Personally I love the Thanksgiving day games and having them play in the background regardless of which family members house was hosting that year.
Although since the Giants @ Cowboys game this year is at 4:30pm, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
I've already told my wife to claim early on to host the family Thanksgiving day dinner this year before any other family members try to do so. Plus I told her to let everyone know that we'll be eating roughly between at 6:00 to 6:30 since that's when halftime should be with a 4:30pm start time.
My wife thinks I'm overreacting but that's why I want to host so that WE can control those meal times because of the Giants game. Plus we own the biggest TV in the family to watch the game on. Am I over reacting? LOL.
What say you BBIers, what are your thoughts and your plans with the Giants playing on Thanksgiving this year?
My whole extended family of 30+ people were huddled in the family room at my cousins house around one of those 70's/80's big console TV's and the whole place went nuts when LT was running that INT back.
I don't remember the whole family ever that jubilant and united since then. In fact, many of them are dead, but great memory and I look forward to them playing on Thanksgiving.
Still remember Taylor's interception happening during dinner though the table was going over.
My grandmother was so pissed off and yelling at everyone in Italian.
My grandfather rolled in the 19" color TV into the dining room and it was probably the overwhelming start of my fandom as an 11 year old.
I’m looking forward to having Buck & Aikman call NYG-DAL next week.
In what sense? Tye concussion stuff? Covid related?
If the GIANTS draw that game once every fifteen years or so, so be it. Otherwise I am against the GIANTS playing on ANY Thursday including Thanksgiving.
EXACTLY !!!! And the damned Cowboys get that advantage every single year. Completely unfair.
With him. Makes it better that it’s the late game and against Dallas
But we eat early too. Plenty of time to eat, play with the kids and then settle down at 4:30 to watch the Giants and get drunk.
Then we still get the giants on Sunday after a full day of games on Thursday.
They're the ones from North Jersey traveling to South Jersey during a Giants game so you can tell how seriously that I take them.

I hate all home games at night. I feel empty on Sunday when the Giants aren't playing.
..but that's just me being selfish.

I don't mind them playing on Turkey Day, man I would love to try some turduckin some day, LOL. I will miss Madden especially on Turkey Day games!
We have the games on every year regardless. It's a hell of a lot better if the Giants are involved.
