that he holds the ball too long......last in the league in getting the ball out and Rush is pretty fast. Based on that, our ability to get to him will be tough tonight.
But Golladay didn’t even attempt to box Diggs out from making a play. He has to recognize diggs is jumping it and get in the way
Yeh and when you are a 6 5 WR you should expect him to block him out. Wasn’t a great throw, but it’s another contested catch maven hasn’t come down with. Dude is friggin useless at this point. Won’t be surprised if they bench him again soon
theme of the game so far is that we're losing the battle at the LOS on both sides of the ball. Dallas is running well and Rush has plenty of time to throw. Meanwhile, we aren't running nearly as well and Jones is being constantly pressured.

You expect your WR to get some separation on that play. Golladay just never gets an separation. Shepard would have gotten some, then the pass would have been complete
I don't know, I thought they've done pretty well on both sides so far. This game is probably too big for them at the moment but last year's team would probably be down double digits by now.
You realize they have one more possession and we had a FG blocked right? That third down was sloppy, but gotta think if things continue we have advantage. Get a repeat of the first drive and KGs bum ass off the field we’ll be good.
To answer here and with both points and time of possession. Our defense has been on the field a bit here and needs a blow now. We need points and time.
Barkley needs some yards and some physical plays but Jones to a Wr more than 10 yards from the Loss would be good too.
This is absolutely false. No need to make things up.
It isn’t. AT had some shit that he needed to clean up (that magically went away when we fired our OL coach mid seasons) but Neal can’t even keep his feet. It’s really not a good sign. He has terrible balance for such an athlete.
Or more if Bredneson held his blocking even a second more. I do want to see more running but our lack of speed at WR makes our passing game have to work harder.
* I wonder how much the Jets would want for Mims..
I think people don't remember how horrible our OL has been recently. This line is below average but WAY better than the USFL reject level line we had last year.

He was absolutely terrible for a minimum of 8 games and there's plenty of video for it. Go watch how bud Dupree dismantled him and say Neal looked worse.
has had some struggles, which is to be expected going up against Lawrence and Parsons. But the interior of the OL is being annihilated, especially on pass plays. When they aren't being pushed back they're being beaten with quick inside moves.
I think people don't remember how horrible our OL has been recently. This line is below average but WAY better than the USFL reject level line we had last year.
It also only looks better overall because we are running a modern offense that actually schemes people open then expecting a bunch of Jags to win 1 v 1

This line still can’t pass protect to save their life. Neal doesn’t look good but it is only magnified by how bad the onterior line is. Good grief it feels like last year. The play calling has helped but still you can’t expect DJ to have any time to throw.
How is this on DJ? I get moving on for rookie contract, but Aaron Rogers ain’t doing shit with this offense. In fact he’s proving it this year because GB has very similar problems.
not sure what to do at this point on offense, except to keep a back into block, but that would really waste Barkley, and pass blocking isn't his strength anyway. But something has to be done. Combine the bad OL play with our pedestrian WRs and it's not surprising we can't sustain drives or throw deep.
But how can anyone proper a QB behind the years he has had behind horrible offensive line. It's only marginally better this year he has no time to throw.
Is no threat at WR, Dallas can keep creeping up and when it's an obvious longer passing down we are fucked.
That 1st down pass, after the penalty was a quick pass to the WR (bubble screen ish play, but when your WR's are SS, Sils and James nobody is backing off or worried about being beaten.
As soon as Jones gets the snap they are in his face
isn't the problem tonight. He has zero time to throw to receivers who can't separate. Everything has to be misdirection or bootleg to try and create any kind of separation and get away from the relentless pressure.
the Cowboys didn't kick the FG. As Buck noted, that is well within Maher's range and we can't move the ball anyway with our OL so who cares if they give it to us at midfield?

Because if he misses we’ll probably tie the game in a defensive battle getting ball at half. A rare good decision by him. 58
Yarder is in range but it’s 50/50 at best.
As he is the second best skill player on the field for us.
Our WR"s are pathetic overall. But, I see Slayton out there and he is the one guy we can use down the field. I think we need to take a few chances that Jones to Slayton can happen over 20 yarda down the field..
we have our DE inside their outside blockers. Washdown and watch em run. It is nuts to me a DE does not hold the edge. It is job #!. Learned that in midget football.
Or two legit starters. We have Shep out there as our number 1 and he’s maybe a top 50 guy in NFL. Can’t have much offense if you have no weapons and pass pro sucks.
Feel bad for DJ, he’s playing an excellent game, and what do you know …zero production.
And QB isn’t good enough to elevate the the guys he has.
Now factor in the giants inability to protect the QB and you have a recipe for one of the worst offenses in the league.
Teams are going to load the box and make the giants earn every yard.
This team sure does make offense look difficult.
Dude a two HOF QBs just put up 14 and 12 in a similar garbage situation and hasn’t produced all year. We need players. It’s really that simple. Honestly we are never gonna get the answer on Jones probably but I hope he wins somewhere else as long as it ain’t against us.
What lesson? Don’t get beat! Lawrence isn’t doing anything but going right around. Chopping his hands and he’s gone. Neal looks horrible in pass pro.
People comparing this to ATs rookie year are ridiculous. Neal is a far cry from dancing elephant. In fact his future may be at Guard in NFL. So solves that problem
hangs heavy over this once dominant team, stadium, franchise.....its a powerful and unrelenting negative JU JU.... reenforced by such unprecedented losing.....can it be overcome? only in the second half, and if not then......it can only be fixed by the '23 draft. the talentless remnants of the DG era is scorching this giants home field like angry game of thrones dragons seeking revenge, spewing their fire down upon all of us.
Dabs gave KG a few opportunities and he’s made zero plays. Off to the bench you go for rest of season and you gotta have some balls to complain now if you are KG.
Stick to hoops. You know shit about football sorry pal the right call is so fucking wrong it’s not even open for discussion forget he was held twice and should have been called at least.
RE: I still think Daboll made the right call going for it
The play call might have been a mistake with timeouts but it was the right move
The way this game unfolded, it the smart call by Daboll is to run the ball, run out the click and get his team in the locker room happy to be down by only 3
It wasn’t. You get that completion you get a FG. My only beef was that you needed to run more clock, so maybe a rollout. The problem was giving the cowboys 2 plays. That was the mistake
RE: RE: Jones has been unbelievable tonight and a great example of why stats
The play call might have been a mistake with timeouts but it was the right move
No. You punt it
You realize if we make that Gano (the money machine is in FG range right?). Where as they have to complete a pass and then rely on Maher who is hit or miss from high end of his range.
The play call might have been a mistake with timeouts but it was the right move
Daballs is lucky...maybe thats his deal

I loved going for it but I wanted to see a roll out that is guaranteed to use at least 4-5 seconds. If you complete, time for a FG. If you don’t have it, there’s no time for a successful play prior to a FG for Dallas.
The play call might have been a mistake with timeouts but it was the right move

Huh? The clock would have stopped on change of possession
RE: RE: Jones has been unbelievable tonight and a great example of why stats
Well when you have running backs who drop perfectly thrown passes, WR (golloday) who can’t catch anything, an OL that’s a sieve. and have a 20 yard play overturned by a complete BS penalty, what do you expect?
Dabs gave KG a few opportunities and he’s made zero plays. Off to the bench you go for rest of season and you gotta have some balls to complain now if you are KG.
He would've had the clutch play of the half if not for a corrupt call by the refs. He gets at least another half.
And the other team has 6. Really perceptive of you.
Newsflash if you watch the NFL and why the chicken salad from chicken shit is a myth. You need players. If Jones played every game like this I get the contact over to him as soon as I could regardless of production or points. The roster stinks.
Thomas and Barkley are the only 2 players that are above average at their position.
The other 9 aren’t starting material
Neal and Bellinger are rookies, give them time. Thomas was literally the worst player in the NFL for about half a season or so before he started putting things together.
And claiming Rush is better than him don’t know shit and should go watch another sport. Put Rush behind our line and see what he looks like. Jones is actually playing well tonight and those who can’t see it neither don’t want to or don’t know shit about football
Of real threat and that keeps our offense within 20 yards of scrimmage at best. No speed outside and a lack of skill is killer.
Barkley needs to start being a force. Time for him to make plays in space. In fact I would use he and Brieda at the same time.
One thing somewhat on our side is that Dallas offensively moved the ball with bigger plays so less multiple plays to create a first down and then more downs. The Giants have been grinding their drives out and have had Dallas's defense on the field longer.
If we can grind it out and eat the clock and wear down the boys defense it will show up in the 4th.. We need Barkley running the ball..
And claiming Rush is better than him don’t know shit and should go watch another sport. Put Rush behind our line and see what he looks like. Jones is actually playing well tonight and those who can’t see it neither don’t want to or don’t know shit about football
I agree, Jones is playing well and doing about all a QB can. We need better OL play in the 2nd half

+1 and This.
RE: What the hell has happened to Slayton over the last 3 years?
Unfortunately when Shep leaves his feet, he’s not in the natural act of his route any longer. I bet that ends up being the explanation.
The guy literally braced himself at the last second because he seen a defender getting ready to plow into him. He didn’t leap to block the guy, he leaped to defend himself from a collision. There is no justification for that call whatsoever. He was running a route with his eyes to the QB
Too eager to run.
Doesn't appear to see the whole field.
His running has been the offense basically. I wish he'd do more, at least it would give the DL something to think about instead of just rushing the passer. Also how do you know he's not seeing the field?

With recievers of our caliber? Or Rodgers? Look at the difference in Tua this year. Without good recievers not many Qbs are gonna look too good. How some people can’t see that is beyond me

Getting criticism for his play this half is just bias pile on. The guy has made plays or has tried to make plays. The OL. Barkley. And receivers need to step up.

I'm not really a Jones supported, but - at least tonight - has it occurred to you maybe why this is the case?
Jones never takes the bull by the horns. It’s not all his fault- the coaching and supporting cast have been below average at best. But at some point you have to cut bait. I don’t want to go into next year hoping he’s all the sudden good. It just hasn’t clicked. This is exactly the type of offensive performance I was anticipating. And he’s the general
And claiming Rush is better than him don’t know shit and should go watch another sport. Put Rush behind our line and see what he looks like. Jones is actually playing well tonight and those who can’t see it neither don’t want to or don’t know shit about football

Because DJ is playing well and Thibs hasn’t showed much rushing the passer (which he should with his supposed great first step and a knee sprain has nothing to do with) and Neal legit looks like a G with how poor his balance has been out in space the first three weeks. This isn’t a technique issue, it’s like a you don’t belong at T in the NFL issue. Dudes a great explosive athlete, but balance is at 350lbs is why those guys are so rare. Hope Im wrong and certainly think he can be an awesome G but this is worrisome.
The line, WR and QB are the problem. I hope to see some improvement, ent from the line as Neal settles in and they build some chemistry over the rest of the year, but QB and WR just need to be overhauled. The talent is below average.

Come on dude, it was a bad call. Even Aikman and the replay analyst said so.

I was thinking of using Barkley as a WR on some passing downs. Have someone else block like a TE. But ofc you don't practice it a lot then . . .
And claiming Rush is better than him don’t know shit and should go watch another sport. Put Rush behind our line and see what he looks like. Jones is actually playing well tonight and those who can’t see it neither don’t want to or don’t know shit about football
Have to agree. Jones has been trying his best to make plays with hardly any time. What are people thinking on this board? This offensive line is putrid.
has played well. He's made good decisions despite constant pressure, no running game, and receivers who have to be schemed to get open. I'm not sure what people expect. The OL has been awful, especially Neal.
On defense, the Cowboys are killing us on the edge and up the middle. Rush also has plenty of time to throw because we aren't generating any pressure. Nothing from KT or AO.
Games are won and lost in the "trenches."
We are very luck only to be down by three. We've played very poorly.
RE: Those two unused timeouts will come in handy in the second quarter.
a 2-15 record yields this brain trust with the high drafting firepower they need to turn this shit bucket franchise into a winner. how many years of being embarrassed can the loyal fans take? ten more? some of us, won't be around for that ....by then we'll be rendered into dribbling our food into our laps just the same thing this O line is doing on a national stage tonight!
And they know he runs like a rabbit. O-Line collapses so that doesn't help at all.
We are SOOOO lucky the score is what it is-due to coaching. Jones just cannot think fast enough
RE: Jones has been playing very well this game....
Getting criticism for his play this half is just bias pile on. The guy has made plays or has tried to make plays. The OL. Barkley. And receivers need to step up.
You have an extremely generous definition of “playing very well”. He hasn’t played badly, he hasn’t played well either. He’s just sort of there.
RE: RE: Those two unused timeouts will come in handy in the second quarter.
He is an exceptional talent and in his first prime time action is likely making some technical mistakes going up against some very talented Cowboys players.
The line, WR and QB are the problem. I hope to see some improvement, ent from the line as Neal settles in and they build some chemistry over the rest of the year, but QB and WR just need to be overhauled. The talent is below average.
You make some good posts sometimes. But then you watch this half of football and put the QB as the problem and I wonder wtf you are watching
of first divisional game. Most of us would’ve signed up for that. We’ve been good making adjustments so far. Let’s hope that continues tonight. Game is right there for the taking.

These fans are so broken they don't know what good qb play should look like.
Jones is playing with 1 good OL right now, 1 ok and 3 have been terrible - going L-R. Add to that his best WR - Shep is at best a 3rd WR anywhere else. James and Stills are not seeing the field for 31 other teams let alone starting
I think Golliday is just done NFL wise. He won’t be the last WR to lose it after a big injury but I thought he would help. He actually hurts them. His only effective play is a slant which is the dangerous throw
They are going to struggle mightily to score points even if they play well on offense
With recievers of our caliber? Or Rodgers? Look at the difference in Tua this year. Without good recievers not many Qbs are gonna look too good. How some people can’t see that is beyond me
Blows my mind. I think we move on just cuz of rookie cap, but hoping (and know he’ll at least find a landing spot (colts?) he wins some games and puts up “production” with actual talent
Demarcus Lawrence is just beating up Jones and taking his lunch money. Jones is doing all he can but he can't overcome this constant pass pressure. We need to figure out how to get Barkley to start taking the pressure off of Jones.

Its called a defensive penalty if you know any thing about football instead of just critizing Jones
You didn't even realize the penalty wasn't on the guy covering shepard. It was on Lewis who was covering James. You don't know jackshit apparently. Second, I don't bash Jones.
has blind hate towards jones, dude has 2+ people on him within 2 seconds every damn snap
On that one play, he has to recognize two things. The blitz is coming from the corner and the Tight End isn’t blocking, thus just dump it to the tight end. Unless, of course, Bellinger was supposed to block and Jones thought he had the corner. Nobody here knows for certain what happened, but given that Bellinger didn’t even try to chip, me thinks he wasn’t supposed to and Jones need to hit him
Like Aikman said, the decision was made when the 5th year option was declined. Whether it’s all Jones fault or whether he’s got a shitty situation, this regime will likely want to bring in their own QB at a cheaper cost.
This offense is playing with no real threat outside.
We need Robinson to get healthy because he can be a "quickness" weapon which will help with drive extending catches but, we won't get defenses to back off without an outside threat.
He got away with one. It happens every game essentially to every QB though but here you’d think it was only DJ that happens to. What makes this one different though is Diggs usually gets those.
This team needs an alpha dog so bad at WR. Shep can’t be our go to guy.
don't think Jones has great pocket awareness overall, but I don't think that's the problem tonight. I think he's waiting as long as possible for his receivers to try and separate so he can make a play in the passing game. And many times he has no time to throw because the pressure is immediate.

How is he supposed to recognize the rookie TE isn’t blocking anyone when he’s supposed to. Ridiculous…you guys misinterpret pocket presence for all seeing third eye. Same shit on his only fumble this year

+2. Jones is really balling tonight. His toughness has never been an issue, and tonight he's the only one on offense making plays. He's getting almost no help from anyone.
Yet if it were Rogers or Brady, you would say that it was an amazing throw.
You guys are something else.
Yeah, rooting for the QB to succeed versus pissing and moaning about every single play regardless of the garbage around him. Hard to imagine you guys enjoy anything in life.
Here is our chance to start wearing their defense down. Dallas's defense, with all our start, stop, pickup firsts, get stopped, get more yards, get just enough, new set of downs has had Dallas defense on the field a LOT!

This disaster of a line is setting Jones up for an incomplete on the year — which will be the worst possible outcome.
No way. The decision has been made. Schoen & Daboll did not draft Jones.
The way I look at it as someone that believes DJ is probably a franchise guy…unless he brings this team wins 10 games or they make a playoff run you move on.
One thing I know for sure, Dabs is the truth the way he handles things. He gave KG his chance to play himself off roster tonight. Lots of Parcells in him. Whatever decision him and Schoen make I’m cool with.
The crazy part is people are already laying the groundwork for meddling Mara

See this is funny because I literally said it wasn’t his fault
TD was also well blocked, despite the missed tackles. But it's been clear from the first two games that the OL is much better right now run blocking than pass blocking.
You either force 8 in box to stop Barkley and gotta deal with him and Shep getting open on their 1 v 1s…good luck. Or if you can manufacture any pass game ….good luck stopping Barkley once you get him in space.
Toney needs to figure it out. Hopefully it’s a real injury

All I said was it was a dangerous throw?
Have you said anything positive tonight? Ofc it was "danegerous" but wasn't it also a terrific throw?
I don't know -- did the ball go through Diggs hands?

Saying dangerous throw is negative? It’s just an observation of the play. We have people shitting on the two rookies non stop but I’m the negative one. You guys are insane
If it was Allen or Mahomes making that pass would you call it dangerous or a nice threaded throw?
Have you said anything positive tonight? Ofc it was "danegerous" but wasn't it also a terrific throw?

WH0ta does my question have to do with Jones throw? That has NPOTHING to do with my question, does it?
I meant to say what did my questuion about Jones throw have ot do with teh rookei OL?
if Shepard catch that, he's not getting the first down, although maybe we would have gone for it on fourth.
Need a stop here.
If Jones hits him in stride he would have gotten a first down. I agree the ball Shepard dropped would not have led to a first, but that was bad on both of them
Jones held the ball too long on 2nd down (should have run and helped Thomas who did a good job) and that third down pass was catchable but was not a good pass!!

Even if Shep holds onto that ball, NOT a first down
Daniel Jones has to throw that ball better
Dunno, Shep falls a lot after he makes catches. He was still 3 yards away and had to outrun the defender who was pretty close
Nitpicking DJ is beyond ridiculous here. I swear some of you won’t be happy unless dudes perfect with trash around him. Shep catches that and we are going for it

HE just wants to look at everything negative.
You guys are going wait to deep into a on observation on one single play but enjoy it
what is the ideal posture for Saquon when he's protecting DJ? I assume he can't block below the waist, but it looks too me like he's usually too upright, making it easy to get knocked back.
Gotta say I’m damn impressed with Rush and see why smart money was on Boys. They are just a better team even though we won the QB battle. Clearly that’s not the most important thing.
Calling it now, DJ is gonna get forced into throwing a ball he doesn’t want and it gets picked because gotta make something happen with Shep and a bunch of scrubs.
don't have the personnel to really play well against teams like Dallas that have drafted so much better than the Giants for years. We're competitive and play hard, but our limitations on both sides of the ball are almost self-evident.
Well only two teams in football scores 30 this week yes two. Who is blowing the game? Some of you assholes have the same answer only cause you don’t know the game

Mahomes makes dangerous throws, so what? What does that have to do with this game?
But Christ it is aggravating seeing Thibideaux do nothing against 80 year old Jason Peters
Not sure a knee sprain should hinder him from using his explosiveness.
His expectations are too high imo. People acting like we got Miles Garret. His ceiling is probably more like Bradley Chubb. Never that impressed with him except his gutting through injury. Good player probably, but not a great one. 8-10 sack guy a year.
Remember when you said about a week ago that Winks All In D would cost some games too?
Yeh, that.
We just don’t have the players for the constant blitzing, as much in the front as in the back.
2 straight drives getting shut down.
That said, we are building something that resembles aggressive football.

Bradley Chubb? Heck I’d do backflips at age 50 if he’s Chubb.
The drops by Shep and Golladay I think I overshadowed the confusion by I think Bellinger which looked to me like it directly led to the delay of game penalty.
A lot of sloppy play in that sequence. Especially when DJ was making good throws.

Thibs was dominated by a tackle half his size twice vs Utah. I’ve been saying it. He’s going to be a flop. Sucks jets took sauce
I’m impressed with Jones tonight so far. Besides Thomas online is awful. He is making things happen, ball seems to be zipping when he throws it. Lots of drops a few bad calls. Dallas has so much more talent to us. My expectations are so low this year that I like that we are competing.
Anyone blaming this game on Jones? I expect Dallas defense will dominate the last possession here.
in a prime time game! This team is a long way from being a decent team. We’ve been squeaking out wins, which is fine, but the warts are pretty clear and we’re not close to the Cowboys in talent. The gift of Gettlemen keeps giving

Not sure how anyone can complain about anything other than the dog shit roster DG left us with tbh.
That and our two top 10 picks not passing the sniff test. Neal 3 weeks in a row and Thibs going up against a poor OL and being almost a non factor against a really poor OL (I expect a bit more from a pure pass rusher)
Came away pretty damn impressed with Adoree, DJ, and our coaching staff once again. It is what it is…we ain’t that good. Hard to win in NFL when your number 1 WR is arguably a top 50 player, can’t pass pro, and have no depth at position. Unless you have an elite defense which you can’t when your best player is hurt.
And see the shit that’s out there? An admit you are wrong and it’s NO WAY DJ ‘s fault?? Admit it before you look like a bigger moron then some of you are!!!!
Whoa. He's played a lot better tonight, particularly in the 2nd half, but that doesn't mean he has been good other times. Two things can be true...Jones has been terrible mostly in his career and has played pretty well tonight all things considered.
has zero trade value after this game. Not just the bad drop, he had two or three looks where he couldn’t get separation or had just had spatial awareness on the defender nearest him.

Same. I think we need to understand and accept that this team is still a work in progress.
We have been competitive in each game and won the first 2 of 3, despite a roster that is weak and up against the cap.
Jones has also showed a lot this game. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

I think this was more a move by Dabs saying show me something….or shut the fuck. A long term move. KG can’t say shit the rest of the year after this performance
held the ball way too long there, but how can you blame him? He's trying to wait for his receivers to separate but they can't.
In that situation he has to hold it and hope someone will get open. We are down two scores. We cannot save it for another time. He knows we are still well within FG range for Gano
held the ball way too long there, but how can you blame him? He's trying to wait for his receivers to separate but they can't.
I agree but it comes to a certain point you need to throw it away. We got the FG so no harm. Just a learning point in the coaching room
Down 10 points in the 4th, he's just trying to make something happen. Going out with no points you can't do at this late stage, so he's holding it longer
RE: RE: RE: How is saying the defense deserves some slack
13 points that you referred to is about the offense, isn't it? .
Yea the offense has to score more points. It’s an observation that is true. They just lack talent in too many spots on offense
I agree. There was a dumb thread created earlier this week comparing us ot past Tenn teams. I and a few others though tit absurd. Yes.
The only thing is-- you havent' sad anything positive tonight have you? Not one, have you?
Its not that you are wrong in some cases but I'm just making an observation too. It seems everything you post is never a thing positive. Tonight we were ahead for a short time.
Heck even Christian made a positive post. Anything from you????

jones is the only reason they're in this at all, to the extent they are. It's not like he's leaving plays on the field, and he hasn't turned over the ball, under extreme pressure.
This is not the same qb we had last year. This guy is different

I hope you are not driving tonite
hes been doing this since the first quarter.
The “draft OL and DL at any cost” contingent is possibly mad that you should probably draft good players first. And yeh I was disappointed in the Thibs pick because Sauce was clearly the superior player and people think we somehow got a no brainer first overall edge somehow where we did. Dudes probably gonna be a good player, but the special ones show you something rushing the passer against garbage right away. What did he show tonight?
The O line I can live with because Dallas has a superb front 7. Our D line even without Williams is better than this and the Dallas Online is far from dominant.
at that statistic. Seventy-one percent of the Dallas roster consists of their own draft picks. Wow. Meanwhile, none of the OL we've drafted in the last 10 years have gotten a second contract.

What does sauce have to do with anything? He wasn't an option.
But Eric swears Wink loves him. Crowder is the worst MLB in football
This feels like the 81 or 97 teams. Scrapping and clawing without a good offense, will come up short in winnable games but also win some (as they did the first two games this year)
Yawn. Boring. ANOTHER loss to Dallas (this time with a back up QB) with the Giants thinking they're going to FG everyone to death. Nice little 2-0 start and the white jersey thing was cute but let's get real. Hopefully they can handle the high octane Chicago Bears offense next week!
Are you actually watching the game? Sills was open, and the pass was right where it was supposed to be, but the WR fell down. I mean you can dislike Jones, but to actively ignore the facts of a play just to push your agenda is complete bullshit on your part

Giants need a total overhaul on offense. Besides Barkley who I wouldnt even consider paying because of the position and his injury history they don't have real NFL talent anywhere at QB, WR or TE.
I like Daboll and Schoen a lot but they have their work cut out for them with the talent on offense. 2-0 was nice but they aren't going anywhere with Jones and these weapons. Add in the offensive line especially on the interior needs far better players and it's just a total mess.
Dave Gettleman is the worst employee the giants have ever had. John Mara allowed him to totally ruin this organization

But this loss is not on Jones. The Oline and WRs on this team are not NFL level talent.
I can agree with that. I don’t think he’s good but this was definitely a game where he was not the problem at all. So many drops and no protection. Neal will come around but he has a long way to go, obviously.

Cooper Rush is Dak's backup, but it is actually possible he's also a pretty good QB. I've been impressed by him and that was before this game kicked off.

My apologies, did not see it.
All good. I didn’t mean to snap. I commented prematurely out of frustration. Jones played well tonight all things considering.
Yeah, well your moronic post just proves the point for you haters. All you want to do is piss and moan about DJ that you can’t wait the three seconds it took to see that the WR fell down. You just HAVE to rush to post something negative and ultimately just look stupid. But I’m sure you’ll just double down on that too.
Much as I don't like Akman that much, he had some interesting reflections on the poor O line drafting by the Giants for years.
Then he compared the number of drafted players on Dallas.
It's the difference between good teams and the Giants.
That Shep injury at near the end looked serious when he held his knee.

Either end of the 3rd or beginning of the 4th. That needs to be a run to saquon. Especially considering how badly Neal was getting his shit pushed in. Game was lost on how they approached that drive

Bailed out by a holding call after a bad drop by Barkley.
Running before he brought it in!
Agreed. Some very inventive play calling by Kafka.
No it wasn’t…you expect your massive WR not to get bullied by a smaller corner. God I hope they get rid of him
How? Neal is just gonna give a sack fumble on any double move

It wasn’t a great throw, but he still got bullied and Nico Collins comes away with that. KG is cooked.
Ball was late. Ball should've been out 1 second before KG turns around. Plus it was on the wrong shoulder

WRs are responsible for going back to the ball on timing plays like that. Good receivers will do it...bad ones won't.
Yeh and when you are a 6 5 WR you should expect him to block him out. Wasn’t a great throw, but it’s another contested catch maven hasn’t come down with. Dude is friggin useless at this point. Won’t be surprised if they bench him again soon
Precisely.
You expect your WR to get some separation on that play. Golladay just never gets an separation. Shepard would have gotten some, then the pass would have been complete

? Jones is getting it out fast. Are you even watching
I don't know, I thought they've done pretty well on both sides so far. This game is probably too big for them at the moment but last year's team would probably be down double digits by now.
Lol, or it’s 3-0

? Jones is getting it out fast. Are you even watching
So far, yes, but it’s been his Achilles heel.
You show your football genius here. Hes played all of 20 plays coming off an injury and is a rookie.
You realize they have one more possession and we had a FG blocked right? That third down was sloppy, but gotta think if things continue we have advantage. Get a repeat of the first drive and KGs bum ass off the field we’ll be good.
What's the point of this? Lol
You’d like your top 5 pick to at least show flashes on having an effect on the game. So far NOTHING.
Barkley needs some yards and some physical plays but Jones to a Wr more than 10 yards from the Loss would be good too.
LOL. it's the 1st quarter if his first game.
Expecting rookie linemen to save the world is a tough ask.
Agreed and this is where play calling can help the situation
+1.

This is absolutely false. No need to make things up.
Lawrence is owning the OL all by himself, but he has plenty of help.

Sucks. What’s new?
Absolute trash.
The fact were moving the ball at all speaks to Kafka's gameplan.

I think people don't remember how horrible our OL has been recently. This line is below average but WAY better than the USFL reject level line we had last year.
He’s getting too much time, however he gets it out in a hurry.

Yes. He is the D's best player right now.
Nothing is wrong. That's who he is. Perfectly normal.

Glad they missed it , but…..you know they’ll do a make up call.
Not moronic. He was toast.
That dude Noah Brown looks really good and has been killing it for them
The depth on the d-line is pretty bad. We’ll see Lawrence play more snaps as a result and wear down.

Yep.

The Giants need to answer Dallas with a TD drive here. Gotta keep the pressure on Dallas.
Btw that was a really strong tackle by Flott that last series.

When the O-line allows a jail break on every pass play,
That 1st down pass, after the penalty was a quick pass to the WR (bubble screen ish play, but when your WR's are SS, Sils and James nobody is backing off or worried about being beaten.
Our o line sucks
His run was snazzy too.
Hasn't had any known issues since he's been in the NFL.
Bredeson to center.
Hamilton to right tackle
Somebody said QB play looks off around league. It’s line play. Really bad lineplay all around NFL right now.
He can’t handle the workload. It’s why he only got part time touches at Memphis even though he was a stud there (wanted him real bad)

I think they're starting two rookie OL
And then a fortuitous drop by Lamb. Rush had eons of time.
that was supposed to be KT5
TV has to be a bit quicker with camera work
They’ve given up 6 points thus far.

Anyone?

Not outcoached.

Cannot win if we can't stop the run
We telegraphed that blitz on #3 and 12.
and yes TY CD.

We camps stop with the KT and then numbers.
Toney isn’t long for the Giants. There will be only one KT. So let’s put that to rest.

Unconvinced Ximines is going to do any better setting the edge.
Some of you giving up are absurd, we are only down 3
This is the test
Sure, as long as the OL shows up.
With no pass blocking?
Nope
Could always put on your Cowboys jersey
2. Kick thr FG
3. Punt
I love it when my opponent does what I would want them to do it
I was almost thinking maybe accepting it to lock them into the punt
Not really. Decent coverage all around.
Dreadful half
Giants are extremely lucky to be down by just 3
Team looks terrible… looks like past 10 years of ineptitude
This
Because if he misses we’ll probably tie the game in a defensive battle getting ball at half. A rare good decision by him. 58
Yarder is in range but it’s 50/50 at best.

That's what Aikman said. The only camera angle I saw had Barkley in it but he was covered
We're just going to punt anyway.

I think this team freezes on Primetime.....
Our WR"s are pathetic overall. But, I see Slayton out there and he is the one guy we can use down the field. I think we need to take a few chances that Jones to Slayton can happen over 20 yarda down the field..

And a #2 and #3.
Now factor in the giants inability to protect the QB and you have a recipe for one of the worst offenses in the league.
Teams are going to load the box and make the giants earn every yard.
This team sure does make offense look difficult.
Or two legit starters. We have Shep out there as our number 1 and he’s maybe a top 50 guy in NFL. Can’t have much offense if you have no weapons and pass pro sucks.
Feel bad for DJ, he’s playing an excellent game, and what do you know …zero production.
Tonight
Hope he improves or else it’s move him to guard
He can’t pass block
Barkley is a worthless pass protector. Both mentally and physically he sucks at it.

It's the talent not the play calling.
Yup.

Dude a two HOF QBs just put up 14 and 12 in a similar garbage situation and hasn’t produced all year. We need players. It’s really that simple. Honestly we are never gonna get the answer on Jones probably but I hope he wins somewhere else as long as it ain’t against us.
We have enough time to get into fg position
We don’t want the cowboys getting any time if we don’t convert this series. McCarthy got played
And Toney in street clothes and Golladay benched. It’s unreal.
We get the ball to start the second half..
With no arms
Really looks robotic and bad.
Split Barkley out and put Brightwell in for blocking

People comparing this to ATs rookie year are ridiculous. Neal is a far cry from dancing elephant. In fact his future may be at Guard in NFL. So solves that problem
What TE? TE was a weak position four weeks ago.
Quote:
got whipped but Barkley still has absolutely zero clue what he's doing in pass protection.
Yup.
Did you expect Barkley to help outside of Neal? When you have help from a RB you have to force him back inside. That was not even slightly on Barkley.
Terrible call against Shepard. Shades of what happened against Sills to negate Toney's big play against Carolina.
Dude this is different. Neal has zero balance (a knock on him at Bama)
Wow wtf fucking Dallas

I think the hit and diggs dropping drew the flag, right or wrong
Thanks for nothing, you failure.
They started their first 2 games with a lousy first half. Lets see if they can turn it up a bit in the 2nd half.
His man is an all pro.
Daboll man come on grow a pair.
I disagree.
A first down is a FG attempt.
Play to win.
When to leave we’ll enough alone
Just get into the club house
The fuck it is. Shepard obv didn’t see him until right before he collided hence why he likely jumped. The refs reacted to Diggs. Bullshit call.

Yes. The one last week Silks was looking at the guy. Unlike Shepherd

Run the hall because you have your timeouts. If you don’t get it Dallas likely let’s the half expire.
Clock stops on change of position
the clock automatically stops on a turnover on downs wtf
Thank goodness Maher missed.
Break
We have 3 points in a half of football.
Clock would have stopped after a turn over on downs

No. You punt it
Mot Mahomes, bot Rogers. No one!
I mean how many years does it take to put together a good offensive line? For the Giants 10 years and counting. It really is rediculous.
Jones playing well.
He's got twice the time to throw.
It's painfully obvious tonight.

I loved going for it but I wanted to see a roll out that is guaranteed to use at least 4-5 seconds. If you complete, time for a FG. If you don’t have it, there’s no time for a successful play prior to a FG for Dallas.

Well when you have running backs who drop perfectly thrown passes, WR (golloday) who can’t catch anything, an OL that’s a sieve. and have a 20 yard play overturned by a complete BS penalty, what do you expect?
He would've had the clutch play of the half if not for a corrupt call by the refs. He gets at least another half.
Bingo. And if play fails, Dallas gets it back with 2 seconds and no time to set up a play before a FG try.

Giants pass rush?
It was okay.
I'd like to see if the ball went through his hands.
kG is running a slant. And has to spin around to try to make the catch

Neal and Bellinger are rookies, give them time. Thomas was literally the worst player in the NFL for about half a season or so before he started putting things together.
kG is running a slant. And has to spin around to try to make the catch

He’s getting paid 18 million - he can (and should) make that catch.
I disagree. Not expecting him to hold the edge, but expect more from the pass rush from him with the crap the boys are running out at T.
This D needs LW in a big way and we only held them to 6 because of how bad the Boys are offensively.
/Eom
Agreed. He's a douche.
Doesn't appear to see the whole field.
I agree, Jones is playing well and doing about all a QB can. We need better OL play in the 2nd half

This is why I was shocked they didn’t pick up Jones’s option. There’s going to be so much plausible deniability.

Have to agree. Jones has been trying his best to make plays with hardly any time. What are people thinking on this board? This offensive line is putrid.
On defense, the Cowboys are killing us on the edge and up the middle. Rush also has plenty of time to throw because we aren't generating any pressure. Nothing from KT or AO.
Games are won and lost in the "trenches."
We are very luck only to be down by three. We've played very poorly.
What?? We would have given Dallas more time... Come on now...
We are SOOOO lucky the score is what it is-due to coaching. Jones just cannot think fast enough

These fans are so broken they don't know what good qb play should look like.
I think Golliday is just done NFL wise. He won’t be the last WR to lose it after a big injury but I thought he would help. He actually hurts them. His only effective play is a slant which is the dangerous throw
They are going to struggle mightily to score points even if they play well on offense
the job of Evan Neal is to block Demarcus Lawrence
perhaps you need reminding of that.
Of course, it’s possible the physical mismatches are too much to overcome.

Blows my mind. I think we move on just cuz of rookie cap, but hoping (and know he’ll at least find a landing spot (colts?) he wins some games and puts up “production” with actual talent

The rush is coming from his right side. He should see that and step up in the pocket or get rid of the ball.

On that one play, he has to recognize two things. The blitz is coming from the corner and the Tight End isn’t blocking, thus just dump it to the tight end. Unless, of course, Bellinger was supposed to block and Jones thought he had the corner. Nobody here knows for certain what happened, but given that Bellinger didn’t even try to chip, me thinks he wasn’t supposed to and Jones need to hit him
This. He’s not at fault for tonight but that’s something he should notice pre snap.
Let him learn from the sideline
He’s gonna get the QB kill
Take him out with the game tied 6-6
He’s not learning a thing tonight except how to play a turnstile
This is important for his growth. This may be the worst game of his entire life. He needs to regroup and learn from it.
This is true, its also true the hate on him tonight is ridiculous.
Lol why are you laughing about that? Dipshit
No way. The decision has been made. Schoen & Daboll did not draft Jones.

How is he supposed to recognize the rookie TE isn’t blocking anyone when he’s supposed to. Ridiculous…you guys misinterpret pocket presence for all seeing third eye. Same shit on his only fumble this year
Are you fucking kidding me?
Give up the game????????
Football is not your game.

Like Aikman said, the decision was made when the 5th year option was declined. Whether it’s all Jones fault or whether he’s got a shitty situation, this regime will likely want to bring in their own QB at a cheaper cost.
This is true, its also true the hate on him tonight is ridiculous.
+2. Jones is really balling tonight. His toughness has never been an issue, and tonight he's the only one on offense making plays. He's getting almost no help from anyone.
Let’s get in the fucking endzone.

They were able to do that off the pass game.

Yes.
People who point that out are not overreacting.
Pretty deflating.
Twice.
Laid down
People who point that out are not overreacting.
Needs more weight to play outside. He needs to be in the slot
Defense needed to step up on that drive and not give them any life! Crowder was useless inside in that
As usual. Crowder throws a shoulder instead of tackling him short of the goal line
OL bad, no WRs, worst inside LBs in football - 2-0 and tied going to 4th quarter
Fucking relax. JFC
Thibs and AO have had NO impact on this game. Understandable but disappointing.

To be fair we got off easy on the first drive when the refs didn't call the PI on Holmes

6”1’ and 175 lbs. He just turned 21 in August. Dude needs to fill out
The only one I remember is Lamb and dude is a drop machine. It’s like not expecting the sun to set in the West.
Right now the refs are 1 blown vs 1 blown and our kicker did get a FG blocked.
Need a stop here.
It has been every single play
Need a stop here.
If Jones hits him in stride he would have gotten a first down. I agree the ball Shepard dropped would not have led to a first, but that was bad on both of them
The ball was behind him and high. No fricking way is that one on anyone but Jones.

Even if Shep holds onto that ball, NOT a first down
Daniel Jones has to throw that ball better
His time to process still takes too long.

Dunno, Shep falls a lot after he makes catches. He was still 3 yards away and had to outrun the defender who was pretty close
And still hit Shep in the hands. The throw could have absolutely been better but that’s a catchable ball

I feel like we've said this about five times a game.
They haven’t been great but they’ve also given up only 20 points. Not going to win many games scoring 20 or less.
Our WRs can't even get open, let alone make a play.
It was very close. Dallas ran hurry up because they didn't want NY to challenge it.
I was just thinking the same. Imagine if the Giants had a WR like Lamb
Cant generate any pressure on the QB
Way too easy.
Defense butchered
Imagine being outcoached by a Mike McCarthy staff smh
Gotta say I’m damn impressed with Rush and see why smart money was on Boys. They are just a better team even though we won the QB battle. Clearly that’s not the most important thing.

Mahomes makes dangerous throws, so what? What does that have to do with this game?
Not sure a knee sprain should hinder him from using his explosiveness.
His expectations are too high imo. People acting like we got Miles Garret. His ceiling is probably more like Bradley Chubb. Never that impressed with him except his gutting through injury. Good player probably, but not a great one. 8-10 sack guy a year.

Whoa. He's played a lot better tonight, particularly in the 2nd half, but that doesn't mean he has been good other times. Two things can be true...Jones has been terrible mostly in his career and has played pretty well tonight all things considered.
Just didn't get touched, That was the difference in the game
We blitzed and they picked them all up
They blitzed and constantly disrupted and got home.
Their receivers got open, ours didn't
They caught the ball, we dropped it
They got pressure
We didn't
That probably sums it up...We didn't
Bailed out by a facemark.
No
Honestly….make it happen. Dabs knows how to deal.
13 points that you referred to is about the offense, isn't it? .
By himself out there.
Look at that. Jones is being harassed immediately on every play.
Anyone blaming this game on Jones? I expect Dallas defense will dominate the last possession here.
Same. I think we need to understand and accept that this team is still a work in progress.
We have been competitive in each game and won the first 2 of 3, despite a roster that is weak and up against the cap.
Jones has also showed a lot this game. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Yea the offense has to score more points. It’s an observation that is true. They just lack talent in too many spots on offense
Part of that is our garbage WRs can’t even get open when he does buy time.

I think this was more a move by Dabs saying show me something….or shut the fuck. A long term move. KG can’t say shit the rest of the year after this performance
+1
In next year’s Draft.
Several talent voids to fill.
Another area outcoached.
I agree but it comes to a certain point you need to throw it away. We got the FG so no harm. Just a learning point in the coaching room
Nothing.
In that situation he has to hold it and hope someone will get open. We are down two scores. We cannot save it for another time. He knows we are still well within FG range for Gano
Who are they to say what his intentions were?!?!
Both sides.
Nothing.
+1
He is alone out there.
In next year’s Draft.
Several talent voids to fill.
They’re going to overhaul it for sure, QB is the question mark in making move this year or next.

held the ball way too long there, but how can you blame him? He's trying to wait for his receivers to separate but they can't.

Down 10 points in the 4th, he's just trying to make something happen. Going out with no points you can't do at this late stage, so he's holding it longer

+1 and our OL has a ways to go personnel wise and shoring up their personal technique.
Thomas looks good as usual.
It won't be pretty this year, that is for sure but at least we are in games.
It's frustrating because I know the big changes that are coming are unknowns as far as the WHO is concerned..
So many talking like this game is over. I know it doesn't look good but this is by no means over.
In next year’s Draft.
Several talent voids to fill.
Yup, this rebuild was always going to take longer than one offseason. Neal having a welcome to the NFL disaster tonight.
Opposing DC's will be able to get in a few extra rounds of golf before their game as the game planning will take 10 mins.
You won’t have to worry much longer.
He’ll be destroyed by all these hits.

This is not the same qb we had last year. This guy is different
and I'm ok with not winning, there is progress here. we will get better
That's the spirit

hes been doing this since the first quarter.
Relax
He’s useless, keeps getting blocked out of the play and can’t tackle
No doubt, this game showed exactly how valuable he is
And I’m the one that had too much to drink. Jesus the dude sucked as GM but guy was a lifer that had a HUGE hand in us winning a SB.
No way! Come on man. We'd have to be pretty selective.
This is posted when we are on defense?
It’s hard for people to grip this. Fraud bowl next week.

LOL...As long as I'm not one we have a shot!
Neal was schooled by Lawrence, a great player. Thibs was playing in his first game and is probably still affected by his knee injury.

What does sauce have to do with anything? He wasn't an option.

Holy shit Crowder just can’t tackle at ALL
He’s useless, keeps getting blocked out of the play and can’t tackle
I was sure after he sucked last year that he would be off the team. Can't tackle, can't read, can't cover.
I agree
I know they r rooks and thibs was hurt but he did nothing and Neal looked like a fuckn rusty gate
I predicted 7-10, I’ll stick with that.
Really?
But Eric swears Wink loves him. Crowder is the worst MLB in football
This feels like the 81 or 97 teams. Scrapping and clawing without a good offense, will come up short in winnable games but also win some (as they did the first two games this year)
Agreed.
Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the league, what did you expect.

He wasn’t. But it was a bit shocking to see him and Stingley go 2 and 3. And can’t tell me Wink didn’t covet Sauce.

a lifer that put the team on what is now a 5 going on 6 year rebuild.
Run a hook and ladder.
Run a hook and ladder.
What the Giants should run right now to try and get extra yards after a catch.
Nope just fell
[quote] . [/quote
sills slipped you asshole
That’s Jones’s fault?
You're a turd bro
Maybe if the WRs caught a few of their drops earlier in the game or the OL blocked worth a damn, we'd have more points.
Aaaaaaaand there it is.
Other than his receiver falling? None
ARe you stupid or just joking.
Sills slipped
Are you watching the game?
What? Sills fell. The QB was already throwing the ball.
Sills just fell down. The WR talent on this team is humiliating.
He doesn’t look devastate which is odd considering the cart
Oops. Care to take back your comment?
Are you fucking watching? The receiver fucking fell.
Morons galore on this thread.

But this loss is not on Jones. The Oline and WRs on this team are not NFL level talent.

He was lurking here all night waiting to trash Jones for something. He got to do it in garbage time
Are you actually watching the game? Sills was open, and the pass was right where it was supposed to be, but the WR fell down. I mean you can dislike Jones, but to actively ignore the facts of a play just to push your agenda is complete bullshit on your part
This post is boring 🥱

I thought he grabbed his ankle area. Whatever it is, it is serious and likely season and career ending.
Come on man, this is a silly post. You don't have to try to beat everyone to the punch

I can agree with that. I don’t think he’s good but this was definitely a game where he was not the problem at all. So many drops and no protection. Neal will come around but he has a long way to go, obviously.
The thing is there was no receiver that close and you just assume he fucked up. You've bene watching football for how long?

Then he compared the number of drafted players on Dallas.
It's the difference between good teams and the Giants.
Our core WRs suck.
DJ played a real nice game and could have won if the WRs didn't drop those passes.
It was clear well before this game the rebuild was going to take longer than one season.

I stand corrected on that last pick.

Yawn. Boring. ANOTHER loss to Dallas (this time with a back up QB) with the Giants thinking they're going to FG everyone to death. Nice little 2-0 start and the white jersey thing was cute but let's get real. Hopefully they can handle the high octane Chicago Bears offense next week!
This post is boring 🥱
