what if I told you a month ago giants would be 2-1 after 3 weeks, and we were in all 3 games? would you take that? pretty sure you ALL would. No need to point the finger after tonight.
This is not a championship team, its a retooling/rebuilding one. Jones is a tough SOB. All the questions we had about Barkley pre-season appear to be put to bed. Schematically, Wink has hid the giants warts on defense so far.
I've watched every giants game the past 5 years and this is the hardest they have played as a team. This staff has identified some really nice role players like Richie James and Jihad Ward.
We just added Azeez, Thibs and will be getting back Arob, Wandall and most importantly Leo.
Chin up giants fans, its been way worse in the past and the boys are playing hard, given the cap situation Schoen inherited thats all I can ask for.
But I see a team with a huge talent void that will probably picking top 5-7 in next year’s draft.
So many holes still to fill
After tonight, I wouldn’t put QB on that list, unless you’re expecting Daniel Jones to simultaneously block for himself while he’s passing the ball downfield to himself.

But this team is seriously deficient at quite a few positions. There is reason for optimism that we're doing as well as we are given the lack of talent at certain positions (QB, WR, TE, IOL, ILB, CB...), but there's only so far we can go without quality starters.

It certainly is. A) One game doesn't change anything; and B) DJ is in a contract year.

its ok to cheer for Jones but we all know he's gone after this year. They def need a QB next year. I hope he gets a job and does good somewhere else

I pretty much resigned myself to Jones being gone once Schoen didn’t pick up his option. At this stage I just wish Daniel Jones doesn’t continue to be mauled the way Dallas mauled him tonight.

I hope DJ wins a Super Bowl this year
I thought the Carolina game in particular exposed the Giants, especially its horrid pass blocking.
How can that happen with zero pass rush, zero pass protection and a talent void all up and down the roster, starting at WR?

There's so much parity in the league that play in general kind of sucks. We're actually not that much worse than some of these other teams. The league is just built for mediocrity. We can get lucky and make the playoffs this year. The league is designed that way.

Look at every other roster with your demands for perfection at every spot and you'll be making a lot of the same comments.
Get those results.
Not one WR would start.....most are PS guys
OL, WR, pass rush, etc, it is remarkable that the Giants had possession and a chance to win in the last two minutes.
Also, our Safety tandem is just such a big factor. It really limits the number of big plays the opponents make.
I hope Schoen is already talking to Love’s agents about extending him.

Agree. Love and McKinney are playing quite well.
