Douglas has won a total of 6 games in his first two full years. If they win 3-4 games this year there’s no way they bring him back and if you fire him you’re firing his handpicked coach too. That’s the way it works in the NFL
Douglas is viewed as a god by Jets fans, they think he can do no wrong..
Literally when they signed Duane Brown, my friend who is Jets fan said Joe Douglas is so smart he replaced a bad RT with a good one...conpletely ignoring that Douglas wiffed on a top 10 pick
JFC, that type of hit in a preseason game should be a major fine.
Sirianni goes nuts. And rightfully so... Cheap Shot Quincy - ( New Window )
A play like that happens multiple times a week. And the refs called the penalty. And the defender did not lead with his head. It was a late hit. And rightfully called.
You want a running QB - those are the risks that come with it. Eagles coach acted like a total baby. Swear some guys rather see two handed touch.

Sources: #Jets believe they’ve avoided worst-case scenario with Zach Wilson’s knee. Genuine belief it’s not season-ending. MRI to confirm their feelings. The hope is that they are looking at weeks, not year. That is feeling as l leaving Philly.
Again: MRI final confirmation

I’ve heard 2-3 weeks best case, 4-6 worst case. He will miss time. The #Jets & Zach Wilson do not believe he is missing the season.
Jets spooked after Becton, which is why they’ve taken this stance. Truly awaiting the confirmation tomorrow, but fans can go to sleep with hope
really want to see him play for a bad team and prove once and for all what he actually is as a QB.
He's a QB that got to the Super Bowl. And got to the NFC championship another year.
That's the type of QB he is. Not great but good enough on a good football team.
Why do you care what he does for another team?
You already know the answer to this question. But I’m case you don’t, I think he isn’t very good and would like to see him play for a team that also isn’t very good. It would be entertaining.

Jets’ QB Zach Wilson has a bone bruise and a meniscus tear and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, as @BrianCoz
also reported. Wilson will undergo arthroscopic surgery to address and correct the injury. Jets consider it fortunate news.

Uh, go watch it again. Williams clearly goes helmet to helmet with Hurts.
It's called tackle football. Not spearing football. Why you suggest people want two hand touch is just daft. Most fans like a hard-hitting game played within the rules where the helmet isn't used as a weapon.
Here's an idea. Go put a helmet on and run. And have another person with a helmet run at you; and have him hit you helmet to helmet. I look forward to your feedback.

The other angle clearly shows he led with his shoulder and forearm.
and definitely don’t think he speared. He lowered his head to make a hit, mostly caught his chest with his shoulder. I’m fine with a flag, but nothing more than that.

Mark Sanchez got pretty far too, twice.
We're talking about the least respected starting QB in the NFL. Why him of all people? Now put Dak Prescott, Kyler murray or Joe Burrow on a bad team is what would pique my interest. I wonder if Fracessa , Mike will finally get his wish and see more of mike glennon as a jet. Although that would mean he had finished a tour of playing with some of the worst teams in the NFL.

You don’t understand? What I’m saying is — it’s kind of weird to wish for him to go to a bad team so he can be “found out” when guess what ? He already has! No one is saying Jimmy G is like this great QB.
There are others however that could possibly be way more interesting who are possibly over hyped that your A/B QB switch tokes to bad team exercise that would be far more telling

Some people..
Isn’t that when he plays good football?
Imagine quoting an ex Giants 12th string “defensive linemen” as a source
I was thinking the same thing. What would you settle for that is reasonable? two or three firsts and a couple day 2 picks?

Yes the jets are so lucky. They will end up with their 3rd franchise QB since 2018 following the greats Darnold and Wilson.

Yep. That's why I loved Scott Stevens hit. They love "the body bag game" and then when Lindros got leveled in 2000. wahhhhhhhh.
