Thinking about 1986 when (if I recall correctly) the Mets beat Red Sox in game 7 and the Giants beat the Redskins on MNF on the same day (and overlapping times I believe).
We’re not playoff ready and have a lot of questions to answer. Despite that, if we came out and stomped Dallas tonight, Dak ior not, it would certainly be a great way for Schoen and Daboll to tell Giants fans “we’re the right guys”.
The Bills were trailing by 2, needed a field goal, less than 20 seconds on the clock with no timeouts. Bills & Josh Allen keep throwing underneath over the middle, short of the needed yardage. Even if they complete the pass, they're throwing to a part of the field where they'll have a hard time getting out of bounds or spiking the ball to stop the clock. Is that a dumb QB? Terrible play calling? I'm guessing the Dolphins were guarding the sidelines and the deep middle, leaving the Bills nowhere to go with the ball other than middle underneath. Bills lose by 2.
Trailing by 8, the Bucs needed a TD and a 2-point conversion to tie. Tom Brady barely avoids a delay of game on the TD play, then has a delay of game on the conversation attempt. The TV analyst said he thought they'd walk in on the original attempt. The second attempt is incomplete, Bucs lose by 2.
Obviously, Allen and Brady have earned the benefit of the doubt, and DJ absolutely has not. But what would posts on this Forum say if either of those things happened to the Giants tonight?
My 2 cents' worth: I don't think everything is attributable to the QB. Sometimes the QB has only bad alternatives, and sometimes the D just makes a play. But some things are attributable to the QB. That's where we need to see DJ improve.
VERY disappointed but not very surprised that Toney is inactive.
I've been willing to cut the kid some slack but he really, really needs to get on the field. I'm coming around the negative opinions of others on this board.
I wonder when they will realize the Giants are also playing
You can't seriously be surprised in all your years watching football.
I made a mistake i was watching ESPN, and no I'm not surprised.
First they have a segment on Jimmy J saying "How bout them Cowboys"
Next they have a segment on Micah Parsons
Now they are going to talk about the history of the number 88 to the Cowboys history.
I mean seriously, how can they just do this when they are standing in MetLife Stadium
He’s NOT a good football player and he’s not durable. Guys that are “human joysticks” have a hard time keeping their legs healthy. Most likely he’s done after this year.
This really feels like the letdown week. I'm fully expecting the Giants to get blown out tonight.
For the love of God, I hope we continue this string of wins but I feel the letdown coming.
Go Giants.
2) Judge hits 61 & 62

Is it really disappointing if he's not effective coming off a month on the shelf?
