Yankees are not playing for anything. Would it kill them to play Peraza the next couple of games to actually see what he can do. I understand IKF is a gold glove 1st ballott HOF. Unbelievable.

We are supposedly, through MLB's archaic blackout rules, in the O's TV market. The O's are on MASN but hardly anyone down here has MASN. So any O's game on MLB Network is blacked out. Hell every O's game period is pretty much blacked out.

in that spot. It was the right move. But the way it happened is why baseball can be such a tedious game. The base is open. It’s the obvious move. Instead, the manager goes to the mound for a long conference. Then the reliever throws two pitches nowhere near the strike zone. (Then he rolls his ankle leading to an even more interminable conference with the trainer.) Then the pitcher finally throws another pitch, which also isn’t close. Only then does the manager decide to do what should’ve taken 5 seconds when Judged walked to the plate, put up the 4 fingers. Pretend people are watching this shit and that it needs to be at least somewhat entertaining.

The combo of Rizzo, Torres, Stanton, and DJM were horrid last night.

If Carp shows he can hit, Stanton is the most logical guy for his lineup spot to be taken. Stanton hasn’t shown anything that remotely resembles turning into something offensively.

The Yanks have time to experiment with lineups etc. Here’s one I would try- sit Stanton for the remainder of the season- no BP, no games- just sit and clear the head watching everything else. Start up BP during the Wild Card round and let him face live pitching again on the 11th.

Sometimes when you are in a rut this deep, you have to stop and breathe before trying again.

I would also DH Donaldson for the remainder of the season. It should get him prepared for what SHOULD be his playoff role- bat off the bench and late inning defensive replacement.
