NFT: Fantasy Football - 9/29 TNF

UConn4523 : 9/29/2022 9:24 am
in my first pickle of the season in regards of "who to start" with the injuries settling in. Below is who I have in now and I'm open to changing those where I provided their matchup. The TNF and early Sunday games are making it a challenge.

QB - Jackson
WR - Deebo / Pittman
RB - Najee Harris / Edmonds @ Cincy (tonight)
FLEX - Metcalf
FLEX - Mattison @ NO (Sunday morning)
TE - Thomas
Kicker - Maher

Bench Options:
Damien Harris @ GB
Josh Palmer @ Houston
Olave vs Minny (Sunday morning, very enticing if 1 of Thomas/Landry sit)
Herbert @ Giants (will 100% swap him if Monty doesn't play and still might if he does)

Justice Hill and Kenneth Walker are also on the bench but wouldn't consider them this week.
I also have...
RC in MD : 9/29/2022 11:53 am : link
C.Edmonds and will be starting him as my Flex, but I'm not a fan of that move. My concern is more with A.Mattison, how sure are you that A.Mattison will get enough touches to make him a better option than K.Herbert even if D.Montgomery starts? You may have to start K.Herbert in the place of A.Mattison in your Flex, but at least you will know early if A.Mattison is worth starting.
I've actually updated since posting
UConn4523 : 9/29/2022 11:56 am : link
currently Sitting Edmonds for Mattison (and will swap in Herbert if Cook plays) and added Olave to my 2nd FLEX. I think i'm ok with the points disparity potential sitting Edmonds for Mattison/Herbert. Will probably change my mind again before tonight, haha.
I need to decide on my lineup this week:
RC in MD : 9/29/2022 12:06 pm : link
.5 PPR

Current lineup:
QB: J.Allen
RB: A.Ekeler, C.Edmonds
WR: S.Diggs, C.Sutton
TE: T.Kelce
Flex: K.Herbert
SuperFlex: M.Stafford

Bench: D.Jones, D.Montgomery, D.Henderson, S.Perine, A.Robinson, Z.Jones

Do I keep C.Edmonds in as my RB for tonight's game? Or not play him this week and go with K.Herbert as my RB and one of the others like Z.Jones or A.Robinson as my Flex? Or go totally safe and double up on the Bears RBs and keep K.Herbert as my RB and put D.Montgomery as the Flex?

I'm with you. I can't trust C.Edmonds at this point since he mainly salvage last week's shitty performance by getting those two short TDs.
with Monty and Herbert you have to go that route IMO
UConn4523 : 9/29/2022 12:09 pm : link
we won't have Leonard Williams on Sunday, we will be letting up some big runs, IMO.

Why would you use Edmonds in your flex? It’s best not to lock in your flex position before the weekend even starts, you’d be better off putting him at RB and swapping whoever else your starting on Sunday to flex. Locking in a RB spot on a Thursday game leaves you more flexibility in your flex over the weekend if something unexpected we’re to happen between now and then. Always want to leave your flex open as long as possible, imo. But maybe that’s just me, who knows

I changed up my roster after this post, as you can see from my follow-up post where I moved C.Edmonds to my RB position. But I've now removed C.Edmonds altogether.
Would you guys play

The Rams D vs the 49ers O or the 49ers D vs the Rams O

What about Chase Edmonds vs Tony Pollard for this week?

I'm going Rams D even on the road. SF's OL is banged up, along with their RB's.

Edmonds vs Pollard is a bit of a coinflip. Edmonds can pop any week IMO and Pollard's ceiling is what it is until Zeke gets injured.

I have a mess of WR's right now.. no idea who to start @ WR3. I have Evans and AJ Brown but I have to choose between Bateman, Zay Jones, Dortch, Mack Hollins or Mooney.

I could also flex one of those guys in place of Miles Sanders who I have there right now.

Edmonds is on the bench, I don't plan on using him tonight. Especially because I already have Mixon going and would prefer less TNF plays if I can control it.
McCaffrey is listed as Questionable for Sunday
US1 Giants : 9/29/2022 6:26 pm : link
if he can't play then Chase Edmonds would be my best option to activate from my bench. Wish that the Dolphins were not playing until Sunday. I have to gamble that McCaffrey will play Sunday.

Bateman has the higher floor; better QB, high scoring offense, PT/Snaps...but the Bills D is really good and he's been hit or miss going back to last season. Hasn't seen the # of targets this season you'd think for how many points that O has put up.

I like Zay as a WR3/bench/filler option with a decent floor until he puts up a more consistent PPG. I wouldn't trust Hollins yet, especially in a game that may be low scoring/defense oriented. Mooney..wouldn't play him over any of the others.

Dortsch is interesting while the Cards WR core is thin and looks like more of that this week. The Panthers may be susceptible to big WR plays. They had a bunch of broken coverages vs the Giants that DJ didn't capitalize on, and the Saints absolutely torched them last week.

I'd say Bateman vs Dortsch is the choice. Could see Dortsch having a game but Bateman would be the safer pick. Ravens and Bills could end up trading scores.

Well Edmonds for a second straight week salvaged his day with a TD but it’s clear at this point Moestert is the rb1 in that offense

Yes, I really don't like him for anything more than a must play option. My RBs are super thin right now with Taylor, Pollard, him, and the Bills rookie

That's basically my lean at this point.. Bateman or Dortch. I'm probably going to stick with Bateman, but I believe Rondale Moore is still out and Dortch has been seeing a pretty healthy target share in the meantime - I'm pretty tempted to go with him just because Arizona is throwing so much.

I just know if I sit Bateman, he'll have a big game though.

What a disappointment he’s been. Can’t wait until I have to bring him off my bench and he doesn’t find the endzone.
He’s been disappointing
UConn4523 : 9/30/2022 11:35 am : link
but keep in mind it’s a new run scheme for him and Mostert can’t stay healthy. I think he’s a good buy low candidate right now.

Yeah, I'm an Edmonds owner who is already flexing Miles Sanders over him but I think he's going to eventually have solid value in that offense.

If I didn't have him I'd probably be looking to get him for cheap.
