Amazon’s first broadcast of “Thursday Night Football” attracted a record number of new Prime signups over a three-hour period, more than during similar periods on Prime Day or other big shopping days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, an executive said in a memo viewed by CNBC. |
The actual viewership numbers haven't been announced yet, but the article says they "exceeded all of our expectations for viewership.”
I was skeptical that adding live sports to Prime Video would create more Amazon customers, because isn't everyone already a Prime Member? I guess I was wrong.

Season ticket holders get that for free BTW.
I was already a Prime member so it doesn’t affect me really but if people want to watch the games they are going to pay for the service but that doesn’t mean they have to be happy about it and aren’t allowed to express their frustration.
I agree 100%
More dick-rockets for Bezos.
