I watched XXI live, but was so young that it didn't really stick.

At the beginning of the pandemic-when there was nothing going on-I watched Giants-Broncos XXI again. Banks was UFB. He was all over the place. I know Simms got the MVP & deservedly so, but Banks was the MVP of the defense that game.

But how they didn’t have any Banks highlights from the 49-3 whipping of the 49ers in the playoff game boggles my mind. John Madden was raving about how Banks shut down the 49ers running and short passing game. An epic miss IMHO.
Funny, but Banks two big years were the first Super Bowl in 86 and the

strike year the next year. After that he was never the same dominant player. I think someone told me it was due to an injury.
