Anyone going to the first home game? Im down if tickets available. I'm in Florida and was waiting for Jags game but I'm feeling hyped after week 1 win. Lets snowball the season with momentum.
Where did you sit in the Super Bowl ? Because the upper deck is much higher than the original meadowlands stadium. I have been upstairs with people screaming, and while going downstairs could not hear much of them at the same game ... just curious not a call out.
That place has been plenty loud in meaningful games
the Yankees have the same problem. The home field advantage was sold for luxury seats and suites and additional revenue. The fans who lived and died with their teams and made most of the noise have been priced out to where their voices literally and figuratively can't be heard.
Never mind the kids that can’t see the game when you decide to constantly stand durning the game. Big plays? Sure. You can be loud with our stand throughout the game.
When there’s still too many people who get mad when people stand on third down
you don't have to stand to be loud
If people don’t want people to stand up on third down, they should watch the game at home
Okay but the “loud” fans are often unwilling to pay the price of admission. When others decide to stay home they sell the tickets. Fans of the opposing team buys them (because they are willing to pay) and the giants fans watching on Tv complain about seeing so many opposing fans in the seats.
A decade of terrible football and people wonder why the stadium isn’t
For the first time in a long time, fans are feeling good about the team and not just because of the win last week.
Lots of folks on here who can’t wait to tell us they’d rather watch at home are felling like they’re missing out I suspect. I expect to still be hoarse on Monday like the old days.
Since the new stadium was built. 10 years ago, when the team was good, and they were winning games, that stadium was plenty loud. In the last 5 years that place was filled with opposing fans. Become a good team and discourage those fans from attending, Giants fans can be loud with a good product on the field.
The Titans fans felt that last week. Second half Giants fans were loud down in Nashville, we can be loud here too.
Add the fact, that usually half of the club section are inside
At Giants stadium, the seats where much closer from all floors.....much easier to intimidate.
With that, everyone I know who is going....have heard Wink's plea and plan to make NOISE!
I can’t blame fans for not cheering garbage football for the better part of a decade.
Totally agree. Its not the stadium. Its the people sitting in the seats
too old? no...that went out with the new stadium when people had season tickets for generations...too apathetic? probably...
you don't have to stand to be loud

And get rid of the graphic on the big screens of Strahan literally telling people to get up.

All the 3rd downs we all stood and screamed and yelled for rocking the stadium just to have the other team convert.
It's a media creation, like momentum or home field advantage. It doesn't exist other than in perception.
The old Giants stadium magnified the sound and focused it toward the field.
The overhanging mezzanines would echo and amplify the noise.
Fans were closer to the field. not just in field seats but the mezzanines as well.
So the fans will just have to make more noise. Bring cowbells, amplifiers, drums, etc. and drink a lot.

Then why is Wink asking for noise?
The team has not been prepared to start the season during that time. It is like we were still in pre season mode in the opener.

But that is just truth.

It’s the product on the field more than anything else.

Btw, Who was the idiot who designed that stadium?

The Giants are 3-9 in home openers at MetLife Stadium. They have lost their last five home openers.

One could argue most of the time they weren’t prepared at the beginning of the season middle of the season and the end of the season
