Bull rush looked good, he showed a really good swim move and a rip move with a spin. Not bad for a first NFL game against a plus OL, and 4-5 weeks after an MCL injury. He'll figure out when to use what rush techniques, and start to put it together.
Boy -- the Cowbpoke really turned the tables on Wink
with this team. KT and Neal are not on that list yet. They are rookies and will grow into their roles. Being drafted in the top 10 does not mean you do not have a lot to learn when making the jump to the NFL.
but more than once I saw him blocked by a WR. Shouldn't happen even for a rookie playing his first game when he was supposed to be an all-world draft pick.

It’s crazy one player on the roster gets non stop excuses for years, and one guy isn’t allowed any after 1 game of his career.
debut from KT. Did not expect much. I am hoping he will be available and more seasoned come this Thanksgiving against Dallas. Same for Azeez. LW should hopefully be healthy by then. I’m looking forward to thank game with better health and availability with these guys.
To the party……his first pro ball game against a quality drafted offense, kicking the giants asses with their backup qb. At times he looked like DG drafted him.
and Rush looks to be a pretty good QB - he is 3-0 as a starter. Having said that, the game was 13-13 going to the 4th quarter. This without Williams and Robinson being available. The last FG they got was the result of a punt return. Giving up 20 points is not getting your ass kicked.
Stats were basically even, and would have been if not for a horrid OPI call. First downs, passing yards, rushing yards.
RE: Mostly quick routes and/or play side was away from him

Did he look better at bull-rushing than the other guys who've tried using that as their main technique?
He looked like a guy whos not in football shape just yet. He didnt have his typical burst. He seemed to play a little hesitant, almost unsure of what he was asked to do. It appeared like hes overthinking. I expect him to be a different player by the baltimore game. He needs some more time to ramp up and get into football shape....as a side i thought ojulari was very bad outside of forcing a holding call.
It's been more than that. Both he and Ojulari were hurt before they were hurt. They missed almost all of the summer.

I don't think people realize how important the "ramp up" process is for players entering the season. That goes double for rookies.
Kayvon hasn't been able to get into a rhythm because of all the dings that have kept him out.
Who knows how good he'll end up, but judging him too much for his debut effort is foolish.
I'm not sure the Bears can take advantage of this -- but Green Bay, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Indiana and the Eagles surely can
No burst, no closing speed, his body looks completely out of control. Minimal pass rush moves.
Hopefully he gets in game shape soon.
But it's a fact.

Both looked rusty especially with awareness, both blew setting the edge multiple times, Ojulari looked rather lost out there in general.

All good (so far). Appreciate the well wishes!
