the play doesn't mean you can execute to stop it.

The NFL many times comes down to one-on-one matchups and who can make the play. Seems we are in a stretch right now where Jones can't make the play. And that most of his errors are on single cover matchups.

actually if an NFL DB knows the route he is not going to get beat.
That's not the same thing it's calling it off tackle play and letting the defense know it's coming.
