And hopefully for true signs our rebuilding is finally heading down the right path.
Think of it this way, we win and we are one of three without a loss. Every win for this organization is a bigger win for the culture of the organization than any other change we have tried over the last 5 years.
I think we see Toney go to IR, a WR brought off PS and we stop watching week to week for the next 4 weeks...
needs to have a really good game. But let’s not put it all on him. Line needs to play well and the receivers need to get separation and make big plays.
I see a lOT of very average to below average QB play.
Cousins was pretty average until the very end.
Goff is Goff.
Mariotta made some really nice plays and then some major bonehead plays.
Geno Smith is very average.
Jimmy G was pathetic against the Broncos
Winston is not good.
What we need is for Jones and the team to keep developing, keep turnovers down and find ways to extend drives.
The Giants were a couple of penalties and dropped passes from putting Carolina away in the 1st quarter last week. Time to see those things cleared up and see drives extended and points scored.
and the offense will struggle as usual. No more excuses. We need to score TD's in the red zone. Don't wanna lose another 17-9 snoozer. DJ has to be better than Cooper Rush. Is that too much to ask ?

Jalen Hurts (3-0)

305 Passing Yards per Game

pretty horrid. Can they do any better tonight? If not, they better have a strong run game, or else.
Lets not forget our QB sacks himself a lot. Holds the ball . Makes everybody look bad. OL and WR . OL would look much better if ball came out on time .

I hear ya, save for one thing. This offensive line isn't exactly giving Daniel Jones the opportunity to hold the ball for too long. I've seen very few clean pockets through the first 2 games.

Yeah, I would still say both the Bills and Dolphins are better than Philly. Philly has done well but they beat Detroit who gives up points top everybody, Minnesota who seems all kinds of out of sorts and Washington who should be 0-3 right now.

into the Giants are a playoff team mentality. This game means little in the big scheme of things. Dallas is a good team defensively with potentially a great pass rush. Giants can win this game...but I do not expect a thing of beauty.
In practice this week, there was alot of brain thrusts
looking for any or all ways to slow down Parsons..
The Kowboys have other pass rushers that are good, but no one else comes close to a LT type player..We need to score 24 pts to win this game..Whether it's 3 TD's
and 1 FG or 8 FG'S..When you think about it,8 FG's means you have had the ball the most, and the Kowboys
haven't had the ball a whole lot..A win is a win,no matter how ugly or pretty...

I think the Giants offense is not going to look good against good defensive teams - I don't see how they could given the dearth of offensive weapons and the current state of the oline.
I see the Giants as a work in progress.
It's been wonderful having them win. I do think they can win tonite, but I am not under any illusions about them. I certainly think our coaching staff has been terrific in getting the best out of them, particularly on defense.

I hate this argument. Hurts has arguably the best OL in football, two number 1 WR talents, a top 5 TE, and an excellent stable of backs. Just because a dude is putting up stats in that environment doesn’t mean he’s QBing better than anyone in the NFC. Heard the same arguments with Dak. What happens when they played elite defenses of the NFL or needed to win shootouts? Fell short practically everytime or Dak would look terrible. The Eagles are that good so there’s only gonna be really a handful of regular season games to judge and the playoffs. Let’s see him be best the QBer then. You seriously think he’s QBing better than Rodgers right now? For real? Rodgers puts up 45 against that awful WFT defense with the Eagles O.
offense to pull it out in the end. This seems to be the gameplan for this team, which I am fine with. Crowd will be on fire tonight, Cowboy fans or no Cowboy fans. Worth it feeling like garbage at work tomorrow.
into the Giants are a playoff team mentality. This game means little in the big scheme of things. Dallas is a good team defensively with potentially a great pass rush. Giants can win this game...but I do not expect a thing of beauty.
That is categorically false. In the grand scheme of things it means a lot. Culture change has to come with winning games too. Yes, we have a ways to go but, when you have a game, a bigger game and you are at home facing a backup QB, you need to make a statement that says the days of falling short and losing when winning was more than possible are now over.
Yes I'd like to see more passing yards per game, but some of that is situational and some of that is because of a Barkley centric gameplan. He has 70%+ in completions, he's only got 1 Int, he has a good passer rating, and he has made some big plays when he has had too. The game plan is be smart, make good decisions, limit turnovers, and control the ball/TOP
They also have assloads of extra first round and day 2 draft picks coming up. Philly is going to be a major problem for the next 5+ years.
The team is stacked and Roseman is doing exactly what he did with their first super bowl win as he hit lotto with Hurts who was really just originally supposed to be insurance for Wentz injury proneness. It’s why he made the trade for the corner and signed Bradberry. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he flips an early pick or two for a proven player in the off-season IF they like what they see when he’s playing the teams on their talent level. Right now scouting Hurts is like scouting the QBs at OSU or Bama. You only gonna get a few times to really scout what they can do on a neutral field.
but for me, it's more about how we play than the score. I'm not sure what an 'ugly win' would tell us, whereas a loss where we played well, Jones looked good etc might tell us more.
hoping the one on the field has great success, but the one in the upper sky box needs to look sad and pissed off, with one of his subjects cleaning his glasses.....
Jimmy Johnson has been saying it for a couple weeks now. They are very talented and deep on the lines. Amazing that four very good contributors go all the way back (Kelce, Johnson, Cox, Graham)....all before Roseman. SB team? Let's see how they handle injuries and Hurts (whose been outstanding) handle things when they face teams better equipped to match them physically.
This is the game that may allow the Giants to crawl out of the muck….
of disappointing football they’ve been wallowing in for years. Monday night has traditionally been a house of horrors for the Giants. A win tonight could exorcise some demons on the national stage. I’m not saying a win tonight would deliver us from mediocrity the rest of this season, but it would be a good jumping off point toward regaining respectability.
Jason Peters activated for tonight's game and Parsons
Is going to have to figure into the offense with how thin they are at WR. Maybe he pulls his head out of his backside and contributes. They are going to need it.
into the Giants are a playoff team mentality. This game means little in the big scheme of things. Dallas is a good team defensively with potentially a great pass rush. Giants can win this game...but I do not expect a thing of beauty.

How would the loss of THIS game mean anything to a rebuilding team in the 'grand scheme of things'? Are we negating the first two wins? Firing the head coach? Will any players future be determined by what happens this evening (outside of injury) Is anyone really under the illusion that this team goes 6-0 in the division this year? Are DJ's critics going declare him the Giants Savior if he plays great and they win?
It's an important game in that it is a divisional game against Dallas. We will feel a little better after a win than we usually do...and it will hurt a little more if they lose.
Who's going to play QB on that team who's anywhere
near the running ability of Hurts? That's what makes him dangerous..If he gets hurt, and with all that running around he does, the Eagles will get their wings clipped..By the way,if they keep winning alot more games, they will be drafting way down the bottom of the 1st round..They still will be getting vg players but not as good as the top 10/12 players in the draft..

Interesting to see what Wink has in store and what Dan Quinn may do on other side to try and get some turnovers.

Jerry Jones literally being a vampire wouldn't surprise me
Correct but this is known by the opponents too. Carolina’s linebackers were playing about 2 yards off the LOS, if that.
You almost have to run some PA early on to try and loosen that up.
I've heard that more than a few times and yet team in the NFC East has won back to back division titles in how long?
