to the woke mob... if everyone is going to be judged by their worst moment(s) then we are all screwed

Commission a year long investigation on any person in the world with 300 witnesses and 80,000 documents and you are going to find a few objectional things on everyone

You can do 1 million things right and 1 thing wrong and then your life is defined by the one wrong thing. That is a terrible way to live life and a terrible society to live in.
Come on Domer

This is hardly one misstep in an exemplary life we are talking about here. There is a well documented long running pattern of really shitty behavior here. I would worry about a society that was willing to avert their eyes from this, not one that wants him punished for it.

He's going to sell the team for a profit that will measure in the hundreds of millions of dollars, along with all the perks and profit of ownership over the 18 years that he owned the team. I think we can reserve our pity for someone else.

Unless you just wanted an excuse to make a "woke mob" reference and do your best Tucker Carlson impression for a minute.

And those Forbes valuations have been coming in well below actual sale prices.

It's a real miracle anyone even gets to own a sports team anymore with the woke mob and all their investigation witch hunts. The two owners that actually had to sell because of their behavior, it couldn't be the fact that they have culpability could it?

I mean jesus look at Dolan, you don't think everyone and their mother in NY would love to expose him for something?

What a bad take.

DomerGiant2008 : 9/21/2022 3:26 pm : link
a "fixer lawyer" ... I know how these investigations go

For the right price, you can get any result you want, you can buy the type of testimony you want from witnesses.

I rarely trust a single thing that comes out of some investigation like this. Who cares how many millions he profits? The point is he is being forced to do something he otherwise doesn't want to do because the mob decided.

Notice how there haven't been any real details that have come out ... just vague general allegations. He said inappropriate things to women ... okay ...what did he say? who did he say them to? when did he say them? how many time did he say them? how did the person react when he said them?

We are living in a world where an allegation is just as good as a conviction. I am just not on board with ruining peoples lives. Like I said, I was briefly a fixer lawyer being groomed to be the kind of person that would run an "investigation" like this ... instead I decided to quit my legal career. Once you peel back the curtain and see it from the other side, you'll be shocked at how these things work.

Right, but he doesn't have 100% ownership, so I'm just talking about the windfall he'll achieve from his share alone. He owns a little more than a third of the organization, so his portion is worth a little over $600k by that valuation. Thus, his profit will be in the hundreds of millions.

We should all be so lucky as to get punished as harshly as Sarver.

"The mob" lmao

"The mob" you're talking about is the "general public/consumers of the product" and their ability to make an impact in situations like this is literally one of the defining pillars of our country. This is a fantastic news story that shows that the regular joe has power.

What a sad life, believing the "woke mob" is creeping around every corner, just waiting to pounce on you.

PayPal, their uniform sponsor, threatened to cut ties if he stayed the owner. Sounds like capitalism to me - money talks!

After the loss, Suns majority owner Robert Sarver entered the coaches locker room, Watson told ESPN.

"You know, why does Draymond Green get to run up the court and say [N-word]," Sarver, who is white, allegedly said, repeating the N-word several times in a row.

"You can't say that," Watson, who is Black and Hispanic, told Sarver.

"Why?" Sarver replied. "Draymond Green says [N-word]."

"You can't f---ing say that," Watson said again.

You can read the entire report

Him physically touching employees and or exposing is alone grounds for him being forced out.

The report shows more of a frat boy mentality that never went away. It is clear he liked pushing buttons, primarily with females

Read the report and as a husband and father of a daughter and tell me why he should keep ownership.

He has done a lot of positives as you read it but that can’t overshadow some of his behavior. He is part of the leadership and should be above this

If there is any positive it is that he does not seem be racist. A jerk, absolutely

It’s not giving in to the woke mob. It’s the fact you aren’t recovering your good name so sell the damn team and move on.

It’s not really about the “woke mob” in this instance. You’re rep is tarnished. Whether true or not doesn’t matter. Court of public opinion has delivered its verdict. Take your hundreds of millions and go bang a million hot chicks and count your money on a beach.
I still to this day wonder why a "real racist" ....

would buy a basketball team?

It is probably more complicated.

If he can afford a professional sports franchise ... he probably is smart enough to invest his money elsewhere and make the same amount of money ... yet, he bought a basketball team?

I am not condoning his actions/language whatever ... I just don't get it.

Storing might not be the right language. Investment is more appropriate. But to the other posters point, if you are a rich racist and you’re buying this to safely invest your money where it will continually grow and you also draw a hefty salary from it, why bother getting involved in the minutia. Strange he would get invested to the pint he’s down in the locker room wondering about a player dropping expletives during play.

I mean if you are just investing and are racist or prejudice or whatever, just buy the team and stay out of the way. Sign checks and bring chicks to the owners suite and bang them or some shit. Just don’t get the giving a fuck part of this All.

Then again, I’m not inside this dudes head. But it is odd to say the least.
