Who are the top 2023 Free agent guards expected available?

NJBlueTuna : 9/27/2022 2:01 pm
I cannot see us getting a top FA WR, even with cap flexibility, they are just too expensive and will address through the draft along with CB.

here some

dalton risner (Broncos)
Ben Powers (ravens)

We need at least one guard through FA

With more money, I don't see Schoen buying big in FA.

Smaller, perhaps short contracts I see happening.
Seumalo from Philly

is a good one and one I would love see the Giants pursue. A few other young ones that would make sense are David Edwards and Wyatt Davis.
I’d rather build the OL through the draft

The track record, not just ours, of free agent interior guys is not that strong. Look at the Bengals so far this year. We have a couple of prospects on the roster now, continue to build the pipeline. I think a mid tier WR is on the table in free agency. Not a guy looking for his first big contract but a guy with a few years in the tank coming off his big second contract or a cap casualty off that deal.
We have guys returning from injury

and a rookie who will get more playing time soon.

We really need a Center.
My guess is they go

draft for guard and center. Ezeudu will probably be playing more by the end of the season.

I doubt they go heavy FA next season. Maybe some mid level guys on smallish contracts.

They actually still won’t have a ton of cap space, especially considering the amount of holes that need to be plugged

I think there is a different approach that the Giants should take then what the Bengals took if they decide to upgrade through FA. Go after young up and coming or stabilized FAs.

We could have a center returning from injury.
