That was one of the best coaching performances I’ve seen in awhile, not just Wink..but whole staff. It’s a pretty awesome feeling when you feel like your coaches are outsmarting the guys on the opposing sideline, coaches squeezed every ounce out of those players today. Unbelievable.
You know how? Not going to a stupid prevent defense! That sack was something we haven't seen in a long time. Just keep in mind how many point they gave up at the end of the game last year and compare it to these first two games.
The only sad part about it is I'm afraid Wink is gone after this year if they keep playing like this.
i was kind of luke warm on wink but holy crap is he impressive
Same, I still worry about it against great QBs but I’ve really liked seeing his style so far. The pressure with the game on the line was so nice to see after years of soft D in similar situations.
Great defensive sffort, a few breakdowns but they played well.
I also think the Giants have more talent than some still think. The great thing is they are very young so you still have a lot of upside. One more draft and FA they can move well into upper tier territory.
I get the concern with upper tier QB's and WR's but we also have our two best pass rushers coming back so he can dial back a little on blitzes if need be.
even when he's blitzed (which is understandable with Ojulari and Thibodeaux out), but the gap discipline and the tackling has been remarkable. Even when the secondary gets beat, they're mostly containing the damage.
Wink's getting a lot out of a D filled with (at the moment) mostly JAGs.

Yeah .... it is interesting to see if Wink learned a bit from being let go in Baltimore ... hopefully not to arrogant to think and maybe he see a different perspective. Old dogs that can/will learn new tricks are dangerous.
Yup, seems we haven’t actually blitzed too much, but he dialed up a couple great ones when it counted most
I'm admittedly a PG fan who thought Martindale would struggle with our talent.
I was wrong. All hale Wink. :)

Belton seemed to play well also. D and STs
