Nice to hear; I wanted to go to that game, but relatives got box seats to Rutgers home opener so choose that option instead.

Rainy day in Nashville. We are all expecting a heavy dose of Henry today. On the flip side...I am beyond excited to see the Giants run the ball today. We all have noticed, at least a semblance of a rushing attack in the Pre-season.

I am eager to see if The Giants can run the ball when it counts. I want to see Evan Neal pancake someone today. I really am excited to see if Barkley can get back to his 2018 production... Go Big Blue!

Not confident in a win, but confident we'll see a competitive game decided by about 3 points. It's certainly winnable. But, the Giants will need to play some mistake-free ball today to go home 1-0.

and there is a general belief on BBI that Wink Martindale could create a pass rush with college cast-offs.

Slippery fields lend themselves to quick twitchy guys with moves- Give me Barkley, Toney and W.Robinson today for at least one move/juke slip by a defender touchdown.

I can't blame Ben Arthur. We haven't inspired much confidence in recent seasons. Hopefully we can get a W today. Gun to head, I'm not expecting a win, but Week 1s can be unpredictable.

I think the scheme can result in sacks and turnovers, but I think pressure is what disrupts an offense. Without the POTENTIALLY best 2 pass rushers, the Titans may hit on a few big plays and get a couple of easy TDs. If Martindale’s scheme is as good as advertised, the Giants should get a few sacks and turnovers.

If asked to predict a score, I would say Titans 31, Giants 24 would be a good start for the Giants. 31-17 would be a “same old Giants” day.

and this is a tough matchup imo

positions, not just Edge. We'll probably see Love close to LoS anyway today. McKinney might even be given a green light on occasion to blitz. Leo Williams can create pressure, etc. If we can somehow, someway slow down Henry, we just might be capable of keeping it competitive and close. Anything can happen in a close 4th quarter game.

offense to much credit, they have Tannehill as their QB, pressure him and he will make mistakes, Wink is good at creating pass rush with Blitz schemes..

Their WRs are weak, their right tackle is weak..

The defense has talent, Williams and Lawrence are disruptors inside, Mckinnie is an elite Safety, Jackson is a shut down corner..

I've liked this matchup but last night my thoughts turned to we are going to get handled. This is a veteran Titans team at a completely different organizational maturity, and they're at home.

Not having Thibs and Ojulari hurts our chances for an upset. And having Ben Bredeson blocking Simmons is a problem.

Titans 31, Giants 13. They pull away in the 2nd half after they figure out what we're doing.

Stopping Jeffrey Simmons is job 1. Clogging gaps to slow down Henry is 1a. I want to see Dex and Leo at DE and Ellis or Williams at NT. I'd start Ward and Fox at OLB but I assume Ximines gets the nod. Crowd the box and play gap discipline and force Tannehil to beat you. Wink knows this Titans team but I think they are too talented across the board for am upset. Giants fall 30-17.

I would start Ward and Roche today. Only use Ximines on obvious passing downs. If Ximines has to set the edge against Henry the Giants are going to get blown out.

CLE does have one opening day tie in that span, in 2018, 21-21 vs Steelers.

Brown's starting QB that day was . . . Tyrod Taylor. He was 15/40 for 197 yards, with 7 sacks. Did rush 8 times for 77.

Week 3, Taylor was still starting (vs Jets) with Baker Mayfield waiting in the wings. TT was 4/14 for 19 yards gained and 3 sacks when he went out with a concussion. Mayfield came in and led Browns to first victory in 2 years.
