NFT: Murphy Beds

Big Al : 9/28/2022 11:16 am
Thinking of getting a Murphy Bed for the living room rather than having guests sleep on the couch. Also for nights where Mrs. Big Al kicks me out for not being able to deal with the annoying me.

Anyone have experience with these beds, and places to purchase and install in the Bergen County area?

If answering, please specify if you are pro or anti Daniel Jones so I can consider how much faith I can put in your response.

Big Al, I recently purchased the one linked below. No installation and simple assembly. The mattress is comfortable too. I'm very happy with it.

folds up. When I got married, in 1970, we had a Murphy bed as our main bed. It was a regular full-frame mattress on a boxspring, attached to the wall with a hinge that allowed it to stand up during the day. We installed a curtain to hide it during the day. Our young neice came over one day, looked behind the curtain and asked if we sleep standing up

but I slept in one while in Disney. Pretty nice and comfortable. A friend of our built one in her guest room and book shelves around it so it looked like it was furniture.

I am interested as well for a guest room.
