and the below average receivers, but damn, Daniel Jones needs to stop holding onto the ball so long waiting for things to develop. It's just maddening that he never seems to throw it in rhythm unless it's a slant.
Can they please find a way to put an NFL O-line on the field!
the new guys need to work on their technique the arrow points up though (IMHO).
WR has to be a priority in April.
Golladay should be gone after this season. Sheperd had a bad night (but doesn't frighten anybody anyway). Toney doesn't seem to be able to get on the field - did he play 1 down tonight?
What is mot damning about this gam,e is it exposes what the Giants are at this point in time and again reflects what an incredibly poor job Gettleman did as GM. The talent is just not there and the hype about the defense is as misplaced as the BS that the OL is much better. Need WRs, OLs, DB and LBs. Replacing Jones at QB is largely cosmetic without other changes.
Zero sacks and allowed 7 ypc and the ST caused a six point swing....
One, they needed to disrupt Cooper Rush, maybe get some turnovers. Two, the crowd needed to affect the game. I thought from the start the Giants crowd was into it. But, there seemed to be lots of Cowboy fans. Without some help, the weaker team will not beat the stronger team.
I saw nothing special tonight from Dallas aside from maybe the pass rush and even then we had our chances on O but our WRs left a handful of big plays on the field.
Called it. Someone was gonna make a dumb comment after DJ throws a ball he really doesn’t want to in a must throw situation where we have trash to throw to
The great destruction (2011-17) of the physicality of the franchise reared its head again. Last 5 years some parts but the best piece was missing. Need those two 1 picks to get better.
Let's hope JS figures out you need that to win in this division. Perimeter game doesn't cut it. Been down that road before.
No pass protection
No pass rush
Defense collapse all three levels
Giants will be pudding at the Eagles dinner
They have a pass rush.
I warned you guys. You can't miss all of camp and the preseason and just play. Our two top edge rushers are not ready for the season. Combine that with Leonard Williams being out.
Led the Giants to a one score loss, quite a feat for a team that routinely gets embarrassed on national TV and was mostly assembled by arguable the worst GM of the 2000's.
Our Divisional record is abysmal over that span. I know we’re not going to any Super Bowl this year, but we’ve got to start turning our loses in the Division around. These games are more painful to me.

Fair point.
RE: RE: Can't really be throwing to Sills in winning time
But he played his heart out with absolute dog shit beside Thomas and Barkley. The rest of the offense was a net negative. I gained a lot of respect for him tonight. Gentleman was worse than Matt Millen Im convinced.
I like Shep. He had a bad drop today, but I like him as a player. He's done though. The wr talent on this team is nonexistent. Golladay had two big drops and struggles to see the field with guys like Sills and James. KT is either legit injured or disinterested in football and Slayton must just suck at this point. He doesn't even play.
This was an opportunity to change the expectations of the season. 3-0 really can set the tone for an improbable wildcard run. This was a dose of reality with games against the Packers & Ravens on the horizon. The Bears game becomes important now.
had to of pushed for Daniel Jomes as an Eli lookalike and here we are. Things need to change and if the new GM is getting pressure from the Maras he should resign and walk away. Mara and Gettleman destroyed the franchise. We are a long way from being a contender.
In this game probably more than any other. He had to deal with no pass protection and receivers who either couldn’t catch or couldn’t get open. Except for Ritchie James.

The real alpha edge guys would have shown something against a super poor pass pro OL.
Thibs will probably be fine, but people here act like we got Myles Garret reincarnate and everyone just passed because he was a name. Meanwhile dude that did go number 1 overall looks like an actual freak.
Disappointed in the D. Seems everything rests on the shoulders of Jones and Barkley to produce. Should be the D winning or losing for us. Did the Dallas D make it to 20 pressures ;(
Led the Giants to a one score loss, quite a feat for a team that routinely gets embarrassed on national TV and was mostly assembled by arguable the worst GM of the 2000's.
To me, this is a moral victory.
I feel good about the coaching staff. If the front office can find them players, I think the future will be right.
Processes not results are the key this year. They simply don’t have enough talent as of now to expect many wins.
RE: Our O-Line is terrible and our receiving corps is terrible
Sign tomorrow. Otherwise going to be tough to watch this pass O.
You seriously want the Giants to sign Antonio Brown? You must be as crazy as he is
Name a WR on our roster that is better?
And hypothetically he would play how many games before his brain snaps and he quits on us mid game like he did the Patriots?...
He's a nutcase. Forget it.
on his power size and explosiveness. Not sure how you can teach a guy balance though and good feet. Nothing to do with tonight, overall 3 game picture here.
RE: There's a lot going on with this offensive line
and the below average receivers, but damn, Daniel Jones needs to stop holding onto the ball so long waiting for things to develop. It's just maddening that he never seems to throw it in rhythm unless it's a slant.
Yeah, sometimes you have to trust your receivers to get open between the time you throw and the time the ball gets to them. But can you blame him for not having a high level of trust? Like when the guy slips and falls and it ends up looking like a bad throw and INT to end the game. Ugh.
It's just a bad situation all around with this offense, because nobody/no position is good enough to overcome the weaknesses of the other positions.
RE: And Neal doesn’t look like an OT. Possibly a great Guard though based
on his power size and explosiveness. Not sure how you can teach a guy balance though and good feet. Nothing to do with tonight, overall 3 game picture here.
I'm sure you said the same thing about our left tackle his rookie season.
Back to earth fella’s. Need to win next week. If we make it to the quarter poll 3-1 I’ll take that.
Look, the talent just isn’t on the field. Receivers are bad, they’re still a lot of work and more talent needed on the line. On defense, we just don’t have any playmakers. There’s nothing on defense that changes the game. Nothing. And Specials don’t make plays either. All of this is pretty clear playing a team like Dallas. And let’s be honest about Dallas, they ain’t that great themselves. We had their backup QB1 and he gave us more than we could handle. Giants are still a bad team. Rebuilding. Sure. But still bad.
If there’s anything to worry about it’s the coaching which didn’t seem to be great tonight. I know DaBALLS can’t make much with the lousy personnel. But it didn’t seem like a great game for the coaches.
OL and DL were bad. Jones had no protection and we generated no pass rush. No sacks against Rush, a backup QB. Nothing from our WRs. Golladay and Toney have done zero this year, and now Shepard is likely done for the year as well.
Jones was running for his life the entire night. He played very well.
Neal and KT were disappointing, but both are rookies and KT is likely still recovering from his injury.

Seriously, one tough loss and this is how some of you respond..
It's a rebuild and it is far from over because of cap shit (KG), a lame duck QB and absolutely nothing at WR!!
on first down by Shepard. That's a ball that should have been caught and should have been a first down. Instead, 2nd and long. That drive went sideways after that.
Neal had a very rough game...hopefully it's a learning experience
Tae Crowder, Darnay Holmes, and Kenny Golladay stand out among them. It’s like having 3 Evan Engrams instead of one.
Evan Neal… that was ugly. I’m not even sure that Thomas was that bad as a rookie.
The play-calling at the end of the half was atrocious and almost bit them in the ass. The Cowboys were giving them the first down and the sideline, but they’re running slants.

Yes. Thomas had a lot of bad games his rookie season. How quickly peopke forget.
Unfortunately there are going to be games like this
doesn't throw anyone open. He doesn't anticipate anything (either pressure or receivers coming out of breaks. He is incredibly slow to process things and does not throw the ball unless he actually sees a guy open. That doesn't work in the NFL. It doesn't work when you have good talent skill positions, and it certainly doesnt work when you have no talent at the skill positions. He's a see it open throw it QB only. The next one of those that is actually successful in this league will be the first.

Sorry you missed the game, but you can catch the highlights
it doesn't matter. The Giants just aren't gonna bring Jones back as the starter after this year just on the chance that he plays better behind a better offensive line - nor should they. This team has remained one of the most anemic offenses in the league through Jones' entire time with the team. He had his chance, time to try something new.

He will have ups and downs, but so far he has had no ups. His pass protection through three games has been laughably bad. He is sometimes barely touching the guys running past him.

Barkley needed to get the ball more often.
The game was lost on not giving Barkley the ball enough. Tie game midfield second and 5 - he needs the ball there….
as much as I have to admit, always out coach the Giants. Their franchise is ran better overall, same with the Eagles.
I didn’t see the out coached. We hung in. Saw the outplayed and out talented.
My take as well.
+2. We weren't outcoached. Our roster is just demonstrably inferior to the Cowboys. More than 70% of their players are their draft picks. They have drafted extremely well. We have not.
We were missed FG, and a couple CAR luck turnovers away from 0-2.....each game showed no offense. Now 2-1 with nothing still to show on offense (though barkley looked good), and defense that looked weak against backup Cooper Rush in prime-time.
We'll be #8 in power rankings next week. Outlook not good.

Nah there’s a huge difference between that and a guy just looking like he does. Dancing elephants is what GY called them. Dudes an elephant for sure, and powerful AND explosive. But his balance and feet are just awful. It was a problem in college. He looks like he legit doesn’t belong. AT wasnt good, but I was technique issues and people were setting him up inside (and Miraculously got better when we fired the OL coach). The bright side is he can probably be a helluva guard which is also a major need on this team.
because the roster stilll stinks, but i hope to hell DJ signs with someone like the Colts in off-season and takes them to a SB when I see some comments about him here
You're going to play a bunch of close games. You're not going to win them all.
We won 2 close, low scoring games. We lost 1. The games themselves weren't that different.
That's just who we are right now. We're not good this year. It's OK. We're not supposed to be good this year.
Bingo.
Agreed. But my fear as the year goes on is that the defense will get worn down and start to get blown out in the second half of many games. Aside from Barkley, we have nothing on offense. Bellinger is a nice move the chains TE but isn't going to beat anyone at this level down the seam. James should be primarily a PR and a #4 WR.

Bingo.
I agree with this and I'm frankly encouraged. We are competing. I think the OL will get better. My biggest concern is a crappy WR's. This game will be a good learning experience for the OL, and the defense, both of which have a lot of young talent. If Daboll is as good a coach as I think we will get better.
think it's too early to move Neal to guard, but I'm fine if that's where he eventually ends up because as someone said, we have a real need there as well.
His OL was overwhelmed the whole game and the kid was not shook. Bravo.
He is a gamer. He just isn’t very good. I admire the shit out of Jones for the effort tonight, but I also want a more talented player under center next year. Effort and moxie are the keys to being a top flight NFL QB, no matter how much many of you wish it to be so.
This team needs a complete overhaul on the offensive side of the ball.
RE: RE: And Neal doesn’t look like an OT. Possibly a great Guard though based

I'm sure you said the same thing about our left tackle his rookie season.
I absolutely did not but nice try. When you are playing OT in pass pro, your are playing basketball with your feet and you get to use your hands. Instead of a basket though it’s the QB. This isn’t a technique issue where AT was trying to ride guys outside and getting set up inside (which got fixed by firing our OL coach AlMost immediately). This is a talent issue. How’s a guy gonna fix balance and nimble feet? Tough combo to have on outside and it was part of his scouting report and legit looks like he doesn’t belong.
Some of you guys are so gung ho on position over player you don’t see it. Shit 50 percent of the fanbase thinks Thibs is Myles Garrer incarnate because edge has been so bad. He ain’t that guy….but probably a good lock to be an 8 sack giy a year. I’ll leave my judgement on him setting the edge until he gets that knee healthy though.

Three Engrams....I lol'd
Good to see some of you finally catching up on Crowder
Said this at the end of the game thread - this feels like a 1981 or 1997 team: Bad offense, just enough defense and field goals to win a few games and contend for a playoff spot. Will lose close games they can win, like this one. And win close games they can lose, like the first two games
Thought Kafka didnt have a great game. But he is learning, too. As Eric said, Thibs/Ojulari werent in game shape, and not having Williams in the middle of the line really hurts because Crowder is so bad. Having a decent MLB can pick up some slack for Williams, but ours is the worst in the league
Middle of the OL is not good. Will be destroyed by good lines like Dallas, will be decent vs mediocre lines. Feliciano experiment at center not working out
What is worse, our WR room or our MLB room? Both worst in the NFL
Gotta beat the Bears and get to 3-1
We have to have the worst WR corp in the league, right?
We'll probably have more post-game conversations like these this season than ones that follow a win. A better than .500 record following last season, with this talent, would be coach-of-the-year worthy.
Huge to see this staff how can they react...do they not let it snowball? Can they beat CHI? We need that one.
We need Jaylon Smith to be active and Tony Jefferson as well. We need Leo back and Aaron Robinson. Roll with McFadden and Jaylon at ILB. Enough with Crowder - we can't play Crowder for 17 weeks, there has to be consequences for his ridiculous poor play. He can't keep playing - if he does continue to play snap in snap out everything Daboll stands for is meaningless you earn your playing time.
Get Lemeuix back and move Bredeson to C in a few weeks.
Play slayton and marcus johnson off the PS we need speed at at Wide receiver badly, Sills and KG are too slow. Take some SHOTS!!!
We need to play Barkley more at wide out and get Breida more involved. Become a more ground and pound team please with antonio williams.
Sign a FB and go more I formation/Pistol as well.
Pray Wandale and Toney can get back and get healthy and give them a boost with Shep out.
Even though the trash ass recievers got zero separation. Jones really looked like he was reading the defense better and just operating a tick faster in the entire offense. Would really like to see where it goes with just one decent nfl wr out there.
We'll probably have more post-game conversations like these this season than ones that follow a win. A better than .500 record following last season, with this talent, would be coach-of-the-year worthy.
Won’t have to worry about a +.500 season for the Giants. Ain’t gonna happen. Not nearly enough talent.
-O Line growing pains
-Top pass rushers hurt off season, not getting reps
-lack of deep threat talent at WR, injured WR’s
-lack of depth/talent at positions like LB, TE, DL, CB
And, talent and depth in general were all put to the test in this game.
Dallas just unraveled us tonight & showed all these deficiencies.

Very well said. Just want to add that I thought last week’s Carolina game was a warning sign even though Giants came out of it with a win. It’s just really hard to win in the NFL with zero pass blocking and zero pass rush.
the lack of WR talent is a real issue, but there is a lot of things that need to be cleaned up. The TEs have to be better in their chips, OL needs to set better and some other little things to put some lipstick on the pig.
I will be very interested to see how the new staff gets them ready for the Bears after this showing, especially on a short week.
We are up 13-6. D has been dominant. We let them score 17 straight and we do zero. Its the same old shit
I don’t think that they were “dominant”. They were lucky the Cowboys get penalties like humans take breaths and that Ceedee Lamb is going to drop multiple passes a game. I thought this was the worst game they played by a significant margin due to their inability to stop the run and the constant wide open receivers.
Just a total loser of a player. The fact that he’s still on the roster is a complete indictment of the lack of talent on this team.
I'm starting to wonder at what positions did we upgrade this offseason?
Cash strapped, sure, but we did spend money and we had like 9 draft picks. You'd think, well, with contracts they had to purge they'd be worse at say, 4 positions, and maybe better at 2. Worse overall but better SOMEWHERE. Where are we better?
His OL was overwhelmed the whole game and the kid was not shook. Bravo.

We all want a more talented player under center next year - but where are we finding this player? The draft right now is Stroud and Young (whom many here dont want), with Levis looking bad vs decent teams, and no one else looking like an NFL QB
Jones has no time to throw and WRs who cant get open unless they are schemed open
pretty much the case. I can’t believe all the praise either. He basically looked the same as the UDFA backup qb on the other side.
Oh really? You fucking know nothings let me know when we have actual pass blocking to make a valid assessment. I am so fucking tired of this BS picking Jones apart after every game. It's pretty clear which team had the better OL by a fucking mile. And their DL and receivers are better, and it's not close. It should be pretty fucking obvious after watching the game. They are a better team. And when Jones had time, he made plays. And we were in that game BECAUSE of him, not despite him.
pretty much the case. I can’t believe all the praise either. He basically looked the same as the UDFA backup qb on the other side.
I don't know why people are getting so angry at posts like this. I'm sure a lot of people are ignorant about football.
As Art Stapleton tweeted, it’s possible to believe both that Daniel Jones isn’t/shouldn’t be the future starter of the the team and still give him credit for how he played last night.
Apparently, that’s too tall a hill to climb for some Daniel Jones haters.
Who've never been through the experience of a season before.
The Giants were without their best defensive lineman, and have a rookie OT and three JAGs at the interior OL.
And yet the team was competitive and had a lead late in the game.
It’s a rebuilding year and all anyone should realistically expect is that this team is competitive. Which has been true so far.
The rookies will get better. People on BBI seem to think all rookies should be like Micah Parsons when he’s an outlier. There is a massive step up in the speed, skill, & strength of players at this level and rookies have a learning curve.
Thomas was good. Bredeson was not bad. Fell of a cliff from there. Feliciano is making Pio look like an All Pro He loses position way to easily off the snap. Glowinski was not good but he has a R next to him and Feliciano next to him
Neal I thought would struggle this game and he was bad. Move on to next game
I agree getting Bredeson to C as soon possible will help
pretty much the case. I can’t believe all the praise either. He basically looked the same as the UDFA backup qb on the other side.

Thank you. Just brutal takes. The team has very little offensive talent. It's SB and DJ, that's it. DJ was pressured a record amount last night and has no one to throw to. The Dallas QB, barely pressured and has legit targets.
Daniel Jones was pressured on 24 dropbacks Monday night. Most in NFL this season, per
@ESPNStatsInfo
. Most by a Giants QB since ESPN began tracking pressures in 2009.
Jones now pressured on 40.8% snaps this season, second only to Justin Fields.
Dallas fans are the scum of the earth but everyone knows that already.
The biggest thing I worry about with this team is Thibdeaux, surprisingly. Even in preseason he didn't show much and last night he was pretty quiet. We need him to be good.
OL and WR are obviously a concern, one is easier to fix than another. Still, with the glaring lack of talent on this team, they were competitive.
RE: Is Slayton getting any snaps? He has to be better then what they
That are playing hard and trying to help the team win.Shep is done because he was trying..Stills,James,
Bellinger were out there getting their ass kicked because they were trying..The problem is we have a 72 Million dollar man who can't catch a football for whatever reason..Tony is following in Golladay's footsteps..I have a terrible thought about Golladay..
Could he be hooked on pain killers or something??
He looks like me..I'm 80 yrs old,I don't see as good as I did 2 yrs ago..I can get woozy if I get up from sitting to long..But I think I can catch a football if it's thrown right to me..Don't expect me to run a post pattern or anything..Golladay has forgotten how to catch a football in a game..There has to be a couple of WR's out there on some PS that can help us..

Amusing comment. The biggest concern on this team would be the rookie pass rusher in his first real NFL game after coming off injury? In the history of the NFL very, very few players have come back in their first game after an injury and wreaked havoc, much less rookies in their first real game. Thibodeaux did deflect a pass, something that's not easy to do against a seasoned QB. Give the dude a chance. Geez!
Feel for Jones having been killed behind so many bad lines but it is what it is.
New qb next year.
I almost forgot how much I despise cowgirl fans. Especially in NY.
Both sides LOS
Into an early retirement.
He must have bruises over 99% of his body
New qb next year.
Better fix the o line before you put in a new QB
the new guys need to work on their technique the arrow points up though (IMHO).
WR has to be a priority in April.
Golladay should be gone after this season. Sheperd had a bad night (but doesn't frighten anybody anyway). Toney doesn't seem to be able to get on the field - did he play 1 down tonight?
WR has to be a priority.
Of how bad Giants are.
Wait to Philly gets a hold of Giants
They are salivating
No, he didn't.
DJ really sucked tonight look at that stat line /s
That and overall lack of talent
Too quick on that one....
we need toney wow
its plain to see the lack of talent at WR...
He has got work to do .... Andrew Thomas did not soar as a rookie either.
Neal will get there.
Called it. Someone was gonna make a dumb comment after DJ throws a ball he really doesn’t want to in a must throw situation where we have trash to throw to
Sills fell down. Not DJ's fault.
Can't stand them either.
We are so toast at receiver and tight end I'm not sure how we finish this season.
Are you watching the game? The WR fell down in his cut.
Get off the fence Simms ...
; )
Yes
Quote:
Just lost Sheppard. O boy.
looked like his knee
He didn't even suddenly change direction, if thats an ACL tear which it likely is I don't even know how that happened.
Bizarre.
Can we end this turf experiment?
Giants lack of talent exposed tonight.
No pass protection
No pass rush
Defense collapse all three levels
Giants will be pudding at the Eagles dinner
Gotta feel for him.
Shep didn’t have a good game before that, but Golladay and Toney could learn a thing or two from him about being a pro
We are so toast at receiver and tight end I'm not sure how we finish this season.
What’s a QB going to Do behind that line!
Its all he has to throw to, who else Golladay? Slayton? James?

Yeah. Of all games, this was not on Jones in any way. Running for his life on every pass and receivers either dropping passes or falling down.
Can’t see how Slayton could be any worse at this point.
Did you see the play? The WR slipped.
Daniel Jones was our best player out there tonight.
DJ really sucked tonight look at that stat line /s
Golladay is like…. You’re loving me now aren’t you!
Let's hope JS figures out you need that to win in this division. Perimeter game doesn't cut it. Been down that road before.
Get to work JS.
But i would love to see Jones with proper talent around him.
Boy has guts.
Not even close. Honestly we should move on if we like someone in this class, but I hope DJ signs with the Colts and takes them to promised land.
Worst part is we will have to play KG. Or Toney figures it out

Actually if he doesn’t slip that would have been a perfectly dropped pass.
That was a tough loss. But we had chances. Can be 3-1 next week after beating a shit bears team. This isnt a good team, there will be days like this
Yea should target James or Bellinger- you know- those future hall of famers
Giants lack of talent exposed tonight.

I warned you guys. You can't miss all of camp and the preseason and just play. Our two top edge rushers are not ready for the season. Combine that with Leonard Williams being out.
To me, this is a moral victory.
No reason not to cut 19 tomorrow.
Golliday has lost all confidence
Suck it he is not the issue dumbass
That's exactly what it reminded me of. Except the Cowboys weren't cheering the injury like Philly's players and fans were.

Fair point.

Yea should target James or Bellinger- you know- those future hall of famers
I'd take Bellinger, sure. Made more plays than Sills this year.
Didn't realize how many stupid Giant fans we have almost as stupid as the Eagle fans
Or ran himself out of a play. Extremely uninspiring play.
You seriously want the Giants to sign Antonio Brown? You must be as crazy as he is
And yet Wink seems to like him… for some reason.

Yes
Yet Aikman and Buck spent about .0001 seconds on that. Whole night was about Dallas' injuries.
I’d sign for 4-4 at the bye.

The real alpha edge guys would have shown something against a super poor pass pro OL.
Thibs will probably be fine, but people here act like we got Myles Garret reincarnate and everyone just passed because he was a name. Meanwhile dude that did go number 1 overall looks like an actual freak.
Obviously Golladay, Toney, and Robinson don’t seem to be able to get on the field….
Disappointed in the D. Seems everything rests on the shoulders of Jones and Barkley to produce. Should be the D winning or losing for us. Did the Dallas D make it to 20 pressures ;(
To me, this is a moral victory.
I feel good about the coaching staff. If the front office can find them players, I think the future will be right.
Processes not results are the key this year. They simply don’t have enough talent as of now to expect many wins.
Zero. I swear we didn't hurry a single throw. Thibs and Ojulari completely invisible. Incredible.

I'm sure you said the same thing about our left tackle his rookie season.
If Shep is out, we really are thin at the position, especially because you can't count on the Apathy Asses - Golladay and Toney.
Jones was running for his life the entire night. He played very well.
Neal and KT were disappointing, but both are rookies and KT is likely still recovering from his injury.
Barkley, Jackson, and Gano also played well.
Shitty game
Seriously, one tough loss and this is how some of you respond..
It's a rebuild and it is far from over because of cap shit (KG), a lame duck QB and absolutely nothing at WR!!
Thibs and Azeez were invisible
Barkley, Thomas and Jones are only one on offense with enough talent.
Evan Neal… that was ugly. I’m not even sure that Thomas was that bad as a rookie.
The play-calling at the end of the half was atrocious and almost bit them in the ass. The Cowboys were giving them the first down and the sideline, but they’re running slants.
Barkley needed to get the ball more often.
He’s a rookie offensive tackle and he’s going to have ups and downs in year 1
I didn’t see the out coached. We hung in. Saw the outplayed and out talented.
I was thinking the same thing. Did he even get a snap tonight?

Agreed.. If a contender loses a QB I would offer up Jones. We need picks to go with our cap space next year.
Sorry you missed the game, but you can catch the highlights
Agree. A beatable team.
We won 2 close, low scoring games. We lost 1. The games themselves weren't that different.
That's just who we are right now. We're not good this year. It's OK. We're not supposed to be good this year.
Slayton was out there, did nothing.. He and KG are clearly not liked by this staff.

He will have ups and downs, but so far he has had no ups. His pass protection through three games has been laughably bad. He is sometimes barely touching the guys running past him.
Just a total loser of a player. The fact that he’s still on the roster is a complete indictment of the lack of talent on this team.

+2. We weren't outcoached. Our roster is just demonstrably inferior to the Cowboys. More than 70% of their players are their draft picks. They have drafted extremely well. We have not.

Neither of them can separate. None of our WRs can. That is why Jones is holding the ball for so long on so many plays.
Yes. I really wonder if he had been drafted by a team with a decent OL how he would have developed.

I agree with this and I'm frankly encouraged. We are competing. I think the OL will get better. My biggest concern is a crappy WR's. This game will be a good learning experience for the OL, and the defense, both of which have a lot of young talent. If Daboll is as good a coach as I think we will get better.

That was a tough loss. But we had chances. Can be 3-1 next week after beating a shit bears team. This isnt a good team, there will be days like this
There are quite a few posters who come across as lacking the mental toughness required for success in the arena of athletics.
Hopefully in their real lives outside of their fandom, they aren’t so easily defeated.
Was a sign of bad things to come.
They came tonight in spades.
No pass rush
No pass protection
No WRs
Hold onto your hats. It’s a steep drop down from here.

Three Engrams....I lol'd
Gotta beat the Bears and get to 3-1
I mean, holy SHIT. Emphasis on shit.
TE corp...not any better.
The Interior OL is also scary bad. This offense is far away from being a functional offense it's not even funny.
That may have been his last game as a NY Giant.
Or, it’s just another signal that this may be another ugly season for the Giants and another Top 5 to 7 draft choice.
Unfortunate turnover at the end with a bare glimmer of hope left, and we lose someone valuable for the year at some point in the game.
Jones played his heart out.
Ugh I fucking hate Dallas. I fucking hate Dave Gettleman. I fucking hate seeing Shep go down like that. Fuck Golladay, Fuck Toney, Fuck Jerruh
In theory, yes. That said, Dallas still has a better roster overall and it was pretty obvious.

Won’t have to worry about a +.500 season for the Giants. Ain’t gonna happen. Not nearly enough talent.

I will be very interested to see how the new staff gets them ready for the Bears after this showing, especially on a short week.
So, there’s the positive spin!
that was one pick I never got....all I heard is about his first step....
I thought jones played well. He showed me something that I think a good team would have capitalized on.

all in one night.
I don’t think that they were “dominant”. They were lucky the Cowboys get penalties like humans take breaths and that Ceedee Lamb is going to drop multiple passes a game. I thought this was the worst game they played by a significant margin due to their inability to stop the run and the constant wide open receivers.
The lack of pass rush certainly didn’t seem k

Cash strapped, sure, but we did spend money and we had like 9 draft picks. You'd think, well, with contracts they had to purge they'd be worse at say, 4 positions, and maybe better at 2. Worse overall but better SOMEWHERE. Where are we better?
I thought jones played well. He showed me something that I think a good team would have capitalized on.

We all want a more talented player under center next year - but where are we finding this player? The draft right now is Stroud and Young (whom many here dont want), with Levis looking bad vs decent teams, and no one else looking like an NFL QB
Jones has no time to throw and WRs who cant get open unless they are schemed open

As Art Stapleton tweeted, it’s possible to believe both that Daniel Jones isn’t/shouldn’t be the future starter of the the team and still give him credit for how he played last night.
Apparently, that’s too tall a hill to climb for some Daniel Jones haters.
Neal I thought would struggle this game and he was bad. Move on to next game
I agree getting Bredeson to C as soon possible will help

Thank you. Just brutal takes. The team has very little offensive talent. It's SB and DJ, that's it. DJ was pressured a record amount last night and has no one to throw to. The Dallas QB, barely pressured and has legit targets.
@ESPNStatsInfo
. Most by a Giants QB since ESPN began tracking pressures in 2009.
Jones now pressured on 40.8% snaps this season, second only to Justin Fields.
Yeah he was out there. He gets no separation and isn’t a guy you can throw it up to.
We really need Toney and Wandale at this point.

Geez!
