I really like that this coaching staff is really developing the rookies on the team. We have seen significant contributions from Neal, Ezedu, Flott, Bellinger, Belton, Davidson, and McFadden this season. With Thibs and Robinson being injured, we haven’t seen much from them.
But I’m happy to see that they are developing their own players. This is something that I didn’t think was being done enough under previous regimes. This team will never be a contender unless they can develop from within and stop focusing on quick fix Free Agents.
Not this early on. We got Thomas starting from the beginning. McKinney was hurt and didn’t play until the end of the season. All the other guys played later on including Holmes, Coughlin, Lemieux, and Crowder.
Probably 2007.

The last time we had this many rookies play significant snaps, let a lone contribute.
Probably 2007.
Which speaking of, Bradshaw doesn’t get enough credit for what he did that year when people talk about that team. Guy was a rookie and had a number of big runs
like everyone im excited to see what Thibs looks like once he gets back but in today's NFL taking any defender over a game changing WR almost requires them to play on a parsons level to justify it. but hey, fingers crossed, that's not completely unrealistic and the camp reports had him as the best player on the defense this summer.
Nice to see the rookies who are healthy taking advantage of opportunities. Eager to have Thibodeaux and Robinson back so we can find out what they bring to the table. Plus McKethan and Beavers next year.
i think it's likely he was the guy they had as their 7th guy if their top 6 were off the board (stingley was presumed as the guy they had off their board who went ahead of them and allowed them to get 2/6).
i also think Neal still would have been picked and it's more Wilson vs. Thibs. had the Texans taken Ekwonu or Neal I think the nyg would have gone OT at #5, and then it would have been either thibs or wilson at #7. clearly they would have likely chosen Thibs over Wilson if both were there and i know it's an instant reaction sight unseen with thibs, but if you told me right now we could swap those 2 id do it. wilson looks special to me.
Now we've got a 4th round pick in Bellinger playing decent football and contributed a huge TD yesterday. Nobody's confusing him with Bavaro or Gronk, but at a glance he seems to acquit himself OK blocking. Hard to tell without benefit of film review, I'm sure he's missed some, but he not only catches the passes he should catch, but he's light years better blocking than Engram too
Tip of the cap to Myarick and Hudson too. Nobody's game planning to stop these guys, but our TE "room" ain't so bad after all. That's some GM/coaching wizardy
This staff of “football coaches” has taught way better than Judge’s “teachers”
I am sure the coaching staff would prefer not to have to rely on rookies to play so much but they are the only option in most cases especially TE, DB, and OL.
