Through three games last season, the Giants scored 56 points (18.7 points/game) -- the exact total so far in 2022. The 2021 team ended up with the NFL's second worst total for the season -- 258 points (15.2 points per game.)
I'm taking it on faith that this year's team will do better since:
(1) Saquon Barkley is back doing his magic tricks with the ball
(2) And Daniel Jones is playing full time, whereas last season we got a wee too much of Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm
(3) The Giants (at least on paper) have an easier schedule
(4) They also have a better overall offensive plan with Mike Kafka calling the plays
(5) The Giants defense this season should be able to get the ball back to the offense more often
But then again, perhaps the Giants point total won't look that much different than last season:
(1) Their WR unit is an unmitigated disaster with no relief in sight
(2) Defenses will focus their attention 100% on the only player who can make a difference -- Saquon Barkley
(3) As much as we thought the Giant O-line would do better in protection, that doesn't seem to be the case so far; indeed, the pass protection almost looks worse letting up twice the number of sacks than last season
So, what's your guess on the Giants final 2022-point total? I "think" they can maintain their current 18.7 average, which would lead to a final point total of 318 by season's end.
Familiarity with the system...being a work in progress, and that goes for every player on the field.
I think that the expectation is they average better than 18.x over 17 games. If they don't then what would Daboll and Kafka have to say for themselves?
17^2 sounds about right for the full season.

They would say can you get me a new QB and maybe a few playmakers that actually want to play...
It's 3 games in to a new offense and it looks better than the product we put on the field than last year, I mean we haven't taken a knee on 3rd down yet to set up a punt.
I don't gamble, but there are prop bets on everything it seems like. What do the sports books say?
Maybe should have kept Shurmur and just replaced his assistants.
