Giants had just burned 1 timeout, and looking at the replays it most likely would not have been overturned, which would have cost them another timeout. What did you guys think?
what did was when Daboll went for it on that 4th and 2 end of the half and gave Dallas a shot at stealing points there. HE got a little lucky, but to be fair we should have gotten the 4th and 2.
Also, his lack of a plan that helps protect Jones was alarming but sometimes it doesn't matter what you do.
They could have challenged the play. Why did they need to burn one there? Should have been no surprise that the Cowboys were going given where they were on the field.
it was pretty clear on replay that the spot would stand
Given the magnitude of the situation, I felt the challenge should have come out immediately. Had the challenge been successful, Giants likely hold on to win. The fact that the Cowboys rushed the next play tells me they didn't want it reviewed. In my opinion it was worth the gamble and I was yelling at the tv for Daboll to throw the flag.

Going for the 4th and 2 was the right play given the time left but we ran the wrong play. you have to run a play there that takes 5/6 seconds so the cowboys only have one play left. i would have rolled jones out giving him a run pass option with the instruction to just throw it away deep if nothings there.

That was the right call to go for it. 10 seconds left. Giants ran a stupid play that wasn’t 50/50. Quick slant wastes 3-4 seconds. Stupid play call. You go with a regular play call and worse case there’s 2-3 seconds left on the clock. If you complete the pass timeout FG attempt. If you don’t. Turnover on down they have one shot at a Hail Mary. Going was the absolute right call. No doubt about it. Play call was especially stupid

The playcall and game management was bad. Ten seconds left. You want to make sure they can't run two plays. Last thing you should do is a quick slant.
You either get the ball to Bark, throw a pass downfield or have Jones roll out. A play that gets you in FG range if successful and burns 7 seconds if not successful.
I said it in the game thread and postgame thread but
I think the Giants failed to run the ball when they had a number of opportunities to do so. I think it changed the outcome of the game. They were way too reliant on the pass.
I said last night that Kafka didnt have a good game

He was knocked backawards while in the air, but forward progress would have given him the first down I beleive

Same Greg, his forward progress clearly made the line to gain.
