Fantasy Football: 21 September

RC in MD : 9/21/2022 10:03 am
Just starting our daily fantasy football thread.

Despite being #1 in my league and having scored the most points for the first two weeks, I am lacking in RBs and WRs.

I put in a trade offer to send D.Harris for T.Higgins to one team and D.Harris for D.Hopkins to another.

My WR is currently only S.Diggs, J.Waddle, and T.Boyd, so I need the help.
And by the way...
RC in MD : 9/21/2022 10:08 am : link
The manager that just lost T.Lance put down his entire FAAB (100) to pick up Jimmy G as we all predicted in our league. In our SuperFlex league, his only other QB on his roster was T.Lawrence, and there were no starting QBs available in FA.

He most likely pulled the trigger for three reasons:
1) We can reload 50 FAAB once your budget hits 10 or lower. You can do this twice at the cost of $10 for the first reload and $20 for the second reload.
2) This manager has been stingy about trading any of his players for QBs.
3) We use Sleeper.com, and you can include FAAB as part of your trades.

Another manager put down 70 FAAB. That manager was also hurting for quality QB.

How do you come out of the draft without a 3rd QB in a Superflex league? Seems like this guy is either in over his head or has never been in a Superflex before. I need more owners like him in my leagues

Oh...I agree. He's currently 0-2 and barely broke 100 points this week. He played in our SuperFlex league last season, so he should know better.

He went RB focus in his draft by getting D.Henry, N.Harris, and J.Williams with 3 of this top 4 picks. He selected T.Lance in the 3rd round and T.Lawrence in the 6th round.
Would you offer Montgomery and Burks for D Adams

While I like Montgomery's use and think that Burks will continue to get increased targets, Adams is going to be a monster in that offense. Not sure he'll take your offer though.

I don’t see that owner agreeing to that trade. He would lose his #1WR and doesn’t really have anything strong behind it. Can’t hurt to propose as that would be a great trade for you, but I think you might have to up your WR to Diontae Johnson at least. Would still offer that if I was you.

I need to determine my flex this week, full PPR. Currently in 1st place but tough matchup for my team this week. Who would you pick b/w DK and London? Feel if DK is going to go off it will be against Atlanta, London has just been dominant to start though, but maybe this is the week they get Pitts involved?
Hard to sit DK
superspynyg : 9/21/2022 11:22 am : link
But until that offense picks up London might be the play in a ppr.
I was able to pick up Garrett Wilson and Nelson Agholor.
robbieballs2003 : 9/21/2022 12:57 pm : link
It is a 12 team, PPR, 1 player keeper league where we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FL, 1 K, 1 D. I am really liking my team now.

Mahomes
Dak

Mixon
Montgomery
Pierce
Herbert
Pacheco

Lamb
Waddle
Bateman
Cooper
Wilson
Agholor

Everett
Tonyan

Gano

Bills
I like it Robbie are you off to a good start?

my team is very top heavy. I wonder if i can upgrade my bench (via trade) or just be patient and wait it out

I had no 5th - 7th round picks b/c it's a keeper league and we can trade picks. So I have no drafted RB3 or WR3.

Lineup:

QB: Allen, Lawrence
RB: J. Taylor, A. Jones, K. Gainwell, R. White, K. Herbert
WR: Waddle, St. Brown, Dotson, Doubs, Toney, Pickens
TE: Okwuegbunam

Our line up is similar to yours but we have two flex instead of 3 wide receivers.

We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FL, FL, D, K

Wondering about long-term season of this team
US1 Giants : 9/21/2022 2:06 pm : link
12 team Non-PPR with a Flex. Is this a playoff team?

Started the season 2-0 against weaker teams. There are not a lot of trades in this office league. Figure that my best chance for a trade is during a bye week with a WR needy team.

I have concerns with the depth at RB. WR seems to have a lot of #3 WR but only Evans (suspended) as a #1 or #2.

QB: L.Jackson, D.Watson
RB: McCaffrey, AJ Dillon, K.Walker, C.Edmonds, N.Hines
WR: M.Evans, B.Cooks, D.London, G.Wilson, C.Samuel, A.Robinson
TE: T.Kelce
DST: Saints
PK: G.Joseph

Hoping that Walker will become a viable starter.

This week, with Evans out, I am planning to start B.Cooks, D.London, C.Samuel at WR, WR, and Flex.

Watson was available at the end of the draft and took him for a playoff push in the later weeks. Good or bad move?

I am 1-1 in my league. I have scored the most points and Yahoo said I would be 20-2 had I played every team the first two weeks. Of course, the team I played week 1 had 8 picks in the first 3 rounds because we can trade future picks like your league. It puts the rest of us at a huge disadvantage but I had a great draft so I just have to ride it out. I finished 2nd last year and didn't trade any future picks. Some teams had many extra picks. The team I lost to, one of his trades last year was trading Josh Jacobs for a first round pick. Unreal. I'm not bitching. I like it. Good for him. But the teams trading their future picks are really feeling it this year so hopefully they learned.

I like your team a lot but I get what you are saying about depth. Just play waivers/FAB. The bottom of your roster will be turning over a lot. Just keep at it.
I would trade my picks
pjcas18 : 9/21/2022 2:47 pm : link
again in a heartbeat since it's basically helping win a championship. However, new this year is we cannot trade any pick before the 4th round. I didn't anyway, I made three trades of my 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks. And I got back 10th round picks in each case, so not like I dropped too much anyway.

But the teams in my league who accumulated picks are not off to great starts. We had one guy with 5 picks in the first two rounds D'Andre Swift, Joe Mixon, Kyle Pitts, AJ Brown and Brandin Cooks. It's a keeper league, so somewhat skewed but you see my point. That team is 0 - 2. His keepers were Tee Higgins (4th) and Cam Akers (8th)
The team I lost to week 1 with 8 picks in the first 3 rounds...

Kelce is the killer there. The guy I posted about above had the chance to get Kelce, but chose Pitts. So far that looks like a dagger decision.

Even the team you posted - 8 picks in three rounds I expect to be better.

We have a max of 3 picks traded per team, so the most we could have would be 6 picks in the first three rounds.

His team is top heavy. He has a bunch if rookies as potential keepers. He's gonna be tough to beat if his guys stay healthy but not impossible.
That was a main reason I was very excited to get G. Wilson.

I am 5 deep at WR with Agholor and Williams as 6 and 7.

The one thing running through my head is Burkhead. I have Pierce. I hate handcuffs but I think it makes sense to me. If Pierce gets banged up then I know I still have a starter at RB. I have Montgomery and Herbert (potential keeper next year if Montgomery moves on). I would drop Agholor to pick up Burkhead.
