I was a little surprised to see Cor'Dale Flott starting opposite Adore Jackson yesterday. I thought for sure that the veteran Fabian Moreau called up from the practice squad would start and see significant snaps. Especially considering Flott missed some time with injury and was slated to be the slot. It was thought that he would need development before transitioning to the outside.
I was at the game so I didn't have the best vantage point, but it seemed like Flott started, played the majority of the game, and at the surface, it seemed like he played well.
According to the game log, not counting special teams, he played 41 snaps, 71% of the defensive snaps. He was credited with 1 tackle. Moreau only got 17 snaps, 29% of the defensive snaps.
Did anyone focus on Flott? Can anyone provide some background or context from yesterday? As I said, it is hard to focus on individual players from the stands, but it seems like he performed well.
But for a rook making his first start? You could do worse.
Thats weird, I definitely remember two completions for sure. The TD catch, and a sideline pattern on the same drive as the TD. He was then replaced.
Quote:
PFF had him for 3 targets against and 1 reception allowed with a decent coverage grade and bad grade in run d. corners are like OL a quiet game is usually a good thing especially if matched up against a good player.

the TD was on him. he stumbled and Moore broke free.
i remembered another one on him too but maybe it wasn't him?
