...and really wasn't that good 2 years ago. In fact, he was pretty terrible at pass blocking, which is what the Giants need right now.
Even if he comes back soon, I don't see him changing anything.
By the time he does, if he does, he will be so far behind and rusty it will be a non factor. Peart on the other hand might be ready sooner and who knows what that means but, if he can play some guard that would be an interesting development.

Smart, tough, dependable. Smart aside, Peart is neither of the others. His OL coach last year essentially called him a pussy. If he's not tough enough to play tackle, why would he be good at playing the more physical position of guard?
RE: That could be the only thing in all of medicine, huh?
No. Not by a long shot.

Most likely....could take a while. That's not a fun injury. Hopefully, he's getting close.

I heard on local radio one of the hosts say something to the affect he’s not even close to returning but there were no facts or source to support it.

Not turf toe.The BBI poster who broke the news of Lemieux's patellar injury last year said this injury was foot fracture requiring surgery.
Very possible that it was the lisfranc/Jones fracture.
