What can we really expect to learn tonight?

going to learn how far off the offense still is. A lot of young players, injured players, not so great players and learning a new system.

until we’re 4 games into the regular season. I think that’s roughly when we’ll know if there’s actually been significant progress.

Unless someone has a slam-dunk, Victor Cruz-like preseason, it's hard for a fan to glean much. Every year you get a guy who really lights up preseason and you think he's a sure thing to make the roster, and then he doesn't.
