Time for the bats to wake up. Scherzer brings a different kind of energy to things. Will be great to get a look at Baty tonight. Probably, the best lineup tonight we've sported all year, even discounting Baty's expectations. Big game! LFGM!
I hate the f--king arrogant Braves. I really want the Mets to win BIG.
ruff? lol
ruff? lol
Eric Chavez? LOL.
Good job from Pete not missing that pitch after struggling all series
Yes, Diaz was AWFUL tonight.
🙄

Let's see how arrogant they are tomorrow against you know who (unless they've already predetermined a rain-out)...

Love his smile. Looks great behind a fastball.

and he hangs a slider on 3-2. Terrible relief pitching for both teams tonight

🙄
Can you be dumber? Obviously talking about Ottavino, who had a similarly terrible pitch

You’re own fucking words.

Says the guy who says analytics are “made up numbers”..
P.S. Eff you Trevor May! lol
😂
Hey look, the passive aggressive dumbass returns. So, you never answered me, but you never do anyway - are you a relative of Alderson or just a friend of the family?
I feel exactly the same way, can't understand why they didn't do more, except maybe they are counting on Magill/Peterson?

The one constant all season and frankly off season. Everyone has assumed all along they were going to make not just one but two moves to shore it up and it just never happened. In the off-season interview - assuming the Mets don’t win a ws - I am going to be fascinated if someone asks and eppler answers wtf happened. As we sit here now it’s just befuddling.

Meanwhile, Robertson has been nails for PHI. The price they paid to get him wasn’t outrageous

Agreed. That was the guy I wanted. I think most, if not all of us wanted him. What do you think it would have cost us though to get him? Mauricio or less?
😂😂😂

Obviously i wasn’t in the room - maybe Shecky can shed some light - but I’d. Guess maurcio would have a been good comp. and i would have done it.

I really wanted Robertson also. I didn't understand how Phillie did so much at the deadline, and we, apparently, not so much.
I'm OK with Vogelbach, Nayquin, and Ruf, but not with Givens as the only B.P. addition.
Damn shame we wasted so much time on Cano and Dom and couldnt just commit to him full time earlier in the year.
Oh well. Id rather have VogelRuf anyway. But glad to see JD do well though.

Yes good for him. Seemed like a good dude

Maybe if Buck - who’s been otherwise terrific - wasn’t so loyal to Escobar- he could have found his groove here. Oh well.

That makes total sense too, lol. JD needed a change of scenery. The Giants were the perfect team for him to go to on multiple levels.

He's been absolutely on fire since the day he got traded. 1000 OPS since he left and he's playing every day and starting at 3B.

Good point
Escobar is the 3B. Trevor May is going to finish the game. I'm screaming at the TV, cursing May, cursing Buck, cursing Sandy, cursing friggin Abner Doubleday for inventing this game.
Buck is impassive, seeing his decision through to its conclusion.
That's one of things that makes him great. But occasionally it can make him seem inflexible, as with his sticking by EScobar. But you have to live with that and most of the time he is right.

Escobar has has 375 AB’s, time to move on
