The Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons are in serious talks on a trade sending Bojan Bogdanovic for Kelly Olynyk and additional salary, sources tell me and
@JLEdwardsIII
want Bogdanovic if they were going to give up Russ and picks for a package from Utah?
Maybe this is being leaked to try to get the Lakers to give up unprotected picks. Cause why the hell would Utah want Kelly Olynck.

The Detroit Pistons are finalizing a trade to acquire Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee, sources tell ESPN.
I don't get the Ainge hatred. He"s doing the best for his team. He got pretty good haul for Mitchell and from what I've read, it was probably the best offer he got.

The Jazz received offers including late first round picks for Bogdanovic, but those deals involved longer-term salaries.

If he wanted to do what's best for his team, he would've taken that Barrett/Robinson package, which blew the Cavaliers' package out fo the water.
that the Knicks offered. Knicks would be giving up RJ, their best player, Quickley who's on a rookie deal, and some other salary and 2 unprotected picks and swaps.
That still beats the Cavs package in my estimation because you're essentially sending Mitchell to a team without anywhere near as much talent as the Cavs. And the Cavs have a much better young core than the Knicks.
Just because they're unprotected doesn't mean anything.
with the Knicks he would have ended up with a much better package. At least a few of those Cavs picks are going to be 25 or worse. Sexton is a good player coming off a major knee injury. He could have gotten better picks and young cost controlled talent from the Knicks.
Utah didn't want to send Mitchell where he wanted to go. But none of that makes sense to me since Utah was in an obvious tear down. To be honest, very little of how this went down makes sense. Putting players aside, I think most GMs would want 3 unprotected picks from NY (which apparently was offered in different combinations) vs. 3 unprotected picks from what looks to be a very good Cavs team doing forward. In fact, you can make the argument 2 unproteted from NY would be more attractive than 3 from the Cavs.

This is a good point.
