A friend of mine recently purchased the board game, brining back memories of playing it in our teenage years.
Who else here played/still plays it? For someone who collected baseball cards, those Strat cards were the next best thing!
Also, they have had for some time now a PC version of the game which I have seen on various YouTube channels and it looks pretty neat with a host of options.
Do any of you play any other baseball simulation games....it seems there are a lot to choose from in the market.

I played online a lot about 15 yrs ago. Primarily the 80s myatery card game. Had one the highest win pcts
I never did play APBA, but I did have a Sports Illustrated game called "Extra Innings" which was the same idea - player cards (smaller) but I do remember the game having a lot more options and random stuff that could happen.
Speaking of SI, Paydirt was my go-to football game........
Also played APBA both football and baseball.
They are all a lot of fun. Unfortunately, of the 3 of us who were steady players, one has passed and the other is in a long term care facility. Life moves on.
Hope you all roll plenty of 2's and 12's and for you APBA players 11's and 66's.
We played a lot of strato football though. He had binders of seasons for that. I loved playing as a kid.
Aloha GD, hope you’ve been well. I’ve still been playing SOM online…had a run of 3 straight mystery league championship seasons this spring, started to think I might have figured it all out…then got destroyed in a 100 loss season the next time. Have to admit a little luck is always involved:)

I said Extra Innings.
It was actually called Statis Pro Baseball.

When they came out with the "advanced" game with the lefty/righty pitcher and batter cards, it was the best thing ever.
I can still hear those dice rattling across the carboard game board.
2-8. 2-9. 2-10 2-11 2-12. Gone
Played it in the 60s. Later my son and I played.
