Agreed. Ever since being completely done with stupid ass school, I've never been more happy to see September come. When I was younger, I was glad football was starting up but it was a bitter reality because I'd have to waste my days away in school. Nope. No more of that.
Summer is just way too hot and boring as an adult. Also a lot more work. Be gone.
Down here you can actually open the windows and enjoy the fresh air without pollen or heat. Love this time of year granted it was 97 yesterday and 25 degrees cooler today.
Allergies disappear, nice, cool air. The scenery once the leaves change color. Of course, football, Halloween. Thanksgiving. Best time of the year, easily.
when we get a few nights around 60 in New England and then you can turn off the AC, plus the return of football, till the end of the NFL playoffs and having college basketball going is the best time of year. You get the foliage, country fairs, Thanksgiving and Holiday seasons. Always something to do and no humidity.
Today was awesome. It was in the low 60's all day. Nothing better than some crisp, cool air.
I actually love Summer stuff, but once September rolls around, I'm just done with it and ready for the change. It's football weather.
Summer stuff used to be fun shit like water slides, playing outside, boardwalk and concerts. Now, it's just increased work hours and having to mow the lawn (what feels like) every 6 hours.
Plus the humidity can just be unbearable to deal with sometimes. I know it was humid when I was a kid too but it just punches differently for me as an older gent.
