Attacking the defense

Giants73 : 9/23/2022 9:22 am
Not sure if it’s Jones or the game planning. But this team does not attack the defense with boom or bust plays. Would like to see more of a gunslinger mentality with Jones as he had his rookie season.

Appears he is still gun shy, not sure if it is embedded with him after two years of Judge. But Daboll, needs to get the offense to be a bit more risky. Can’t leave Wink holding the bag every week.

They need more big plays from the pass game. Two fold problem. Giants are not getting consistent rushing yards opening up PA (they are getting total) and the WR's group right now does not have great deep threat options. Maybe Slayton can find a role here.

They need to do a better job of establishing the running game in the first half. I feel like there has been way too much playaction early in the game and it lacks effectivity because they aren't running the ball, or running it well.
not gonna happen

Daniel Jones is doing better at limiting turnovers but you want him to make more throws likely to result in INTs?

Daniel Jones as a game manager who can lead long drives, even if they end in Field goals, + a kick ass defense is the best path to victory for this team.

Don't get greedy.
We continue to have an OL that hasn’t pass protected well

And a WR corps who have no deep threat and struggle to get open. Not a great combination for attacking deep.
I think the O will improve with time

these guys are still learning a new offense. Shep said the WRs are still learning and 2-3 of the WRs missed a lot of camp. The OL has 4 new starters, a rookie RT, a rookie TE and part time playing rookie LG. Hopefully with time, Jones will develop more trust in his receivers (to be where they're supposed to be) and maybe himself (to let it rip).

Depending on health, I think our offense will be quite a lot better 6-8 weeks from now.
Don't get crazy

Double team Persons and run at him all game.
He is a speed rusher and you can get him off his game if you push on him.
Grind it out and leave the Cowboys defense on the field.
Quick throws and get positive yards, don't play into the Cowboys hands and make Jones hold the ball

You hit the nail right on the head..Parsons plays all along the D line..When he comes after the QB,that leaves a opening our RB can get through..After a few good running plays through his hole that he leaves,he will be hesitant to charge our O line..
It’s Jones

He doesn’t keep his eyes downfield long enough, when he feels pressure his eyes go to his feet.

Dan Orlovsky broke this down the other day
Would have had
