Tough to gauge in 1st preseason game. Look to see improvement in each preseason game. Hope the whole team can gel and show real life in 2nd half of season after they get into rhythm. If they stay healthy. This is not a good team. This is a multi year rebuild. I just want to see improvement this season.

I think you hit on all the main things I saw. I was actually really impressed with the OL 2nd & 3rd teams. It's been forever that we can say that. They were moving people and it wasn't a jailbreak on passes every play.
Daniel Jones..solid outing. Nothing spectacular or awe-inspiring, but he did a fine job.
Tyrod Taylor was flashier than DJ and took more risks. He had a couple of errant throws, but overall he was very good tonight.
Really liked what I saw from the RB depth. Corbin, Williams and Brightwell all ran with juice. Platzgummer had a nice run towards the end of the game.

Just talked to #Giants LG Shane Lemieux in the locker room. He's in the walking boot and will go for tests tomorrow morning to determine the severity of the toe injury. Hopeful it's not turf toe, but won't know extent or diagnosis until after his doctor's visit. So we'll see.
was just better than the last few years. No jailbreak sacks. Running backs not getting blown up in the backfield, actual holes to hit. D really good against the run. Not too many penalties, minimum confusion. Coaching matters. Organization matters. And even in preseason, and especially for this team, taking the ball down the field for a winning FG is a nice start.

Aaron Robinson is going to get picked on. He got picked on versus Philly last year and was bailed out by Reagor's drops. Similar to TE room- they need to be working the waiver wire hard. Don't feel great about the CB room beyond Adoree.
Young LB's always look great in preseason games but Beavers & McFadden were all over the place. Beavers especially- physical and looked lighter on his feet than his college tape showed.

So, I didn't see Jones. I really wanted to see Robinson (WR), but it sounds like nothing missed there.
I thought Taylor looked good overall. But, he got away with a few high passes in the middle of the field. But, he looked good in the pocket, was confident, knew when to break the pocket, and fairly accurate. At the very worst, he is the best backup we have had in a LONG time.
Brightwell and the other backup RBs looked good.
Beavers was my favorite guy to see tonight. I think he may be one of the best steals of the draft when all is said and done.
I wouldn't mind having another punter in for a look.
My biggest concern was Evan Neal. I know he's just a rookie and needs

we looked Competent... which may not sound like much, but compared to past years (especially pre-season where we often couldn't move the ball 10 years all of the 2nd half in previous years) this was a major upgrade.
Let's hope it continues and we keep getting better.

Wan'Dale and Thibodeaux didn't play a whole lot. Neal same although he got spun around on the playaction call and allowed a sack.
Flott got injured and didn't jump out. Not necessarily bad but hopefully he's ok.
Ezeudu looked decent but better in the run.
Bellinger didn't impress but it's his first game and pressed against better players. Sadly no other TE stuck out. Feel like Schoen will look at cuts soon perhaps for both 2nd and 3rd guys.
McFadden looked okay. Beavers stood out and was very active.
I know it's only preseason but this game had a different
Feel to it than in the past. Was it because NE didn't play many starters? I don't know. But it always felt like Giants were in this game and not overmatched. I thought all three QBs were fine for what was expected and the RBs were terrific. Hard nose running no dancing. Giants have work to do but a good first preseason game. Think coaches did a good job especially with no game planning. Loved the tempo of the offense. Got right to the line of scrimmage giving QBs time to see what defense was doing. Very aggressive style.
From my viewpoint I thought things looked halfway decent.
Team played with energy, ran the ball with a purpose and stopped it too. Gained a good amount of yards and moved the ball on almost every drive.
Would have liked to see them convert aTD on that first drive but it is obvious Golladay is going to continue to be a problem for this team. Toney has got to get onto the field and maybe this Wandale Robinson can help some, but passing seems like it will be pretty laborious once again this season.
Jones may not be very good, but he has some serious jack-offs playing WR for him...
I’m happier than I’ve been in a while in the direction
of the team/franchise but unfortunately it looks like 2022 is going to be a rough go and we’re going to be picking in the single digits again.
Our CBs are going to get eaten alive and we’re just going to have to wait until next year to upgrade there. Even Neal working on his balance and showing the improvement that Thomas did toward the end of his rookie year is crucial.

Thought both of our QBs were a little sketchy with Taylor showing a bit more poise/awareness with bodies around him versus Jones.
Golladay can't be this bad, can he? And when paired with Jones, they are just an awful combination.
First Team offense not getting a touchdown was disappointing.
OL reserves did a credible job against whatever they were facing. Our First Team OL wasn't anything special.

we looked Competent... which may not sound like much, but compared to past years (especially pre-season where we often couldn't move the ball 10 years all of the 2nd half in previous years) this was a major upgrade.
Let's hope it continues and we keep getting better.

Pass Blocking will come with time. Run blocking is encouraging.

2. We all love Beavers
Wan'Dale and Thibodeaux didn't play a whole lot. Neal same although he got spun around on the playaction call and allowed a sack.
Flott got injured and didn't jump out. Not necessarily bad but hopefully he's ok.
Ezeudu looked decent but better in the run.
Bellinger didn't impress but it's his first game and pressed against better players. Sadly no other TE stuck out. Feel like Schoen will look at cuts soon perhaps for both 2nd and 3rd guys.
McFadden looked okay. Beavers stood out and was very active.
Would have liked to see them convert aTD on that first drive but it is obvious Golladay is going to continue to be a problem for this team. Toney has got to get onto the field and maybe this Wandale Robinson can help some, but passing seems like it will be pretty laborious once again this season.
Jones may not be very good, but he has some serious jack-offs playing WR for him...
Our CBs are going to get eaten alive and we’re just going to have to wait until next year to upgrade there. Even Neal working on his balance and showing the improvement that Thomas did toward the end of his rookie year is crucial.
