When Barkley had the ball batted out from behind, where was the ball placed down? Where it went out of bounds? Or where the ball was first whacked out?
Where it was whacked out of his hands...
Gracias!
It was where it went OB. The 25. Only comes back to spot of fumble inside two minutes or on fourth down.
In my opinion one really bad mistake. All QBs make them. Let’s not forget he hasn’t played in a real game in a long time and he got the win on the road against a good team in week 1. Very poised on last drive 2 really good fakes for a big 1st down and for a td pass. 2 really good 3rd down passes late in 4th, one wqs dropped. Overall I am fine with Jones performance today. I think he will get better each game.
you lose the turnover battle, have more penalties, lose time of possession, lose the sack differential, go 2/10 on third down conversions, etc...but find a way to in.
Amazing outcome.
What a horrible day for kickers,
Congrats, especially, to Daboll for getting his first win and showing some serious brass balls.
won us the game. He was basically the entire offense.
The running blocking by the OL was very good, but the pass blocking was bad. Jones was under constant pressure, and Simmons abused anyone and everyone on just about every play. I know he's good, but we made him look like Reggie White.
Almost nothing from the WRs. Were KT's snaps limited because of injury?
Jones as usual held the ball too long and didn't see the whole field, although the fumble was on Ezeudu being destroyed by Simmons. Jones's INT in the end zone was absolutely brutal.
Defense played well. No real pressure but we didn't have KT or AO. The contained Henry and got enough stops to give us a chance.
ST was awful.
Daboll post game dance the best regular season postgame celebration

This is really for the coaches to say.
There were at least two missed open receiver plays that fall on Jones. If he hits them, maybe the Giants are never in a position to need 4th Q dramatics and a missed very average distance kick.
You're looking at the result and saying you're fine with it. We'll all take the win. But that was skin of the teeth and between the turnovers and missed plays you can argue that the Giants left more points on the table than Tennessee did.
A career day from barkley, a RB with 160 yards rushing and they barely escaped. You'll know Jones has "made it" when a game like that isn't a nailbiter.

You're being a bit selective.
First downs were equal. Giants held a huge advantage in rushing yards. And 3rd conversions? Titans were 3-of-11.
They were able to move down the field but the pressure defense at the end resulted in the same strategy by offense as if it were prevent, get the ball out quickly to sideline. The defensive upside is that you get there or force a turnover, that didn’t even happen but the offense was still pressured to kick a long fg.
Offense runs through Saquan. OL is significantly better run blocking than pass blocking. I prefer pss heavy but you hbo with efficiency. Spread them out, at least show the potential to pass but feed Barkley.

YOu forgot to mention they outgained the Titans in yards, and held arguably the best back in the league to 82 yards.

WHo doesn't miss wide receivers as a QB?
With that said, yes he still has a ton to improve on. The fumble and the interception that late without pressure can't happen.

Selective? I just named five key game metrics that didn't go our way. And on the road.
Barkley’s Back Baby!!!
Coaches made serious game plan changes at half time to run the football on offense.
Everyone on BBI enjoy this win tonight
Go Giants!!!!

At the start of the game the announcers quoted Daboll as saying we have ot be bale to run the ball and tackle.
Lats year Philly's season turned around when they went run. You cna have success running.
you lose the turnover battle, have more penalties, lose time of possession, lose the sack differential, go 2/10 on third down conversions, etc...but find a way to in.

put down a bet that the Giants would out-rush the Titans 238 to 93?
No but I had a big feeling they would go big on the D Line especially with AO and KT probably sidelined. I figure Ward and Leo as DE in base and nickel. Lots of props go to Wink.

You're being selective because you left out the stats where they had the advantage. A couple by a significant margin.
But you conveniently leaving out stats that don't back your narrative is your MO...

with the two point call whether they got it or not. I thought it sent a nice message to the team.

I said good job Coach, go for the win!
Do you think Tom Coughlin or Judge would have done that?
For this team, this franchise, at this moment, it was 100% the right call.
Don't worry they will be back next week - hoping that we lose.
Because when we win - that threatens their genius football knowledge and puts a hole in their argument of why they should be running the team.

Ball went OB on the 12 yard line mot the 25.
I'm not going to armchair nitpick anything with only 1 data point, just going to sit back and soak it in, it's been a while.
Judge plays not to lose.
We have a new sheriff in town and his name is Daboll
I agree, but there is A LOT more differences than that :)

Maybe TC in the same situation year 1 trying to change the losing mentality/culture but definitely not JJ.
I also felt going for the win was a good call.
Beat a good team on the road. Great comeback.
Barkley ran hard.
Wide Left. Also 47 yards!
what's it been 5 years since an opening game win!
Amazing outcome.
What a horrible day for kickers,

good playcalls late, including the 2 point conversion
Please get Thibs and Azeez back - absolutely zero pass rush, even with the blitzes
Where are all the "Barkley must go" people now??? He won this game
Its one game dude.
But it is great to not start 0 for ? for a change
no, but had barkley over 56 yds rushing. Stealing money.
Not sure what you were trying to do with that post.
That we won despite some key indicators going our way.
No need to read much into it. It was a tremendous win.
Barkley looked better than he had in years. Great win!
Coaches made serious game plan changes at half time to run the football on offense.

Go Giants!!!!
The Int was on him, the fumble was bad luck from a sack that came through to easily.
Toney and Robinson were expected to be big portions of today and we're not. Instead we had Jones and James connecting a lot.
I think Jones can be effective in this offense. It will be good to see when our OL gets more time together..

the Giants only had one more penalty than the Titans.

Complete and utter nonsense. Stop makjng excuses. The fumble is on him.
A running game makes all the difference in the world.
