So right off the bat we'll see the new Kakko and Kravtsov. Let's see how it goes! Also, pay attention to the Jones-Schneider pairing because that's the preseason favorite to be the third-pairing come opening night.
to make the roster as the 13th forward. Will come down to him or Hunt. Vesey actually kills penalties, which will help him...but Hunt seems like a Gallant fave for some reason.
I agree, over time he should, but I think Goodrow and Trocheck will be prominent on the PK (and Gallant seems to like Mika SH too), if Kakko can take a face off (not sure if he can) it would help.
Trocheck is one of those swiss army knives, he can play all situations, and has grit to his game, I think fans will really like him if they are not familiar with his game.
I didn't get a chance to watch any of the game last night
but seeing Othmann show up on the stat sheet twice, with assists both on the PP and shorthanded is a great sign. This team is so stacked on the wings, too bad he's not a center (I feel like we say this for every Rangers forward prospect!)
PK will probably be Zibanejad/Kreider and Trocheck/Goodrow. My guess is if one of those guys is in the box, Kakko will get the call, maybe even Lafreniere who started to show signs of being a very good defensive forward last year.
Someone else mentioned Vesey being the 13th forward, and I could definitely see that. I also do not see Reaves being a nightly fixture the way he was last year. Reaves, in my opinion, served his role last year in changing the way the Rangers are perceived. I do not believe at this point anyone would call them "soft", even without Reavo in the lineup, as much as I do enjoy watching him eviscerate souls.

He was a pest on the Canes during the playoffs last year. I'm glad he's on the Rangers now.

I know (or think I do) that CK had some SH goals last season, but imo I don't see him as ideally suited for PK: he's not a naturally good checker and he's not good at using his body along the boards to use time off the two minutes. To Brett's point, I could see KK, and maybe KAM has earned enough trust to get some regular work: his coverage and speed in closing down space are prolly second to none on the team, but his mistakes in assignments/who to pick up on the fly and at what angle are still problematic, so there's that.
In terms of Reaves more a healthy scratch yet team not to be perceived as soft w/o him, I think the captain put an exclamation point to end that notion.
We've moved, from NE Westchester to a bit north of Ridgefield, CT. In the course of this, we have at long last freed ourselves of the detestable, incompetent, lowlife Altice/Optimum (formerly Cablevision) service; now with Comcast, which I'm near certain we'll learn to detest in time.
I was at BestBuy this AM and a knowledgeable guy there was recommending YouTube TV, but MSG Network is not available on that app.
Do I have options in re-uniting wit Sam and Joe? Any recommendations appreciated, tia.

I use FuboTV. It has gotten fairly expensive over the years (used to be $39 a month, now it's $74 I think), but it is reliable for MSG. Or you can try streaming on Uzzu. It's $120 annually, and you get every NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB game without blackout restrictions, and you get home and away broadcasts for every game.

SNR, thank you!
With those numbers, FuboTV is close to paying an additional half cable bill monthly. Is the feed on Uzzu so poor such that you keep Fubo? At $10/month sounds like a bargain in comparison. What is the downside? Again, thanks.
on being soft and I don't mean fighting per se, I mean just being hard to play against.
Forget about Reaves (who I would keep), they have Goodrow, Blais, Trocheck, obviously Trouba, and more.
And this is important because that fraction of a second the other team takes to see where those guys are is enough to make a difference as opposed to playing with no concern.

A couple of things. Uzzu is web based, it's not an app so you have to screen cast it to your TV. Plus, I often can't watch games live, and you can't DVR on Uzzu. FuboTV has DVR capabilities. I split an Uzzu subscription with a friend, so we each pay $60 a year.
Vesey - Chytil - Kravtsov
Trivigno - Carpenter - Reaves
Othmann - Rydahl - Sykora
Miller-Trouba
Jones-Schneider
Hajek-Welinski

Why would you bother posting that? You don't have a lot to do I guess do you?
Lol, gets the first goal
His primary to Miller shorthanded was a beaut.

I'm hoping Gallant gives Kakko PK time. He's our best defensive forward imo.
