Schoen didn't pick up DJ's fifth-year option. He's in his contract year. He needs to prove that he's the QB of the future and earn that second contract from us.

didn't pick up the fifth year option on Jones. How many times has a team not done so and then signed or tagged the player the following season, especially a QB? And because Jones is a QB the FT is about $30M a year IIRC.

Mentioned how the rookies will shine bright but noted how he inherited some pieces too. Mentioned Lawrence, Williams l, McKinney, Thomas and Barkley.

He didn't mention Golladay either. Jones is not surprising since they declined his 5th year option and Taylor getting a 2 year deal. They will scout QB's hard this Fall.

Hasn’t been good, and Schoen didn’t draft him. He’s not married to Jones in any way shape or form.

Dismiss it all you want but I heard it and it was pretty telling and certainly worth noting here.

Jones isn’t long for this team barring a miraculous turnaround.

I think, in his mind, it is beyond that. If he felt Jones had a chance of earning a second contract he would have exercised the 5th year.

watch the actions, don't rely on the words.

Schoen is too smart to intentionally leave out Jones and create such a stir.

Zog, I think most people understand it's a prove it year. A lot of people are 100% certain that he won't prove it, while some still believe with better coaching, play calling, better OL, healthy Saquon and receivers, that there's a chance he does prove he's good enough (to win the big one with a good enough team).

I agree that JS not mentioning his name is not news and basically means nothing.

It’s a sad comment of the limitations of our youth, their lack of creativity, and knowledge. Just repeat the same drivel again and again. Most of these whiners and complainers have never been in highly competitive situations, in life threatening issues and not just a football game.

There a lot to talk about from last nights game besides comments on DJ. But OCD is a bad disease. How this group can poison a site that has been a pleasure to have for insightful giant info from very knowledgable fans is depressingly amazing. It’s like “Grahams law, “Bad money drives out good.”

It’s hard to even find it amusing as it’s so simplistic and repetitive. See what you all can learn about people and football, you will be the better for it.
