Starting lineups for today - 9/27/22 - Marlins at Mets
.

The remaining injury issue to still be concerned with is Marte's. Rumors were that he'd be back for the Braves series, but IMHO I don't see it in the cards. Be that as it may, the Mets are fully capable and SHOULD win these next two games at home vs. the Marlins before another off-day on Thursday. There's no Alcantara this series, so no reason not to take both of these critical games. Here are the starting pitcher matchups for them both:
Mets' Probable Starting Pitcher matchups for this series

Here are the Starting pitchers in the Braves @ Nationals matchup going on at just about the same time as the Mets-Marlins game in Queens in about two hours:
Let's go Nats again today (obviously another story next week). Here are some other articles to check out before gametime:

_1. Totally agree Eric.
Taking their opponents lightly and not working their game plans.

To get a win over a team that is 36 games under .500? Afetr getting swept by Chicago 2 weeks ago, how does this happen again?
Taking their opponents lightly and not working their game plans.
Pennant race pressure that they haven't felt before
I would seriously consider pitching Diaz in the 10th

+1. Totally agree Spike. They've started swinging too early and freely in the count, not taking enough pitches, not making pitchers work hard enough.

In WA, bottom 10th, still tied, 2-2. Wa at bat, no outs, runner on 2nd.

Now runners on 1st and 3rd, no outs, WA still at bat. Good chance here for WA to walk off win.

Another complete choke by Pete and Lindor.

With you all the way on this one. Does anyone think Smith will get the job done here? And two big chokes by Pete and Lindor

(Cap tip)
[quote] They seemed DEAD in the water tonight.
+1 totally agree Speedy. To me, they showed some balls. They did seem dead to me also.
Great win.
1 win gives the Mets the tiebreaker, so if they then sweep the Nats they win the division
2 wins means only 1 win needed vs Nats to win the divison
A sweep wins the division
get swept and they need help to win the division

Yes it was.
It’s right in front of them, they control their own destiny.
Maybe they wanted to give Max an extra day? Dunno.
I would have gone Jake, Bassitt and Max

let him fuckin pitch.
I watched the videos several times. For the life of me, I didn't see anythuing to warrant 1 balk, let alone 3.
If he stopped, it was barely. And when he "stopped" his glove, as Darling said last night, was always roaming around and never still
Were they balks? They were borderline and usually never called
