I also have a hard time labelling a guy a bust due to injuries before he has a chance to show anything. It is absolutely frustrating with him. I would think his 2 carries on Sunday would have gotten him some more snaps this week. The injury is a setback. But, his interview the other day was all the right things. He seemed to have the right attitude and the reporters kept trying to bait him into a negative comment. He wasn't biting, which is a good sign for everyone.

I had to do was read Sy's draft report on him. So as far as I m concerned he's got no where to go but up. Right now he s in neutral. The engines running but he ain't moving. My expectation is what we see right now is what we get and so far he hasn't done anything stupid we know of off the field.

I don’t believe Toney is really injured. If he was, he’s not a bust strictly speaking. if he refuses to play through some normal nicks, that’s different.

too early to tell. Let's see what happens over at least the first half of the season. On the one hand, he's absolutely electric when he's on the field. On the other, he's rarely on the field, and JonC says the coaches are frustrated with what they perceive as his lack of commitment to football. He's certainly had a rock beginning, some of it his own doing, but I just feel we need to give him more time.

A GM should also hire good coaches - although in the case of the Giants its pretty clear Mara/Tisch are heavily involved.
