Thomas still PFF's #1 LT after week 3 by decent margin

Eric on Li : 9/27/2022 11:37 am

pretty impressive given the talent he was up against yesterday and the fact that he was probably mostly left on an island. here's a blurb from PFF's recap of last night's game.

Quote:
Offensive line spotlight: The Giants' offensive line stood out in the worst way, as it was charged with three sacks and 16 pressures allowed. Giants tackle Andrew Thomas was the only Giants offensive lineman who graded adequately well, as he allowed just three pressures across 49 pass-blocking snaps.

Even more impressive

Amen to that! I wish we could clone this young man and fill our entire O-Line with Andrew Thomas clones! (:-)
He had some bad reps

That Sewell, highly touted coming out of the draft, was a train wreck early on in his first season.

Food for thought, which is probably cause and effect, but there's absolutely no reason to attack Thomas when the right side of the line is a fast lane to a sack or pressure.

He's a big part of that, but you can see the gameplan is to attack Neal and make the Giants take a TE or RB out of the route.

That’s like saying Deion sanders didn’t have a lot of completions against him bc no one threw at him.
