The
Talkin Giants Carolina game preview is up!
In that video and in their Titan film review, they are saying Golladay is too damn slow and is primarily being using to run 'clear out' routes. Even that is not going well since he's too slow based on the all-22 film they reviewed.
If that's the case, then just put Slayton in. At least Slayton has speed! Hating the Golladay signing more and more with each passing game...
Either way ... I'm not sure what he gives us other than less salary cap space.

At least there is a chance for a big play.

At least Slayton can stretch the field and get open. Contract year. Maybe he will concentrate more on catching the ball.
Golladay gives you nothing, Slayton may give you something.
As the 7th receiver on the depth chart?
He was inactive last week. A healthy scratch.

You’re probably right but I think of all of them Shep has a shot. Seems like the new staff’s kind of player and if he produces and stays healthy (big if on healthy) I can see them wanting him back at the right price.
I think it boils down to rather having a guy that tries and can't catch, then a guy who doesn't try and can't catch.
Either way ... I'm not sure what he gives us other than less salary cap space.
I think his hip injury was far worse than reported; if so, a MASSIVE failure to fully vet it by DG & co.
At least he’ll get open.
Vs.
Golliday has no speed, and;
He can’t get LOS separation, and;
He created a Delay of game by lining up on the wrong side, then dogged it moving to the other side, and;
He cannot in-line or downfield block, and;
He cannot return kickoffs or punts.
Yeah, I’ll take my chances with Slayton any freaking day of the week!
