After last night's frustrating loss, let's talk about fantasy football waiver pickup as a distraction.
I ended up losing by 10 points after I lost D.Montgomery and saw K.Herbert on my bench racking up points. At 2-1 (currently 4th out of 12) but leading in total points so far.
There have been flurry of trades happening in my league since the winless teams are getting desperate to make changes hoping to spark a win or two.
Currently, my roster for Week 4 looks like (after several trades):
QB: J.Allen
RB: A.Ekeler, K.Herbert
WR: S.Diggs, C.Sutton
TE: T.Kelce
Flex: C.Edmunds
SuperFlex: D.Jones
Bench: M.Stafford, D.Montgomery, D.Henderson, A.Robinson, 2 x empty spots
I've put in bids for:
R.Doubs
M.Hollins
S.Perine
Any other potential pickups out there that people are gravitating towards?
Also, pulling the plug on Okwuegbunam. I am fortunate to be 3 - 0 in the league where I have him, but getting a basic 0 from the TE position can't continue.
Last night I was up 17 and all my players were done, my opponent had Zeke. After the TD I thought I was cooked, but they use Pollard a lot and fortunately did on the last drive. One pass to Zeke for 10 yards or 20 garbage yards and I was done. Chalk one up to luck.
That's good to know. Thanks. I had only put down 5 out of my remaining 95 (out of original 100). I'll take that off now.
TE is the most frustrating position. Anyone not named Kelce or Andrews are basically question marks.
I almost feel like I shouldn't waste resources on the TE spot and just roll with Okwuegbunam because it's such a shallow position. Right now it's Kelce and Andrews (and one owner has both in this league) and then a big block of similarly reliable TEs (for now at least)
After those two, the next 20 or so TE's in my league are just about within 15 points of each other after 3 weeks.
Giants vs Bears
Cardinals @ Panthers
Rams @ 49ers
I'm leaning Rams especially with a banged up 49er OL and run game.
I am also looking to upgrade D. I have the Ravens, and they have been putting up double digit points, but it's because of TD's and turnovers/sacks - they are giving up a ton of points.
GB is available and for the first time in a long time I may use FAAB funds on a D/ST. Their bye isn't until week 14 and other than a game vs BUF if they can avoid major injuries they have a pretty good D/ST schedule.
I would have to drop TE Shultz or one my current WRs to get him. I generally don't like making changes after a few weeks, but Mooney/Dotson seem avg right now.

I think he's worth picking up. He's not available in either of my leagues. seems like you have small benches though if those are the only players you have to drop. Schultz will be a valuable TE once he's healthy. Who is your other TE?
and while Olave might upgrade Dotson, I like Dotson too.
Zay Jones - 24 tgts last 3 games
Doubs - 16 tgts 3 games
McKenzie - 15 tgts 3 games
Anyone on this list the real deal or just a seasonal flash in the pan?

Doubs has the highest upside IMO.

I picked up irv Smith to fill in for Shultz, obviously I'd keep smith until Shultz is 100%
It's a super flex league and I'm carrying 4 QBs (Cousins,Winston, Burrow, Trubisky), I can drop a QB, but since they are gold in this league I'm hoarding them since some teams only have 2, and there are zero QBs on WW.
thx for reply

TE - Tyler Conklin had tgts of 7, 9, 8 in his last three, I've had my eye on him if I need a TE

I think Zay Jones might be the best season long followed by Doubs. Pederson is getting Lawrence comfortable and he looks great, Zay and Kirk should produce points all season. Doubs is the most reliable WR their at the moment, but will likely be frustrating to play week ti week as most GB players are.
I got a waiver question. I have Swift and Najee as my top 2 RBs. With Swift injury should I burn my #1 waiver on Mattison? My backup RBs are Hines, and a bunch of dart throws ( Rachaad White, BRob, Pacheco). Haven’t been able to swing and trade deals and probably won’t as I’m in first place by a pretty good margin (70 points over the next team)
