If he fails.....so be it.
But if he learns and grows.....maybe, he comes out of it....as a good QB.
Very well said ... from my purely optimistic perspective, DJ is actually following a normal learning curve progression of a new system ... start slow, look better, take steps backward ... hopefully hit bottom and get on a positive trajectory. Consistency from his receivers and OL would help too.
I was at the practice yesterday and Jones may have held the ball too long on some plays, but there were people in his face right at the snap. Not sure if Wink turned it up to 11 or the Oline had a bad day, but at one point there looked to be about three "sacks" in a row.
Not a Jones fan, and I am on board with moving on from him next year, but I don't know who would have looked good with that much pressure in his face.

I’ve heard completing reports that he let all kinds of traffic through the line and was one of the reasons why Daniel Jones was so bad on Sunday
I’ve read that he struggles at guard, where he played last year; but has looked very good at center. If this continues, maybe Feliciano goes back to guard where he’s mostly been in the past.

Saquon Barkley slipped running a route, came out & had his early reps limited. But he came back in after that and rattled off a big run off the right side.#Giants

Jones appeared to be showing the WRs where he’s placing the ball, was raising his hands above his head to demonstrate, and receiving feedback from the wideouts, as well.

What is depressing is I am certain it is 100 percent accurate.
I have been saying the game is too fast for DJ for two years. I'm sure Daboll would cut him tomorrow if Giants found a way to get Jimmy G. Tyrod is the taller midget. Either way we can't expect much offense or many wins .
Wandale was drafted for his ability to separate but Sy has not seen it....great...
Golladay has Multi Millionaire Disease . The days of him being a very physical WR that wins battles are over...
I guess improved play from OL/DL is what we can be positive about but it won't impact our season much with no QB and very little depth .

I've often wondered over the years why so many players obviously don't protect that area. I did when I played HS ball, it is pretty uncomfortable but better than a direct shot w/ no covering.

Where did Sy say that? Reports about him were glowing early in camp and reporters have been saying that coaches may be trying to keep him hidden now to not reveal scheme.
