I think we'd all be happy if our punter kicked it from near his endzone to the other...no return is just fine. Can't expect the pun team to cover that distance that fast.
… and has obvious implications for the Giants, if Gillan doesn’t solidify his spot.
The Bills only punted twice against Indy, and both punters did what you expect: Haack punted from midfield, and forced a fair catch at the Colts’ 12. Araiza punted from deep in his own end and launched a rocket.
The problem for Buffalo, if they go with Araiza, is that they have no idea how he will fare in bad weather, or how quickly he will master the nuances that are Haack’s strength. For a cold-weather team likely to play big games at home in December and January, Araiza is a gamble, howitzer leg notwithstanding.

They spent a draft pick on Araiza, so unless he just implodes I don't think it's an "if"
I don't think the Bills would have drafted Araiza...
if they thought that he couldn't handle punting in bad weather, nor do I think a team even drafts a punter if they're happy with the one that they have.
I think Araiza is a "shoe in" to make the team ;>)
I'm assuming there's no chance in hell Buffalo carries two punters on their roster so one of them will be released. If I had a guess, I think Araiza makes the team.
For a team like Buffalo, a sixth-round pick isn’t much of a factor.
They aren’t like the Giants, whose 2021 roster was loaded with guys who didn’t belong in the NFL. Buffalo had three sixth-round picks. At least one is a long shot to make the team.
If the Bills were determined to move on from Haack, they might have taken a punter even earlier. And the staff has acknowledged that Araiza’s hang-time and cold-weather adjustment are big unknowns.
Although Araiza has the inside track, he’s not a shoo-in. Haack had a bad year; he’s not a bad punter. Until 2021, he was a good one - as it happens, playing mostly in ideal conditions, like Araiza.
