When I saw him trot out on the first drive, I simply dropped my head in disbelief. And yet he fell leading to the game sealing INT. What another bad loss on prime time.
Get out of cap hell and continue to draft well.
This is a rebuild with a talentless roster. This team is ahead of schedule at 2-1.
Relax, it is not cursed unless you consider the bad decisions of the last 6 years a curse.

Exactly.
On the postgame show Toomer discussed Sills falling down
I thought he would bail him out and blame it on conditions, turf, etc. Nope. "Bad form, basically...that's the last thing as a WR you can allow to happen."
It is pathetic that he was starting. Hopefully at some point this year our two high draft pick WRs actually get on the field. But again Sills was our starter tonight.
playing against Big 12 corners, but he simply is not an NFL receiver.
He doesn't have the speed or suddenness to separate from NFL corners, and is too wiry to win with physicality.
I'm not sure there is anything in his skillset that I would even consider average. Maybe his feel for the soft spots in zone coverage (as a former QB)? But at that point, why not just put Tyrod out there at WR.

Yep I heard that. P Dots gave Sills a huge pass in the postgame interview…he didn’t even address that last play.

Sills is 27 years old and been in the league for years he is not a starting WR but he might be the best we have at this point.

Yet he gets enough separation for Jones to throw to him.

Agreed. And the fact that he is starting shows we have nothing at WR.
That was huge…..even Troy Aikman was totally impressed with Jones’ throw under….guess what….serious pressure. Shep caught it and then he didn’t…..that really hurt.
Oh well, if your best player screws up, why would I expect our worst player (Sills) to play big?

Brutal.
Otherwise great post.
Sure did
I agree.
Slayton was on the field plenty last night. Which of his great plays makes you think he should be playing over sills?

Daboll is going to be put into a position where he's going to have to give guys PT that he doesn't think have earned it because they have no choice.
Sills had a whopping 2 rec for 20 yards last night. He's not exactly a world beater.
Slayton is the only deep threat that is currently healthy. Might as well give him a shot and actually factor him into the gameplan.
