at one point they are talking about how the team is basically a total rebuild but he stops to say that they were handed some good pieces, he mentions Dex, Williams, X and Thomas, maybe one or two others BUT he didn't mention JONES. It came off to me as pretty damning and while I keep hoping for the best with DJ I just see his chances of being here next year dropping day by day.
I wouldn't bet against him being benched at some point either. Writing is on the wall, I'm kind of surprised that his statement surprised you.
He didn't mention Golladay either. Jones is not surprising since they declined his 5th year option and Taylor getting a 2 year deal. They will scout QB's hard this Fall.
This analyzing over everything that someone says or doesn't say is beyond ridiculous.
How about this. Let the season play out and see what happens. A lot can happen between now and then

Dismiss it all you want but I heard it and it was pretty telling and certainly worth noting here.
Jones isn’t long for this team barring a miraculous turnaround.

you have to rebuild with a QB on a rookie deal.
I think, in his mind, it is beyond that. If he felt Jones had a chance of earning a second contract he would have exercised the 5th year.
He was right not to include him.
I just can't believe how hard it is for folks to understand.
Jones is on a prove-it year.

Zog, I think most people understand it's a prove it year. A lot of people are 100% certain that he won't prove it, while some still believe with better coaching, play calling, better OL, healthy Saquon and receivers, that there's a chance he does prove he's good enough (to win the big one with a good enough team).
I agree that JS not mentioning his name is not news and basically means nothing.
normal crowd.
It’s a sad comment of the limitations of our youth, their lack of creativity, and knowledge. Just repeat the same drivel again and again. Most of these whiners and complainers have never been in highly competitive situations, in life threatening issues and not just a football game.
There a lot to talk about from last nights game besides comments on DJ. But OCD is a bad disease. How this group can poison a site that has been a pleasure to have for insightful giant info from very knowledgable fans is depressingly amazing. It’s like “Grahams law, “Bad money drives out good.”
It’s hard to even find it amusing as it’s so simplistic and repetitive. See what you all can learn about people and football, you will be the better for it.
No, someone mentioned last night it’s been getting quite a bit of traffic.

ok, didn't realize that.
JFC, the QB position is the key to winning NFL games. Not to mention Jones is significant.
