Toney's been chasing that performance in Dallas ever since, and the further we get from that game, the more you have to treat it as an outlier.
Questionable:
DT Quinton Bohanna (Neck)
WR Michael Gallup (Knee)
LB Micah Parsons (Illness)
TE Dalton Schultz (Knee)
Out:
S Jayron Kearse (Knee)
G Connor McGovern (Ankle)
QB Dak Prescott (Right Thumb)

And at some point you have to stop chasing after the outlier
Giatns need to sign him to the roster now. Let go of phillips perhaps.
What I would do:
IR Layne and McCloud (already out for Monday, would be three additional games)
Sign S Tony Jefferson and CB Fabian Moreau to the 53.
PS elevation: Jaylon Smith, Henry Mondeaux

Good ideas, Or maybe Ryder Anderson?
Hopefully Leo is good to go in a few weeks.

I would not expect too much right off of the bat... both of these guys missed most of the summer. Remember, they were hurt before they got hurt again.

How is Schultz questionable? Doesn’t he have the same injury that Thibs has?

Kadarius Toney vs. Dallas Oct.10, 2021:
13 targets, 10 receptions, 189 yards, 0 TDs in a blowout loss.
Richie James vs. Green Bay Nov.5, 2020:
13 targets, 9 receptions, 184 yards, 1 TD in a blowout loss.
Marcus Johnson sits on the practice squad with three times as many career 100-yard games as Toney.
I'm not writing Toney off yet, though. One more weapon would give a tremendous boost to this offense, and Toney is one of the few players who could conceivably be that guy.

Really excited to see this defense with some elite pass rushers. Defense has already been good but could be about to get fun.

I’m expecting Azeez to make an impact pretty quickly. I bet he’s limited to 25% of snaps or so but enough to make a big play or two.
I thought the same. Hopefully means he's not too far away.

Chasing outliers is like a Giants fan modus operandi.
At least next year he will be healthy and maybe someone will give us a 6th round pick for him.
Plus he was wide open quite a bit last week.
there. 2022 style. Grammatically wrong, but still gaining use.
Guys like Stephen Baker, Mark Ingram, Hakeem Nicks, David Tyree, Mario Manningham have made the big plays and been out of football two years later.
What the passing game needs is a pocket for the QB that lasts four or five seconds.
It's 2022 can we cut the shit?
Suggest you take your own advice...cut the shit.
answer: almost always.
Toney doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt because he’s gone out of his way to show us how football isn’t the priority in his life. this is what happens.

LOL! elite QBs in this league get the ball out between 2 and 3 seconds.
sounds like you want to build the Great Wall of China to give Daniel Jones extra special protection? how about - find an elite QB instead?
Agree

he played through a hamstring injury last week. It has to be sore as hell this week. He tried to practice on it, but couldn't go. To me, that is NOT someone who is dogging it. Now, if you want to talk about him being always hurt, that's a different kettle of fish.
Agree
I think the challenge here is that he practiced this week until Thursday and then missed the walk through. Maybe his hammy is giving him trouble; you have to wonder if he chose not to practice because he discovered that he wasn't going to be a big part of the game plan this week. We know that KG was told mid-week that he wouldn't be starting last week, maybe KT was told something similar and decided to milk the injury for the week.
Who the hell knows what the truth is, we all see unbelievable potential when he's involved but it is becoming tougher to defend Toney these days. Too many odd situations and not enough production.

Can we knock off the overt sexism? She means he's a girl and girls are inherently weak. It's 2022 can we cut the shit?

Nicks and Cruz didn't have long careers (due to injuries), but they were both stars in 2011. Nicks was a 1st rd pick. Cruz was a great UDFA find, kind of an anomaly.
We need good pass pro AND a couple decent receivers. Look at Josh Allen and the Bills, before and after Diggs.
It's not 1986 anymore (and that team had Bavaro).
