Daboll Hill and Waddle and they'd be so explosive.
Instead both their top receivers are either injured all the time or dropping passes.
It helps to have a QB who is quick, decisive, deadly accurate in short and med area, which Tua does much better than Jones.
Tua didn't look so deadly accurate and decisive last year, did he. He dinked and dunked all year. Coaching matters as does talent around him. My post wasn't even relative to Jones but to the offense Daboll and Kafka want to employ. You can't with dipshits as your top WRs. Some fans aren't patient enough to wait and see how things unravel. Hell some were bitching thar Andrew Thomas gave up a few pressures and he's the top rated OT in football.

Tua had some very encouraging moments last season, and bad moments as well. The coach hated him. I think I was the only person on this board that did not abandon Tua last season. He has always possessed elite accuracy. In college and in the pros. He had very good accuracy last season. Tua got better from year 1 to year 2. And now better from year 2 to year 3. That is what you must see from your young QB. I don't think he is a definite future top-10 guy but he is on his way at the moment.

He looks better because he’s been given a HUGE weapon at WR.
So are other said quarterbacks. It makes sense to see what you have with additions to the roster of high prices free agent talent.
If you think the skill positions stink now just imagine what it would be like when you have to extend Jones for millions with no cap space for much else.
And doesn’t rule out the fact that Jones might not be as good as Tua or other QBs even with better support. Really extending Jones sounds like it would be a disaster.
I'm guessing a concussion from the bang into the ground
NFL better pray that nothing comes out about last week as he looks out (like boxer or mma out) and that would be two weeks in a row where he had a "questionable" injury..
Bridgewater coming in and Thompson the rookie is active..
RE: I'm guessing a concussion from the bang into the ground
Yeah, it's like an epileptic fit. Which is most common after multiple concussions. Which means he most likely had one last week and Miami knew it but ignored the issue
Really did a bang up job letting him come back last week and play tonight. Maybe they can tamper again and get Aaron Rodgers in the off season. Scum bags

yes, if this is serious, that entire management needs to be called to the carpet.

With their starting qb showing the signs of a concussion last week, now in front of a national audience, he suffers a spasticity seizure……i guess its all in paying the price, working for these 32 billion dollar franchises……
Tua was allowed to come back into the game last week
Indeed. Higgins looked exactly like Golladay when he was going well in Detroit. It was the first thing I thought, big size downfield threat, contested catch guy.
RE: RE: Tua was allowed to come back into the game last week
And now he makes the enormous error to play Tua on a short week. Awful.
If a player is cleared by the medical staff, how is that on the coach.
True. Although on a short week is it worth risking it regardless of what the medical staff says?
Being honest Sean. If I m the coach, and the medical people tell me he s ok, I play him. My job is to run the team and win, not make decisions that are not in my lane
I don’t think it s fair to blame it he HC here. Just my opinion

He is either cleared or he is not cleared. There is no hedging. If the MD says he is good to go, he is good to go. That is why the league went to independent MDs. We know there were teams that fudged reports. The NFL was sued. The clearance is solely in the hands of and outside source.
It is a violent sport. I find it hard to believe that virtually every player doesn't get a concussion every game.

Coach is not to blame at all unless the player or someone knowledgeable says to the coach that the doctor is wrong for some reason. Otherwise, he is not qualified to make medical judgements.

You’re right. I’ve heard both Joe Judge and Brian Daboll say in press conferences that part of a coaches job is to protect a player from himself when he’s hurt. That’s why my first thought went there, but if he’s cleared he’s cleared.
I know they didn’t put THAT DUDE one on one with Jamarr Chase
NFL- compromises safety, among other things for the $
No it wasn't. That was a Rugby scrum with most of the oline pushing him across the line.
Should not have changed the rule.

He had help but those legs kept driving.
Just as Edmonds drops an easy TD pass.
All the movement and guys running wide open all over the field is crazy

He was stopped at the 4 yard line and was pushed over the line by 3 linemen.

if he doesn't keep driving they can't get him in. A lot of guys get stopped there. You don't think Mixon is a great back?

2-1 something to laugh at? Bengals are 1-2 with a loss to the, oh yea… Cowboys.
why? because he tries really hard?
Meanwhile Tua wasn’t without his critics; didn’t Flores get fired for this?
Uniforms are awful btw

LOL - decisive and deadly accurate = 8-14, 110 yds, 1 INT,
Massive double-standard, just so predictable

Yes they do they just can’t do it unless cleared by a 3rd party (if it’s concussion related). It was a back injury anyway.
Again, it's not the Dolphins, right?
An independent doctor would have allowed him back in.

It’s certainly plausible that he stumbled b/c of his back last week, but whenever someone stumbles people think it’s a concussion.
In any event he had head & neck injuries this time

HCs rely on the docs to give them the thumbs up or down. If they give a player the good to go, the HC isn't going to say no.

When a player shows objective signs of brain trauma, as Tua did, those signs should be given more weight than they were evidently given in this case.
I'd be pretty sure that is basis of NFLPA complaint.

Yes he has some talented targets, but I would imagine he does fairly well with even a lesser set of pieces around him.
