Fantasy Football - 20 September

Last night was a total barn burner for my team with J.Allen and S.Diggs stack absolutely destroying my entire league. I was favored with 97 to 96 score going into last night's games with my opponent having D.Cook and me having the QB/WR combo from Buffalo. I ended up with the highest points for the week for the second time in two weeks with a 168 final score (next closest was 140).

As of right now, my team has over-performed with second or even third tier RBs.

QB: J.Allen
RB: AJ.Dillo, D.Montgomery
WR: S.Diggs, J.Waddle
TE: T.Kelce
Flex: D.Henderson
SuperFlex: A.Rodgers

Bench: D.Jones, Z.Wilson (IR), D.Harris, C.Akers, K.Herbert, G.Edwards (IR), T.Boyd, D.Knox

I'm trying to trade away A.Rodgers and other players in a package deal to pick up a top tier RBs, who have not performed well so far; however, my league is onto my strategy after four seasons.

Also, anyone of note to claim off waiver other than Jimmy G? Maybe M.Willis as a flyer?

Oh...I know...I'm trying to make deals at this point, but there's a concerted effort against me, especially since I won the league last season with a monster team that I built through trades and waivers.

And there's not much in FA.

I needed like 24 points from Diggs and the dude got me 40! (high scoring league). So far I'm 2-0, 2-0, and 1-1 in my 3 leagues.
I need a TE

pretty bad but how bad? not sure.

Like you RC, I have the highest score two weeks in a row.

This week I broke 200 points which without context doesn't mean much, but it's a big deal in our league. Once a season, if that, a team breaks 200.

I had Josh Allen, Waddle, St. Brown, Aaron Jones (all over 30 points - Allen and Waddle over 40). And this is all with a zero in my lineup with Okwuegbunam and Jonathan Taylor vastly under performing week 2.

My other league I was down 38 points heading into MNF and my opponent had Dalvin Cook vs my Hurts and Sanders. I wasn't even tracking it until he texted me in the 4th Q all pissed off, lol. Cousins kept turning the ball over. I won by 4 points.

Nice to be 2 - 0 in both leagues, but not a strong 2 - 0 in one.

Anyone targeting a specific player in waivers?
I’m in the same boat

Need a tight end with Schultz hurt but have also had the highest score both weeks by a good margin.

WRS are Brown, Davis, Mike Thomas, Samuel, London so I’ll probably be able to condense them once Brian Robinson is back and I know if I can flex him every week with Mixon and Swift.
I also won last night with Josh Allen & Derrick Henry
GiantBlue : 9/20/2022 10:16 am : link
vs. my opponents Dalvin Cook. Derrick and Dalvin basically washed, but Josh was the difference! 129.5 to 116.5

I am now 2-0 and in first place of my division.

I play the 2nd place team this week.

I have a decision on Josh vs. Lamar Jackson
My RB's are Derrick Henry & Saquon Barkley.
My WR's are Davante Adams and Mike Williams.
Darren Waller is my starting TE.

I flexed AJ Dillon this week, but can go Edmonds, Goedart or Curtis Samuel this week.

So my decision is mainly QB and Flex.

I want to thank all of you for your advice both pre-draft and during the last two weeks. I appreciate you all!
I need to pick up a back up to Justin Herbert just in case

Going to see if I can pick up Garroppolo waiver wire. It’s either him, Matt Ryan or DJ

You have Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson in a one QB (no super flex or 2nd QB line up spot)?

Both are awesome obviously, but that's a poor use of roster resources, since one would be on your bench every week.

How many team league? I'd look to trade one of them.
Diggs did me a solid last night
Andy in Halifax : 9/20/2022 10:32 am : link
My opponent had Allen.. I snuck out with a 1.1 point win in a high scoring affair.

Would be cool if Kyle Pitts starts doing.. anything.
also need a TE

might drop Knox for Irv Smith but might not be able to with my lower waiver priority.

Who else is available? I prefer Thomas, Hurts and Engram to Smith just from a target share perspective
there's a few I'd pick from that are available
UConn4523 : 9/20/2022 10:40 am : link
Thomas, Smith Jr, Conklin, Hurst, Engram, etc. Hursts target share is intriguing, didn't realize he has 15 already.

The easy part of your question relates to Allen. He is a matchup independent start every week, as long as he's playing.

He's likely to finish as QB1 on the season.

Perhaps you can trade Lamar. I would absolutely package Lamar and Henry together and try to get Jonathan Taylor, If the guy who has Taylor has QB problems, sell. Otherwise I'd still try to package Lamar for a strong RB.

I love Dillon, but I don't love him as much this week. I'm probably still playing him in my flex, but I'm not mad at you if you start Curtis Samuel there, particularly in PPR formats.
Pick up of the week has to be Garrett Wilson
allstarjim : 9/20/2022 12:00 pm : link
Right? Insane 14 targets on a fairly limited snap share that really has to grow after his 8-catch, 102 yard, 2 TD performance. He was my favorite receiver in this draft for his ability to separate.

In my pre-draft study, I often compared him to Stefon Diggs.

This is the last call to get his services. I have Elijah Moore in one league, who I love, but I think I have to drop him for Wilson.

I think Tua is a guy that needs to be claimed if he's out there. He's not going to pass for 6 TDs every week, but this offense is about getting the ball into Hill's and Waddle's hands.

I'm debating what to do in a league where Tua is available and Matt Stafford is my QB2.

Hate to carry 3 QBs so I'd be looking to move Stafford, or maybe even Joe Burrow,y QB1, and play matchups with the other two.

In that league, 12-team .5 PPR, I own Place and Garrett Wilson on my bench, and they both enjoyed productive days with a good number of targets. Looks like a good problem to have.

I'm 2-0 in that league. In my biggest money league, I'm also 2-0 despite poor fantasy performances from Jonathan Taylor and Saquon.

I'm 0-1 (but a strong roster), 0-2 (rebuild year in a keeper), and 1-1 (no money bragging rights league) in my other leagues. So far, pretty happy with how this fantasy season is going.

Not Place, lol.
Tua
pjcas18 : 9/20/2022 12:10 pm : link
and Wilson are both rostered in my league.

the best waiver options for me are:

WR's
Noah Brown
Sterling Shepard
Cole Beasley

TE's
Irv Smith
Evan Engram (but I don't think I could torture myself with Engram as my TE in FF)
Hurst

I need a TE, so I may drop Okwuegbunam for one of the TE's but it kind of gives me a rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic kind of feel. but my team is 2 - 0 so I can't complain about one position.

I think Hurst is the guy.

Or you can buy low on our boy Bellinger who just scored his first TD! Lol, congrats to Daniel Bellinger. And yes, I'm joking.
Any intriguing players to claim on waivers?
RC in MD : 9/20/2022 8:39 pm : link
Since mine is a SuperFlex league where QBs are overvalued, any potential starting QBs on decent teams are low density, high demand. This week, it's Jimmy G with T.Lance being out for the season. The manager who had T.Lance has only T.Lawrence on his roster, so he's going to drop a hefty sum on Jimmy G. And others will try to pick him up as trade bait.

(and everywhere) were down on Amon-Ra St. Brown. I'm a believer. Who knows what happens when Jameson is active, but for now I'm enjoying the ride. I didn't keep him in my keeper league and I regret that somewhat, but I kept Waddle and Taylor, so I was a little aggressive in my draft, but I have no regrets (so far, lol)

Anyway, to the point ARSB is on an incredible roll.
